Amazing beachside paradise with unique architecture, great food and super helpful staff
Hotel can extend even further onto the beach. Currently beachside facilities feel neglected or not as part of what hotel offers.

location, food was amazing

Wonderful design and architecture and very detailed oriented. The facilities were comfortable and the staff exceptional. The restaurant also, very well run and food delicious. One of the best stays we have had!
We enjoyed everything.

location and hotel design
I was charged 250 USD for a deposit which was never refunded back to me. I went back and forth with them for weeks and then eventually with the fraud department of my credit card company. Apparently “the merchant has refused since refused our request for credit” - I am since out 250 USD (5000 Mxn) and have wasted many hours trying to resolve this with poor communication.

the perfect stay for tranquillity
lots of couples

Dreamy property and great, personal service. The beach where it is located is truly beautiful. We got engaged during this trip and I could not think of a more perfect place !
4.5
The overall aesthetic of the hotel was beautiful from the bedroom space, design and pool area.
The wildlife from the balcony was great, lots of unusual birds and butterflies and the soundscape was very relaxing
The resturant and bar staff were excellent
The food was a let down, for somewhere so isolated the menu was small, unappealing and dishes of the day didn't change.
No gym or exercise area
Couldn't swim in the sea, this could have been clear on booking.
The overall value for money is bad. The room is expensive, the food and drinks price on top is too much for the quality and at the end, several tips were suggested to be put on top again which should be included in the price of the room or the room reduced to allow for money to go towards tipping for each department at the end.
There was no extras, nothing to make you feel special for rhe price. No welcome drinks nothing to help us celebrate despite being asked what we were celebrating. There was no effort made to go above and beyond and for the price, that is what is expected.
One morning we waited an hour and 20 minutes for breakfast with barely any communication to then find out one of the items weren't available. No apology made, nothing taken off bill.
You leave feeling short changed.

Beautiful architecture and design, relaxed atmosphere and amazing service by the staff. They will bring you food/drinks to wherever you are on the property, which was great. They offer some tours but we did not have time to go on any of them unfortunately.
Our experience was great overall but we did think the food was lacking. We were expecting it to be a lot better. Also, the mosquitos. Not on the hotel per say but definitely put on the bug spray they provide.

It’s absolutely beautiful, clean, and the pool slightly warm, it was perfect!
not much of a fan of the salt water system there. I would like to have relaxed on the beach as well with lounge chairs. The drive was a bit much on dirt roads, especially with some rain.
4.5
we really enjoyed the grounds and the connection to nature.
not being able to close our room off to the outdoors and the constant crashing sound of waves and humidity made it difficult to get good sleep.

the location is beautiful and some of the staff were very helpful and friendly
It wasn’t really an ecolodge. It was more like an instagram trap. Very over priced. You don’t get much for your money beyond a scenic pool and areas you can pose for pictures.
I was quite disappointed.
The reception staff was unfriendly and unhelpful. We experienced better hospitality and generosity in other places in puerto escondido that were at least 1/2 the price.

It was architecturally stunning, the food was delicious, and we had exceptional service. The near-empty beach was amazing for walking and watching the sunsets. From check-in to check-out, the staff was friendly, discreet, and professional. I am an architect and appreciated all the details and the thoughtfulness that went into the design of the hotel, amenities, music, furnishings, etc. Although it was hot during the day, we never used the AC due to the wonderful cross-breezes and we slept wonderfully every night. Honestly, we were underwhelmed by the local beaches in PE and were grateful to return to the hotel and relax/enjoy the quiet, privacy, and beautiful surroundings.
The hotel's car and tour services (into town/beaches, airport, turtle release, etc.) were more expensive but when we used a local cab (about half the cost) to return to the hotel, they got lost... The location is difficult to find, but that remoteness was also what was appealing.
4.5
- outstanding and unique architecture, open spaces and proximity to the pacific
- rooms were spacious and the hotel size means it is quite intimate and you don’t have to fight for long chairs at the pool
- the design of the room (arcades) amplifies the surrounding noises especially as the front and back walls are wooden and don’t isolate any sounds
- the hotel is quite remote with a very bumpy road. Next restaurants are 15-20 minutes by taxi
- the staff was very nice and friendly but they didn’t match the standards we expected for this price
4.5
The aesthetic, the food, the service, the location, the pool. The entire experience was incredible.
The wifi was spotty but I expected (and preferred) to be off grid to an extent.
4.5
The property has a private beach and the architecture and design are incredible!
