About this apartment rental

Enjoy modern comfort in a historic 100+ year old home in the heart of Flagstaff. The apartment is one of four in this home. We are just a couple blocks from downtown shopping district and dozens of restaurants and shops. The apt. is a charming, newly restored space in the Aspen and Park Historic Homes, a 2-house, 7-unit compound. Lowell Observatory, Thorpe Park and the urban trails are all within a few blocks, and is conveniently located for trips to the Grand Canyon and the Snowbowl Ski Area.

This second floor apartment(1of 4) was our first renovation at Aspen and Park and we accented the architectural details, while adding some modern amenities such as a custom shower and a modernized mini kitchen. The kitchen has been outfitted with a coffeemaker, microwave, fridge, ice maker, dishwasher, two-burner counter top cooktop, and soft close cabinets. The queen size bed is a high end memory foam mattress, from which you have a view of the peaks and the stars through the original restored windows.

A Smart TV with WiFi access and an antenna for local channels allows guests to access all popular viewing options, but most importantly, our location will be the entertainment that you will love the most! Besides being able to take the short walk downtown to pick up a tasty dinner from numerous restaurants, you can also enjoy the peaceful newly landscaped backyard.
Come relax on the lovely and spacious porches of the homes at Aspen and Park in the historic district of downtown Flagstaff! Enjoy the unique solitude of a half acre of grounds in downtown, or stroll a couple blocks to enjoy all the fun happenings in the heart of "Flag". Lowell Observatory is just up the street, and shares a historical connection with the judge who built these homes in the early 1900s. With ample off-street parking at the homes you can put your keys away and enjoy the easy walk to numerous restaurants, shops and breweries. Thorpe Park with playground, tennis courts and frisbee golf is less than a 5 minute walk away, Flagstaff Public Library is within just one block and the center of downtown just past the library make the homes desirable for ease of travel and fun.
These downtown Flagstaff homes are on the National and Arizona Historic Registers. Come take advantage of this opportunity to experience Arizona territorial architecture from over a century ago, while enjoying all the comforts and expectations of contemporary living.

Our historic home has many great modern features but it is over 100 years old. There is a great central radiant heat system for heating the home in the winter along with extra portable space heaters. In the hotter summer months, we can supply window or portable air conditioning systems plus fans to keep you comfortable. While each apartment is completely private, there is the potential to hear noise from your neighbors. This is a second floor unit so stairs are required

My partner and I loved staying at this property. The mini-apartment is located within a historic home just a few minutes walk from downtown. Easy parking and access by car and great central starting point for any activity in Flag. The apartment was as listed, I would stay here again!

Small but very functional. The place was very well stocked (napkins, soap, dishes, etc.) We enjoyed our stay and would stay there again Improvement: the closet light often fails, no place to put soap in the shower.

The place was comfortable and appropriate for what I needed during my stay in Flagstaff. The neighborhood was quiet and conducive for sleep. The bed was a little lopsided, which I left the owner some positive feedback about it. For one person it didn’t bother me but for two it might be an issue. I only say this because a good nights sleep is very important to me. The small apartment was definitely better than a hotel as I had a kitchen that had everything I needed to cook small meals. Small Refrigerator did not have a freezer, but that was not an issue for me. I would not recommend the upstairs with children for the courtesy of downstairs guests. I did not find noise to be an issue from other guests. The house is very old so it does creek. The location was very close to downtown, within walking distance, but at night it’s very dark due to the Flagstaff ordinance of low lighting. Overall, it was a positive experience. I left feedback for the owner that it would be nice to list some of the items in the room that may not be shown in online photos. I would recommend communicating with the owner if there is something specific that you need as that is always best.

Well I somehow thought that I had booked an extra night for this rental, and I made a royal mess out of his rental schedule. He was really nice about it and worked out a solution for me. He couldn’t have been more gracious over my screw up. The apartment itself is super cute, very clean, and cozy as can be. Definitely a wonderful place to stay and an even better host.
