Nice secluded cabin in the woods with the smell of the ocean outside. This is my 2nd time returning, for a longer stay this time and I will definitely return again. Great getaway home.

We were not expecting the steam shower. We really enjoyed this. Also it was within walking distance to the beach. We had a great vacation!

This is one of the most secluded, peaceful rentals on the coast.

This house showcases its unique expression and mood as soon as you drive up. Once inside, you will marvel at the details of a clever, ultra-modern design. It incorporates all the amenities and comforts you need to relax, cook, eat, bathe, and sleep. Endless windows reveal views of the quintessential, dense, magical, Oregon forest. Few minutes walk to the gorgeous beach. This place is truly like no other.

If you prefer the cool shadows of the deep forest, this architects dream is nestled back in a nest of big trees, but you can hear the surfs drone on beyond them. A very private quiet place, perfect for rest and recuperation. This was the cleanest home I've ever rented. The floor heat wasn't working but the portable heaters worked out. One suggestion would be to improve the lumpy soft beds. Overall a wonderful place and surrounding area.

Loved the unique modern design and peace and quiet of being in a forest. Close to the beach!

This house is like a modern Forest Sanctuary! Fantastic architecture, placed in a lush Northwest forest, and just a short walk to the beach! The house is phenomenal, thoightfullu designed and gorgeous! However, we feel inclined to knock off 2 stars, because upon arrival, the front door would not open with the key. The door seemed broken, as we finally could enter the residence via walking around the house through the muddy trail to the back door. Called vacasa numerous times, where the complaint was logged but nobody ever came to fix the door or call me back. The second bedroom is in the separate part of the home accessible through the covered front door breezeway area which we couldn't access easily due to the front door not working. Please fix immediately, this house deserves 5 stars if the door was fixed during our stay!

As other reviewers have indicated the location is lovely - it was fantastic to wake up and see the trees all around. The kitchen was well equipped and there were plenty of dishes. The challenges were that the first night we were fairly cold. The listing says that if you want it warmer, use a space heater, but it didn't say that you should bring your own space heater. The extra blankets all seemed to be wool, and I'm allergic to wool. The next night was warmer inside. I'm not sure the reason, but it was frustrating to not be able to control the temperature at all (set to 66 and not to be adjusted). Also the glass/wood barn doors are lovely, but we were asked to keep them closed, and they require more effort than a normal door. So it felt like a bit of work to travel from the bedroom to the living area. Third, and this is minor, I really prefer if there is notice that we shouldn't wear shoes in the house before arriving so I can bring some indoor shoes with me. Not everyone has the ability to go shoeless. And lastly, I think we have decided not to book with Vacasa in the future - it is much nicer to have a real person who knows the house. We ended up leaving early because we decided it would be more comfortable at home. But....there are lots of folks for whom these things would not be problems. I just wish I had known before booking.

Our family enjoyed our stay at this modern home tucked in the woods. We enjoyed the views from every window out into the woods. Sitting on the deck in the morning gave us the feeling of being in the tree tops. The steam shower was amazing. The one negative was the comfort of the double bed in the main bedroom. It was lumpy and felt "U" shaped. Ended up sleeping on the couch instead.

This house was beautiful and a perfect respite to de stress. The amenities were top notch, the forest surrounding it were magical, and the walk to the beach was not very far.

The architecture of Coleman Creek House is amazing. We loved the natural light and views in practically every direction. Listening to the songbirds in the nearby trees was wonderful. If you like a firm mattress, you'll be fine...otherwise it feels pretty stiff. The only other thing we wished for were screened windows that opened for fresh air (and to hear the ocean!).

The design and architechture of the house is just beautiful and unique. We loved being in the woods just a few blocks from the ocean and using the steam shower with the windows to the trees. The house is nicely equipped with kitchen supplies, games, bath towels, games, etc. A few things that would be nice to have would have been more than 3 wine glasses and some beach towels and chairs to use while staying in the home.
I would hesitate to book another home with Vacasa. I did have occassion to reach out to them, once waiting 3 weeks for them to get back to me after me emailing several times. It concerns me that in an emergency or real issue with a rental, it would not be addressed in a timely manner.

The property is absolutely gorgeous, but seriously- the beds were painful. I almost slept on the couch instead.

This is probably the coolest place we have ever stayed. It feels like you really are nestled within the trees with windows everywhere. Just 5 blocks from the beach and not far from Tillamook, this is definitely 5 star!

Modern private escape
We really enjoyed this home and the beautiful scenery. Had everything you need and very calm and private. Steam shower was lovely.

I can't say enough about the attributes of this home. Its architecture and design are incredible...so much so that it was a struggle to leave it to go to the beach. It was calm and peaceful, and perfectly situated as a private getaway. We truly felt immersed in the local forest. And yet, the beach was a quick 5-minute walk away. The kitchen was also the most well-stocked of any rental I have ever visited. It had enough pots, pans, and accessories to suit all of our cooking and baking needs. Furthermore, the house actually lost power within minutes of our arrival due to a downed power line...the house, however, is equipped with a backup generator which made the wait for power restoration MUCH more bearable.
Our only gripe is with the Vacasa management. Upon arrival, we noticed that the shower drain was clogged and that the shower started filling up immediately. There was a sign warning guests that the drain should be cleared if the shower begins to fill up. Clearly Vacasa is aware of the problem, and so I was shocked that the drain was not cleared prior to our arrival. It was a bit frustrating to spend the first 10 minutes of our vacation cleaning out hair from a shower drain.
We also contacted Vacasa as soon as we noticed the power outage (the generator did not power the kitchen appliances, and so we were unable to cook). While the agent was nice, she simply filled out a maintenance ticket, and never contacted us again. We had to do a little legwork to contact the repairman directly in order to get status updates. To his credit, the repairman (Tom) showed incredible dedication to providing customer service. He was helpful and sympathetic, and really made me feel good about our stay. I just wish that we had received similar treatment from Vacasa directly.
Lastly, we unfortunately left a couple of items in the house after our departure. I contacted Vacasa 2 hours later, but the agent simply filled out a “ticket.” She told me that I would be contacted "soon" with shipping information. After 3 days of waiting, I called Vacasa again. I spoke with new agent, who resubmitted the "ticket" and said that I would definitely hear back with them within 1-2 days...that was over a week ago, and I have yet to hear anything from Vacasa. I feel like I have to follow-up with Vacasa to get anything accomplished, and it’s honestly hard to find the time and energy to do that so often.

Pleasant views and extremely quiet! The home had everything we needed for our trip. Given that the house was settled within a beautiful forest, waking up and being able to see the outdoors and hear the birds chirping was a huge plus. Walking to the coastline was nice too - easy access. No traffic. Good neighbors. Such a great stay!

This house, its location and surroundings inevitably will remind how life should be lived. No rush. No worries. Just nature, and you in harmony and with a peace of mind.
The Cape Meares is not a touristy very quiet town which makes it perfect for those who look for a peaceful break from the urban noises.
This tranquil place is beautifully set in the privacy of the woods, only a short walk away from the beach. The architecture of the house not only well blends into the outdoor surroundings, but also provides for enjoyment of and inspiration from the woods scenery while both in- and outdoor.
The house has everything and way beyond for comfortable stay. The description and instructions are very precise. The only thing is that it is more stunning in person than pictures show.
Our children so much enjoyed the activities and books they found in the living room.
Over our stay were able to spot elks, deers and even a family of barred owls.
We look forward to come back again.

As a prior person noted...this place was so enjoyable to lounge in that we had a hard time walking the two minutes to the beach! In fact we almost missed an amazing sunset because we didn't really want to leave the comfort of the house! Bottom line, we're looking forward to a return visit to enjoy the trees after they leaf out (they were barely starting when we were there). Anyhow, as two people that are fully entrenched in Oregon architecture, it was wonderful to see a place that melded so nicely with its setting. This is one of those places you kinda don't want to share with your friends BUT is so amazing that you can't keep it to yourselves!

This home is so special. The architecture is absolutely amazing and we never stopped admiring the home itself during our stay. It was actually a little difficult to leave to go to the beach and other activities because just being in the home itself is so nice. You can look out of the many windows into the trees and feel at peace - I don't think there is any spot in the home where you can't look and see something beautiful through the windows (or even just the home itself). The ocean is a short walk away and we enjoyed the sights and attractions of the area as well (Tillamook Creamery, the lighthouse, Agate Beach, Latimer Quilt and Textile Center, and even an affordable 30 minute horseback riding lesson at 2 Hats Ranch for our 6-year-old first-time rider, and lots more). If you want the excitement and hustle and bustle of nightlife and entertainment, this home isn't for you. If you want to feel at peace and get away from it all while still enjoying all of the creature comforts we've come to expect in our everyday lives, come here! The only negative is that at some point you will have to leave and go home.
