Everything about The Greyhound Inn was lovely! The location is fab with free parking, and a brilliant circular walk straight from the door (Warslow to Thors Cave & Ecton Hill, stopping off at Wetton Mill cafe along the way!). The staff, food, and pub were all brilliant. It's one of those rare places that you want to recommend to everyone, whilst also keeping it secret!
Nothing!

Lovely, old traditional pub

Location and friendliness of staff
That it was not clear on booking that did not include a cooked breakfast. Coffee at breakfast was not that great.

Friendly staff
Nothing!

The location was great, and considering the age of the pub, the room we stayed in (Devonshire) was very comfortable and modern.
booking.com said breakfast included, although when we got there, we were charged £7 per head if we wanted a cooked breakfast - which was below average.

The property was very clean and everything was very accessible from here.
Nothing, it was amazing.

Great location
Attention to detail of young staff serving evening meal. I asked for an ice bucket for my wine but it never materialised.

Easy to locate within a picturesque setting. The hotel was quiet and the staff were friendly and helpful. The food was great for breakfast and dinner, and there was a lovely family atmosphere.
Nothing not to like about the greyhound inn. 🙂

Staff were brilliant.
Shower drained slower than normal, but I’m sure this will be fixed.

Very friendly staff and good communication prior to arrival. The window seat in Devonshire was a great place to read. Food and service was excellent. Happy to have the dog stay.
The toilet light is on a sensor, so if you go to the toilet in the night the whole room is illuminated. Switch would be better.

Staff were friendly and helpful and the food was really good.
nothing really the stay was enjoyable no complaints about anything.

Rooms were lovely, light and airy. We had the room with the private bathroom, perfect for what we needed. Nice outside seating area. Pizza are delicious-recommended!
We would recommend a stay here :)
The beds are a double so if like us you're used to space, you'll be snug :)
Small car park and a very busy local pub so may not get space right away. If you want an early night then take ear plugs. It can get a little loud downstairs, didn't bother us just the heads up.

Hidden gem! Everything was just perfect! Thank you for having us! We really Hope to return soon!

The warm welcome from the owner and all staff were friendly & helpful. The bar food was excellent and the option of a packed lunch as I had to go out before the breakfast service started was a nice surprise. The room was clean and comfortable and the dogs were made very welcome too.
I know it can’t be changed and it’s a popular pub (which it deserves) but I hadn’t considered the noise levels which went on very late. Not a complaint, just for future awareness on my part.

The Greyhound is a perfectly placed for exploring Derbyshire. We visited many different locations, without spending our whole break in the car.
The Greyhound was exceptionally clean and the staff and regulars were all very friendly and welcoming. The owners could not have been more accommodating, in particular to my husbands dietary preferences, and our arrival within 20 minutes of booking. The owner (Lee) was extremely knowledgeable about the area, and following his guidance we saw many sights we would have otherwise missed.
The breakfast (which was included in the price of our stay) was excellent and plentiful, and there was plenty of home cooked food to choose from in the evening. There was also an option of ordering a packed lunch. It was all very good value for money.

The pub is in a pretty village and is well placed for visiting places like Buxton and Bakewell. There are also plenty of walks nearby with stunning scenery.
The noise of people in the pub below into the evening but that’s to be expected really. We could have gone down and joined them but we were tired after all the walking and fresh air 😃

Excellent service with lovely evening meal and atmosphere, very friendly staff and dog friendly
slightly uncomfortable bed with limited space. Bathroom light also automatic which meant that it came full on at night, would be better with a.night light
