This 5-bedroom, 4.5-bathroom newly built Lake Martin residence provides plenty of relaxation and the perfect weekend spot to gather with family and loved ones! Featuring an array of household amenities and ample living space - both outside and inside - spread out and kick your feet up for an idyllic vacation at Alabama's most beautiful lake! This home offers a screened-in porch with large flat-screen TV (awesome for fall football!), along with two indoor seating areas that open to both a kitchen and dining area. The large, well-appointed kitchen boasts plenty of counter space for meal preparation and serving and comes stocked with stainless steel appliances, utensils, glassware and more. The dining area is situated in front of a full wall of floor-to-ceiling windows, offering an incomparable view of the water and sunset - the perfect complement to dinner. On the main level are two master suites, each with its own king-size bed and walk-in shower, as well as a separate powder bath and a laundry room.

Upstairs, you'll find two more king bedrooms, two full bathrooms (one with tub/shower combo to accommodate little ones) and a bunk/play room (what we affectionately refer to as "The Aquarium"), which can sleep up to four kiddos.

This was our second time staying here and it was even better than last time. We had the best holiday weekend here with friends and family. After renting many times in all different locations on the lake, we decided this house is in the best area. It’s basically middle of the lake and easy access to all the fun things to do and restaurants. The house itself is amazing!! The cove is quiet for swimming and chilling by the dock, and when you’re ready to do some boating, you come out of the cove to some gorgeous open water(great spot for a sunset cruise as well)! I highly recommend this house for anyone looking for an amazing lake vacation!!

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay with family while in the area visiting oir son who atteda Auburn University. House was gorgeous ans setting on the lake qas tranquil ans perfect for gathering, cooking, and unwinding together.

This lake house is just as stunning in person as it is in the pictures! The beds are all very comfortable, plenty of space in the living areas to spread out and relax. We especially loved lounging on the screened porch and the dock. The cove is tucked away with low traffic so perfect for swimming, but with quick access to big water for gas stations and restaurants on the water. We will definitely return!

We loved this property for our annual Lake Martin trip. The furnishings are high end and decor is beautiful. The location cannot be beat, being so centrally located. The kids in our group loved the lilipad for swimming off the dock. Kitchen had all the accessories we needed to cook. The king bedrooms with en suite baths made it so comfortable for the adults while the kids loved the 4 beds in the kid room. The only two TVs are in the main living room and screened in patio - not a negative for our group but worth mentioning. Kids had iPads but we enjoyed the lake more than the TVs! Paul was super responsive and even changed his payment structure with VRBO to make it easier for renters to pay installments (deposit + remainder) to accommodate guests. Boat rental is 5 min away at Kowliga and docking boat was easy on floating dock. There’s a rocky/sandy area for littles ones to Wade in water (bring water shoes). All in all, loved this home and can’t wait to come back!

Perfect is THE word to describe this amazing home. The location is close to so many wonderful places to eat. The house was laid out just right for our family and teen age grandkids. It was spotless inside and out. And the owner made every effort to be sure we had what we needed. It was perfect!

My wife, our son and his girlfriend were joined by my sister in law and husband with 2 adult children. All professionals. Everyone had a bedroom and a bath. The house was spotless, immaculate, furnished beautifully, decorated very well, screened porch, large dock, comfortable beds and very an attentive host. My husband and I, along with our three adult children and five grandchildren met at this lovely home on the lake for the week of Thanksgiving. It was a perfect fit for our needs. The house is clean and well appointed. We especially enjoyed the screened porch with a wood burning fireplace and TV. A great place to get away and enjoy nature!

This is our second trip to this wonderful lakeside home. Property is in a great location -peaceful, quiet and beautiful. The house worked perfectly for our family, with spots for everyone and opportunities for quiet spots as well as more communal gatherings. The spacious screened porch with fireplace and large-screen TV was our go-to spot - amazing! Our host was kind and accommodating. All-in-all a great experience!

Shady Pines is a wonderful vacation home to rent for family time. There is plenty of room for everyone. The screened porch was a favorite hang out spot for us. Everything you need is included with the rental. This property is located on a perfect spot at Lake Martin. We rented a boat from Kowaliga Marina, just a few minutes away. Paul, the owner, was super quick to respond to my questions. We will definitely be back!

Our church group comprised of five couples, all over 60, enjoyed a wonderful stay in this gorgeous home on Lake Martin. The amenities met all our needs, excellent appointed kitchen. We prepared all our meals with great ease (had to keep some food in our coolers with ice as we had large supply of refrigerated items). The only problem was the ice maker, as it only makes a very small amount of ice several times a day. Living areas, bedrooms, and bathrooms were above our expectations! Paul was a very attentive host. We would love to repeat this visit!

We rented this beautiful lake home for a family vacation. We had 8 adults and the house was perfect. We had plenty of bedrooms, bathrooms and living space for everyone. The home is absolutely beautiful and beautifully decorated. Paul checked in to see if we needed anything but we had everything we needed for our stay. The location is great and we spent lots of time hanging out on and around the dock in the quiet slough. We rented a boat and had no issues docking it at the house. The porch with fireplace is super cozy and there are three different gathering spots inside not to mention the gorgeous dining table/area as well as an outside dining table. The pictures do not do this home justice….you will not be disappointed. Everyone in our group asked if we could please come back to this house from now on. Thank you for sharing your beautiful home with us and for your hospitality in making sure we enjoyed our stay.

What an amazing property! Everything we needed was available and this home made for a truly relaxing time at the lake. Communication with the host was super easy and Paul is a very helpful and accommodating host. Easy check-in/check-out process. Location is in a quiet cove just around the corner from open water where you can enjoy any boating activity you want to. Also, it is a quick boat ride to nearby kowliga restaurant/marina as well as Chimney Rock. Just an all around perfect vacation property! Would definitely rent from Paul again!!

The home was newly constructed, well appointed, warm, and inviting. The back porch and side screened in porch with fireplace were especially great for entertaining or relaxing. The home is convenient to Russell Crossroads (Catherine's Market and Springhouse) and Kowaliga Restaurant. It is around 1.5 hours from Birmingham.

Our family had an absolute amazing time at Paul's brand new property on Lake Martin. The pictures do not give this luxury retreat justice what so ever, it truly is much better than we imagined. The rooms are spacious, the beds are comfortable, the furnishings are amazing, the rooms are quiet, and the outdoor fire place is a great spot to relax. Besides the property being top notch, Paul is one of the best hosts I have ever met during a VRBO stay. If you are thinking of booking this property you will not be disappointed.
