About this apartment rental
With its ornate exterior and art-deco sign, The Plymouth is a South Loop staple. Step through the glass doors and into the chic lobby. Gold and wooden accents decorate the open space. You can lounge on the rooftop and savor the city skyline. In your apartment, expansive windows illuminate the open floorplan. Settle into your stay and take advantage of the fully equipped kitchen, in-suite laundry, and cable television.
You won't have to travel far to experience the best of Chicago. Grab a savory deep-dish pizza from Lou Malnati's for an impromptu picnic at Grant Park. Stroll through the impressive halls of The Art Institute of Chicago as you travel through time. Get in on the Windy City action at The Plymouth.
High-rises. Low-rises. Hidden neighborhoods and buzzing downtowns. With contact-free check-in and 24/7 digital support, everything you need for a perfect stay is just a tap away.
We have multiple spaces at this property, each designed to give you a beautiful place to stay — while our style is consistent, the view, layout, and design may vary.

Great location to get to soldier field, museums, and more. The subway, L, and buses are all within a block.
The only downside is due to the city of Chicago. Lots of police presence around, so it’s rarely safe. But I wouldn’t walk around after dark alone due to the homeless and a few bad citizens.

The apartment was smaller than listed and while it does have 3 bedrooms, two of the three bedrooms walls don't fully reach the ceiling, so sound travels all through the apartment.
The street noise was louder than expected for a weekend in the financial district when most businesses were closed.
The kitchen had barely enough cooking equipment to make, so we ended up eating out for all meals.
When we booked the reservation we didn't realize the neighborhood was not as nice as other neighborhoods in the South Loop, with a prison directly behind the apartment complex.
The property manager was clear and easy to communicate with and gave specific instructions how to get in/out.
I'm not sure the value is worth what was paid, but it was a decent rental experience despite the few disappointments mentioned above.

We loved the rooftop space. The views were great and we enjoyed having a large space to gather for games, ping pong and tv. Two of the bedrooms were very small but we enjoyed our stay.

Place is a lot small than it appears. Not a place for privacy. Two out of the three rooms are partitioned. The walls do not reach the the ceiling so any noise will wake everyone up. We called and they explained it was up to code. Right!! Parking is a pain but something you’ll have to figure out. Just do the match when it comes to street parking or parking lot.

The description of this apartment is very misleading. There is only ONE actual bedroom. Walls that do not extend up to the ceiling creating a full break from "room to room" is not considered a bedroom. It should be notated at the very beginning of the apartment description and should note that there is very little to no privacy with two out of the three dwelling spaces.
There were multiple areas in the apartment that were not clean, spills/splatters on walls, and under the beds were atrocious with dust and liter. The washer and dryer (which are convenient to have) had standing water in them which gave a smell and had to be run to get rid of it.
The only room that was fully private, could barely have the bed fit so the door could open and close all the way. This then lead to the fixed lighting on the wall to be directly above a persons head and continuously be hit or bumped anytime you moved or rolled in bed.
The luggage storage is not secure, AT ALL. Everyone staying at that facility has access to that room at anytime. There were small lockers to lock up say a purse, but all other belongings were open to whoever else had a code at that building.
Although the outdoor patio and upstairs common area is nice, the hours are way to restricted.
If privacy does not matter and you don't have to store luggage for an extended period of time, this can get the job done. If you are actually looking for a Superior spot, I do not recommend this would complete your wishes.

We enjoyed staying in the property - amazing view of the Willis Tower. Easy to access, close to the Metro but we didn't even use it because we walked everywhere. Target is close by for groceries which was good. Air conditionned apartment, good towels, kitchen was sufficiently equipped. A little tight for 5 people - beds in the 2nd and 3rd rooms are doubles and were too small for me and my husband but were fine for the kids. A great experience and we would stay here again.

Awesome space!

Way overpriced. Poor quality. Apartment had 3 bedrooms - should be 2. Walls did not go to ceiling. Low build quality. OK as student accommodation but that is about it - a poor VRBO experience.

This apartment was perfect for my family of 5. We hade enough room and felt very safe. We had one issue with the hot water, but it was taken care of quickly. The location was perfect. We walked to the Shed Aquarium, Field Museum and Magnificent Mile. Would stay here again.

Good condo! Has everything you need, close to transportation and lots of things to do within walking distance.

The location and ease of check in made this a great stay. It was clean, and modern and has a wonderful rooftop to hang out at. The only downfall is that it was a bit too modern as the bedroom walls did not go all the way to the ceiling. We were there for business so the lack of complete privacy for the coworkers overshadowed the other great things about it.

This unit could have had better window treatment. The street noise and brightness from the transparent blinds were pretty bad. The first night I got almost no sleep.

The property was nice, but it was a little weird that the walls didn’t go all the way to the ceiling so there wasn’t any privacy and you could hear everything.

We had a wonderful time in Chicago staying in this unit!
Pros: 2 good sized bathrooms, huge windows/natural light in front of apartment, easy check in IF you read the step by step directions closely, comfy couch and beds, well equipped kitchen, 2 blocks from Millennium Park/Art Institute, quiet building, easy, reasonable parking if you use the recommended parking apps.
Cons: we (group of 5 women) felt safe in this neighborhood overall but know that many surrounding businesses close on the weekends and it gets pretty quiet at night, 8/10 cleanliness-not terrible but not pristine, kitchen table is way too big for the space, pillows were thick and super firm-bring your own or purchase a cheap set at Marshall’s like I did.
This is a great space for a group of very close friends who have no secrets and are comfortable living together in close quarters. Double beds, no sound privacy -not great for couples, if you know what I mean:)

So clean and well taken care of. The building is absolutely gorgeous!

The check-in was easy and seamless. The apartment was clean, the beds were comfortable, and showers and appliances worked well. The downsides were: (1) the unit faces the street (South Dearborn), and the sirens, train and other street noises were quite pronounced, (2) two of the three bedrooms have one wall that does not extend all the way to the ceiling, so there was zero noise insulation from the rest of the unit, and (3) the switch off between AC and heat is controlled by the building, not by individual units (for example, we wanted it to be a lot warmer, but it took a long time for the temperature to naturally rise to where we were comfortable).

This 3 Bedroom, 2 Bath property was perfect for us - a group of older friends in Chicago for a few days. The booking process was quick and efficient, and they were great at communicating every detail we needed. Keyless entry worked smoothly, and was actually nice not to have to worry about a key. The apartment was clean and had everything one needed for a stay. We were definitely impressed by the top level appliances in the kitchen, and the added bonus of a full size washer and dryer. The location is easy walking distance from many things. The train could be noisy but you don't even realize it's there after the initial encounter - not a problem at all. The building was super quiet. Loved the rooftop facility-a definite extra bonus.

Very clean, nice location, easy check in and out, comfortable beds and couch. Stocked adequately for a short stay. We liked the local bagel and coffee shops. CVS is right around the corner and 7-eleven even closer. Overall great experience and location for exploring the city.

Great property, very clean, tons of space for a city apartment and pictures matched up exactly. Parking easy to access across the street. And a Safe neighborhood with easy access to sights and the highway.

What a great little apartment. Very outfitted with everything you’d need. Lovely decor. Great location however despite the listing saying heat and AC the AC would not turn on. Upon entering the apartment it was 77 degrees, we turned off the heat and opened the windows the temp didn’t budge. The management company was great and confirmed the heat was off, brought fans but it was still unbearable so they relocated us. I hated to move because the apartment was great.

Good location apartment is very clean convenient parking at front but would be better helpful to have a better description of the beds and to have better mattresses my wife found it very uncomfortable to be able to rest because the mattress that we got is curved in the middle
