The location was absolute magical.
The beds were all very comfortable and great that most had ensuite bathrooms.
Clean and very well equipped.
Good water activities.
Rob was very friendly and helpful.
A couple in our group of 9 thought there may have been air cond however in our travels we have found many places do not have air cond. Being near water it cooled at night and was comfortable with windows open.

very clean, the house was amazing and great views
there are no shops on the island so didn’t have unlimited food :(- but ended up bringing just the right amount of food

Bed was unbelievably comfortable and the location is exquisite. Great facilities (kitchen has everything, lots of kayaks, different seating areas).
The room was very small (because the bed was enormous) and there were quite a few hairs (from the north and south) around the bathroom which was a bit grotty..
Rob the property manager was fantastic.

The place, location, the host, the view, our room, kitchen 😀 everything superb

This is a stunning property, perfectly situated to take advantage of the views and with great staff who made everything easy and comfortable. The shared facilities - lounge, kitchen, balconies - were ideal, and our room with ensuite was excellent with a super comfortable bed and great shower. The breakfast ingredients and coffees supplied were diverse and delicious. Everything just feels luxurious and better than I’d anticipated.
Although there was nothing at all I didn’t like, I wasn’t sure until we got there exactly what we’d be getting in terms of room facilities. We knew we had a room with ensuite; I wasn’t sure if the kitchen and jug, toaster, fridge etc were shared. The shared part of the lodge is just lovely and no problem; I just wasn’t sure what was shared before we arrived.

Great quiet place and free from the hassles of the city
Some of the cutlery needed cleaning.
The ferry costs were very over priced which made for an over expensive weekend.

We had a fantastic weekend at Kawau Lodge. Amazing property and great value, and added bonus of kayaks and paddle boards to use. Robert the site manager was super helpful, and the rooms and breakfast were great. Will definitely be going back.
For some reason the shower up the back of the chalets was cold at night time and we couldn’t work out how to make it hot, but that could have been user error!

So relaxing 😌....away from stress and people.
There was nothing we didn't like. Its a perfect getaway. Sad and good that mostly people in my locality doesnt know about this Island. I have recommended so many people.

Just a beautiful setting, plenty of space for company or privacy.
Walks, water toys or just chilling in an idyllic environment- just beautiful

beautiful , a true paradise

Excellent location ... wonderful on site staff ... kayaks and other facilities were great ...
Manager did not specifically state that we have to bring our own food. We were told on FB messenger that there was a restaurant on the island but this was misleading. Ferries to and from Kawau Lodge and other parts of the island were always running late. Bush walk from Kawau Lodge needs to be sign posted more along the last few hundred meters of the trail i.e. not the trail that leads to Vivian Bay but the other shorter trail.

From the minute we arrived the staff were absolutely outstanding. We couldn’t have wished for a more welcoming arrival.
This place is a slice of paradise!
The only thing would be if the lodge had its own boat for guests to go to other locations on the island.

Loved the location and private nature. The house was so well stocked and well equipped for food preps, water activities, cabana bar and TV set up was great too. Loved the views! Exceptional.
This is more suggestions… not something we didn’t like.
-you need to pre-organise any transportation as you need water taxis or a private boat to get around.
-would be great to have board games or a pack or cards or something in the house as it’s pretty secluded.
-bring all your food and drinks as there is no restaurant there but the house has a bbq and awesome kitchen.

Perfect stay.
Clean, well equipped and amazing location.
Just be aware that there is no restaurant or supermarket. Bring your food
