About this house rental

Welcome to my modern second story space in downtown Madison. Business friendly, and Free access to co-working space a couple blocks away is included. 3 bedrooms with a beautiful kitchen and beer in the fridge. No need to Uber, you're just a few blocks from all the venues around the Capitol square, State St, and Kohl Center. Easy to get to the UW-Campus, Sylvee, Alliant Energy Center, and all the bars/restaurants in Madison.

Completely updated with modern kitchen and bathroom, exposed brick, and vaulted ceilings. This is the second level of a downtown 2 story house. Large common entry way, with a private door to the upstairs. *must be able to walk up stairs*

All 3 bedrooms are spacious and there is a washer/dryer in the space available for use. Bathroom is quite large including a tub & shower combo, towel warming rack, and wide vanity. Madison craft beer in the fridge!

Great place for a group attending a meeting at the nearby conference center. Host was helpful and quick to respond to questions! Parking is not easy if you have a vehicle, but other than that it’s great.

Our family stayed here in June. Inside the house was wonderful… There was plenty of space for our family of four and my kids enjoyed having their own rooms! The living room was very comfortable and the kitchen had plenty of space and supplies to cook meals and enjoy family time. The neighborhood is close to college life… The streets were lined with furniture and trash from students leaving on their summer break… Typical college experience I suppose, but not a great impression for first time visitors. I should have read the reviews about parking… We used a parking garage about 0.3 miles away which was OK, but would have been nice to have the car near the house. I would recommend including parking information on the property description so visitors can arrive prepared.

Overall, we had a wonderful stay! The apartment is spacious, updated, and in a great location. Communication with the host was easy and appreciated! We had a few minor issues with stains on towels and very dusty fans, but they did not impact our stay and there were plenty of extra towels provided. Parking was a bit of a pain because we had to move our car during the day, but there are several lots about a 10 minute walk away. Our one suggestion would be to provide a second set of keys or a code entry. We were here on a business trip, and with multiple people coming in and out at different points of the day, the two key system for the front and apartment door was hard to manage. Two sets of keys would have made this a lot easier as one set could be taken upstairs while one is left at the front door. Overall, we would recommend this location to anyone. It was a great option, and with a few minor changes, would have been perfect!

Clean, spacious (3) bedrooms, and within walking distance to Capitol Square and State Street. Parking on the street was free, but time limited. Several parking ramps (for a fee) were within walking distance. Justine was a gracious host. We will most definitely return to this accommodation!

My many family members stayed at the property and gave only positive feedback. The large open living room/kitchen was perfect for all activities. They accessed many things by walking or driving at times. I worried that the daytime moving of parked cars on the street was an inconvenience, but three young men in the group didn't seem to mind. Parking ramps were easily available to others who visited.

Levi's home should be perfect - lovely kitchen, three spacious beds that are very comfortable. Perfect location right by the lake, Brittingham Park and State Street Unfortunately there is loud construction going on literally outside of 2 of 3 bedrooms. The construction starts at 630a every day. It also obscures the view from the balcony (which otherwise would offer a very quaint sitting spot facing the lake)

Great location to campus and lots of walking options. Parking is at a premium but as long as you’re going to be out and about during the day it was fine. We were able to get parking on the block at night with no issues. There is currently a lot if construction outside the house that starts at 7 am. The space is very nice! Clean, well decorated, spacious.

The place was exactly as described. It was easy walking distance to state street and the capitol. There were cute welcome gifts and the place was spotless. Stylish furniture and a nice layout. The three bedrooms was perfect for us. The beds were comfortable. Parking was hard but we figured it out with a little plan. And as other reviewers said, there certainly was not enough hot water even when we divided showers for morning and night and tried to be quick. There is major construction going in behind the home. We are early risers so it didn’t affect us however that might be worth a note. I would recommend it if you are looking for a place to stay in Madison.

Had a wonderful stay in Madison at Doty's place. The house was beautiful and up a flight of stairs on the 2nd floor. There was ample space for three adults, beds were comfortable as were the sofas in the living room. The only issues we noted was the lack of hot water at night when we showered and it was lukewarm at best which was disappointing. Parking was challenging because it is street parking, but we were able to secure a spot each night. We also noted several outlets did not work in the bedroom off to the right. We would stay again. Great location, and super cute VRBO. Overall A +++

We loved our stay and appreciated the extras which made the space welcoming and comfortable. Our family enjoyed beginning and ending each day in the spacious open kitchen and living room. We plan to return again.

We had a wonderful experience renting Doty place! This is a large, modern, and tastefully designed apartment, very close to the downtown capitol area, with all amenities you will need for your stay. Only downsides are a single bath, albeit large (which did not bother us much for a party of four), and street parking with a two hour limit (enforced often; we saw parking enforcement multiple times during our stay). But the benefits far exceeded these minor downsides for us and we would love to return on our future trips to the Madison area.

Property was better than advertised. Great location, clean and comfy. College town neighborhood and it was move in week so parking was a bit challenging but I imagine that isn’t the way it is always. Would recommend and stay again.

We had a great time and this condo is located close to everything!! We walked everywhere. We hit the local restaurants, ran along the lake, did yoga and socialized on the back patio, enjoyed paddle boarding and sitting by the lake as well as the night life. The parking behind the condo was not available for parking when we were there, there were chains keeping us out but we didn’t have any trouble on the street the entire time. We wished the back patio was available to sit on after 9pm. I understand during the weekdays but quiet hours are typically 11pm on the weekends and we were bummed we couldn’t sit outside a little later on the gorgeous nights we had while there. Other than that the condo was wonderful for our girls trip!!

This was our second stay at Doty for our annual girls trip. The apartment is very clean and comes with everything you need! The outdoor space is awesome when the weather is nice and the front porch is cozy spot for 2 people. Parking can be tricky but if you don’t mind waking to the end of the street there’s a dozen or so free parking spots. Perfect location to bike the trails of Madison and walk to restaurants. We’ll be back next year!

Amazing place in Madison! The property is perfect to hang out in and is in walking distance of anything you would ever need. The host was super easy to reach and even let us extend our stay. The property was super clean and easy to check in and out of. Highly recommend this place to stay in. We will definitely be staying here if we ever come back to Madison.
