Very comfortable.

Good proximity to Charleston and surrounding area events. House was well stocked and clean. Clearly the host was thoughtful about providing for a everything you could need. Beds were comfortable. Traffic in the Charleston area is challenging; leave early and sigh greatly when you arrive back ‘home’!

Super sweet host and cozy place just as described. Book it!

Close to everything you want to do if you are in Charleston. Super clean and you have everything you need available in the house. Would definitely stay here again.

The location has amazing convenience to Charleston and beaches. The property is adorable and well stocked with all conveniences. The owner is professional and accommodating. The adjacent properties are really run down and neighborhood feels sketchy in some areas. Would definitely recommend this Vrbo as the benefits far outweigh the drawbacks. We really enjoyed our stay

Absolutely cozy little home very clean and property owner very nice! Will definitely be returning in the future!! If I could give it 10 stars I would

We thought the house was a really good one. We liked that the older property had been rescued. Some of the older elements added a nice touch. We wondered about the property boundaries because we wanted to be outside and were not sure about where we should be in the yard. Our advice to the host would be to add deadbolts to the door or change the entry code for each guest to prevent unexpected guests showing up too soon and causing a problem. Great location for access to birding areas south of Charleston.

We were charmed by Johns Island and this adorable VRBO. We spent much of our time on the area beaches which were about 30+ minutes drive. The area felt relaxing and friendly and we enjoyed sipping our coffees on the front porch. The host is friendly, helpful and responsive. Thank you Sarah for a much needed getaway!

This rental was in a great location on Johns Island and was very clean. The description was accurate. The beds made creaking noises which I am sure now could be resolved by the owner. We would rent here in the future.

We had a wonderful stay! Clean house, nicely updated, everything we needed. :)

Pros:
- Communication with host. Very prompt, professional, helpful
- Cleanliness.
- Amenities. Fully stocked kitchen & bathroom & convenient laundry
- Decor. Cohesive aesthetic & design
- Hospitality. The sign-in book, house binder, & cards were all a nice touch
- Temperature. Thermostat worked well 3/4 days & there are overhead fans
- Scenic drive to Kiawah Island
- Close proximity to Angel Oak Tree
Cons:
- Sleeping. Smaller bed's mattress sags in middle horribly and frame creaks with smallest of movements. Chose to sleep on futon instead. Neighbor's rooster crowed every hour from 4-8am first 2 nights
- Couch. Cute, but uncomfortable. Went to bed early instead of watching TV
- Dining chairs. Covered in faux velvet, so we covered them with trash bags
- Window shades. Bring tape for the sides
Vacation Recommendations:
- Simply Seafood; fresh, inexpensive, family-owned, close-by
- Magnolia Plantation isn’t worth it in the winter months
- Fort Sumter tour; the flag raising happens at 12 at the fort
- Kiawah Beach; can see dolphins feeding!
- Rita’s restaurant at Folly Beach
- Rainbow Row, Provost Dungeon, waterfront parks

Pictures do not do it justice. The home is so cutely decorated and you really are provided everything you need! A short and easy drive to Charleston so you can go enjoy the city day or night. Sarah provides coffee, a robust selection of spices if you like to stay in and cook and plenty of linens so you don’t need to pack extra! Would recommend staying here any day.

everything was clean and tidy and we really enjoyed our stay!

The house was very nice anad obviously has been upgraded with electrical, plumbing, flooring, etc. Our challange was the hot water pipes are exposed and froze in the unusually cold temperatures.

The house was clean, cute and welcoming. It was a great location for us because we were attending a wedding on John’s island. I probably would not pick this location if I wanted to be near the city or the beach.
4.8
The location was convenient for travel to both the city and beach. The house itself was perfect for all of our family’s needs - clean and updated throughout, perfect kitchen appliances for our needs, laundry facilities that were easily accessible, and very comfortable living room furniture and beds! Also, the host was very responsive and welcoming. We will definitely use this location again when we travel back to the area.

Everything has been carefully thought through to ensure that your stay is comfortable . The house is beautifully furnished, but feels like a home from home. We really enjoyed our stay !

The home was pleasant, comfortable and clean. All necessities were provided. We did not require kitchen facilities but everything was there if needed. The neighborhood on first appearance was a bit sketchy, but the neighbors were friendly and all was find. We enjoyed our stay.

All instructions were super easy at check-in and check out. The place is adorable, and they provided far more than anywhere else I've ever stayed.

Perfect
From the property to the host, everything about our stay was great. Will definetly return.

Loved staying here! The VRBO was styled so cute and was very clean. We were so comfortable inside.
I personally did not love the neighborhood. I didn't necessarily feel unsafe, but I also did not want to be outside at all besides getting my stuff to and from my car. Overall, a great place to stay!

This property was perfect for our mini vacation. The house was clean, beautifully decorated, and cozy. My wife, two children (ages 11 and 4) and I had a fantastic time here. The host was happy to answer our questions, stayed in touch with us, and was friendly and accommodating.
The house itself is located in a quiet neighborhood close to Folly Beach and downtown Charleston. Everything we needed was a short car ride away. We liked that we were able to escape the hustle and bustle of the busier areas when we came back. Coffee on the front porch was a favorite pastime of mine.
I believe this stay goes down as our best experience. I am so happy we found this place. We highly recommend!

The house is in great shape and was perfect space for our family. We were in town for a wedding on Wadmalaw Island. There is not a lot around the house, but I wasn't familiar with Johns Island, so there may not be much on the island!

I was very comfortable at the cottage and was pleasantly surprised to find it was actually much closer to Charleston than I thought! The cottage itself was very cleverly converted into an updated rental complete with washer and dryer which is so key when traveling. Thx again for a great stay!

The house has been totally redone as was very comfortable. Very convenient to our family on Johns Island, too. The bed was comfortable and everything we needed for our long weekend getaway was provided. The host provided full check-in and check-out instructions, and was easily reached when we had a question. The only slight negative was that the house next door was a bit of an eyesore (although the people were friendly) - maybe some more landscaping along that side would help the view.

This is a beautiful cottage on St. John’s and within 30-minutes from most all. We visited for our daughter’s graduation. Clean. Comfortable. Stocked with care.
But: Back yard neighbor is aggressive about his property. Our daughter came to visit and arrived at house before us. Parked in dirt road to right of house not knowing it belonged to the neighbor. (Country drive.) The neighbor blocked her and would not let her leave/move her car. He called the police. Broad daylight. She was in a dress. So our daughter was clearly not a threat. Neighbors on block told us the man is like this - and has fired his gun in air at children who venture on his land. Again - gorgeous cottage with many cute touches - just be sure you don’t make a parking mistake! To VRBO owners credit there are clear parking instructions to stay to front of house - because of septic system. But nothing about neighbor in back.
