We did not realize that this property was in a neighborhood that is not up to our standards. I was worried to leave my car in the driveway, as there is no garage or secure place to park. The windows did not lock, and the A/C is large free-standing units that vent to the outside via the windows, we were not able to close the windows in order to feel safe because we needed the air. which was also not sufficient. It was 84 degrees in the house when we got in, we would have had to run the units all day and night in order for it to be a favorable temp. to sleep. There were only two A/C units and the bedrooms that did not have them were extremely warm.
We left abruptly and had to find other lodging elsewhere for the following three days. We were very disappointed.

The house itself is nice. Cozy and had everything we needed. However I wish that the listing had stated that there was not central AC; only window units. We got there on a 90 degree day and those units were just not enough to keep it cool. We also didnt know until the day of check in that there is no eating or drinking allowed on the leather couch. I would think if you have a rental property it wouldn make more sense to have durable furniture. This was my only vacation of the year and I couldn't sit down on a comfy couch and enjoy a cocktail. So I didn't love that.
Neighborhood was pretty awful. Maybe that's on me for not knowing the area, but definitely didn't feel compelled safe there.
Lastly, the host tried to charge me for extra cleaning, stating that we "definitely" had a cat in the unit. We did not. So pet owners beware, if you have pet hair on your clothes or luggage and the host finds it, you'll probably be accused of having the pet there.

Overall, it was a good place to stay for our vacation. Aurora is a sleepy suburb of Denver, and it was nice to return to such a quite place at night. The amenities were nice: washer and dryer, dishwasher, TVs, etc. But tt was on the smaller side, especially in the bedrooms. The pictures made it look a lot bigger.
My only complaint is that the place did not have central air or heat, and the window AC units provided could not keep up with the summer heat. During the day, it was up to 85 degrees in the house with the air running at full blast.

Had it been between late fall and early spring, this property would’ve been fine. We booked for two nights but had to depart after one because the home was so hot. There were two stand-alone a/c units- one in the living and one in one of the bedrooms. We arrived at 7pm and both a/c units were on, though I’m not sure for how long. It was over 80 degrees outside at the time, but hotter inside. The living room read at 87 and the two bedrooms without a/c were at least 10 degrees warmer. We opened all windows, turned on every fan we could, and left the a/c running, but by 10pm the living room had only cooled to 84. The back bedrooms were still roasting. The living room got down to 81 in the morning so we decided after another 95 degree day in Denver, we couldn’t risk another night of that heat with our two small children. Corey was responsive and easy to communicate with, but didn’t have any solutions for the heat (I don’t think there is one beyond more A/c units). He did refund our second night (though with all of vrbos fees that was about 30% of our total cost).

Awful
Immediately on opening the door could hear water hitting the floor. I looked in the kitchen to see water spraying rapidly from a pipe in the ceiling. Not a small amount. Gushing. With my tired cranky children wanting to go to bed, I didn’t have time to sit around waiting to see if this was a quick fix or a complete plumbing nightmare. My wife said nope, and I agreed. For all I know this is going to take hours to fix or maybe not fixable at all without a plumber. It looked bad. I called the owner and told him that the property wasn’t ready to use because of the leak and that we would be finding other accommodations. I also called customer service to inform them. I was offered no refund and no sympathy whatsoever. I was told I should have just waited for the leak to be fixed and the mess to be cleaned up and that I was unreasonable for leaving the property! The fact that my young children were already up past their bedtime and the fact that a huge water leak didn’t seem like something that would have a quick easy fix, I was somehow at fault according to the owner and the foreign customer service agent. Bottom line, the property wasn’t ready to live in when I pulled up. A hotel would have offered another room or a refund right away. VRBO doesn’t understand what the word “hospitality” means. The burden was placed on my family to accommodate the unfortunate and ill-timed plumbing emergency. That’s not right. Don’t stay here. Don’t stay with vrbo at all. They’ll take your money if you refuse to stay in a property with water gushing from the ceiling so they’ll probably also make you pay for somewhere in fire or obliterated by a tornado or some other major problem. They don’t care about the customer, only the property owner.

Pleasant Stay
This was a comfortable and homey stay. Corey was very prompt at answering any requests and attending to our needs. If we get back to this area, we certainly would stay there again!

Not really good for 5 unrelated people. 2 of them left and got a hotel. 1 bathroom for 5 people is not very suitable. Wish I would have know all this. Neighborhood was ok. Pretty far from everything.
