A great base for mountain adventures, this 1BR mountain studio (sleeps 4) is just 10 minutes from the slopes of Vail Ski Resort. Comfortable and cozy, the studio features a full kitchen, spacious bathroom, 50” TV, and a shared hot tub.
INSIDE THE STUDIO
You’ll find this home, part of a triplex, up a short, sloping, heated driveway. After parking in the driveway, head along the left side of the garage to the front door of your studio. A sign above the door reading “Eagle’s Nest” signals your arrival.
Once inside the studio, you’ll plush high-end queen-size bed immediately on your left. Near the foot of the bed, a cozy living area features a sleeper sofa, and a 50” TV with DVD player. On chilly nights, it’s a great space to settle in for movie nights with hot chocolate.
To the right of the sleeping area, a wooden dining table seats 3. A small passageway to the right leads to a spacious bathroom with a shower/tub combo and a large single sink vanity with granite counter-tops.
Cook evening meals in the full kitchen, located to the right of the dining area. This well-equipped cooking space has a range of appliances, including a microwave, refrigerator/freezer, and electric stove-oven.
After a day spent blazing down alpine slopes, soothe aching limbs in the shared hot tub, accessible via a staircase on the right side of the garage. The tub sits on a deck area with a gas grill and outdoor seating for 4—the perfect spot for après ski dining and drinks.

A lot of the previous reviews for this property were either very positive or very negative, I was nervous.
I wish it stated somewhere in the listing about the parking situation. No street parking, no full sized trucks allowed, and very little space to park on driveway since there’s 2 other rentals in the same house. They expect you to park all the way over to the left but there’s a couple bushes and frozen down snow from poor snow removal that made it difficult to park in the spot we had to park in. I wish there was a picture of the driveway on the listing because it would’ve cleared up a lot of confusion.
Overall, this place wasn’t bad. It was definitely nothing extravagant but if you plan on being out most of your days in Vail, this is just the perfect place to rest your head at night.
Could hear the neighbors above (mostly just footsteps) but it didn’t bother me. The setup of the space is kinda weird and the couch felt very cheap (different than pictured. Felt like a cheap ikea couch). We couldn’t get the DVD player to work, but there’s cable. There is a free public bus that runs very close to this rental which was super convenient!! We saved so much money on parking due to the bus.
Overall, we had a good experience.

We enjoyed our stay. We didn’t realize that this was a basement unit, but that wasn’t a problem. There is a room with a decent kitchen, an enormous bathroom, and the main living/bed room. The place was comfortable and everything worked.
The layout of the place is a little weird, although there is a ton of space (the bathroom is huge did I mention) it is not very functional, and is probably optimal for a single couple.
The place was very clean overall, including the hot tub in the common area. The grill in the common area also works. We appreciated having the laundry in the garage
Access to the bus stop is an easy short walk- although navigating the busses takes some time, and it’s important to plan ahead and choose the right bus.
Parking at the place was easy for us, but if all three units have cars I can see it being very tight. The driveway is steep.

The sofa bed is not a quality mattress in any sense and is tiny. It’s not the one that is shown in the photos. Also, the amount of noise we heard constantly from the unit above ours was comically ridiculous. I’ve never in my life heard that much noise in a bottom unit - every single step and movement at all times of day and night. It sounded as if people were wrestling or playing soccer constantly. Other than these two things, it was a nice stay.

This is our first time doing VRBO and was really excited about trying something new. We got there and had a hard time figuring out the door. Then we get inside and it smelt horrible. It was so stinky and stuffy. It was clean at first sight, the bed is made and the floors are clean. But as I am going potty I can see stuff on the walls and sure enough it's black mold. It's also on the other side of the bathroom sink and on the floors coming up through the tile on the floors. We stay Thursday-Sunday morning. When we got home and unpacked our clothes smelt just like the place we left. My husband took his c-pap and he couldn't even use it when we got home because he was smelling the mold in his c-pap machine. I have never in my life stayed in a place that smelt so horrible. And the dishes were dirty, so I had to wash the dishes we used before we could use them. And they didn't leave us any toilet paper so we had to go out and buy more. They didn't have any wash clothes to wash my face with so I had to use a hand towel. I really want to use VRBO again next month as I am planning on going to Florida.

We will for sure be back. Great place, Owner was very proactive. Me and my wife had a great time and would recommend the place with 5 stars across the board.

Proximity to the Vail shuttle.

The stay was nice. We had an issue the last night due to parking. The place must have been booked. There were 2 trucks and 1 SUV and they couldn't all fit at the top of the driveway. However there is a 2 car garage, but I was unsure if we could use it.

Key entry very difficult. Parking narrow and steep. Noisy upstairs. No views as per advertisement.

From start to finish this was a horrible experience. Started off with the advertised parking spot being occupied without any available street parking. We had to park on a hill which due to snow conditions, our all wheel drive car got stuck which took an hour to dig out. The cabinets in the kitchen were broken and came to find out that the toilet was also not functional. Only way to flush was to remove the top to the tank and put my hand in the toilet water to manually flush. The worst part was that the upstairs neighbors through a massive party which included a DJ and what sounded like over 20 people screaming to the their music and stomping on the floor until after 3 am. If that wasn’t bad enough it truly felt like the ceiling was going to collapse at any moment leading to an incredibly sleepless night. Waking up to vomit along the driveway was the icing on the cake. When I called to complain, the owner basically put the fault on me and showed zero empathy. Vacasa is refunding the cleaning fee, which funny enough, was the only thing decent about our stay.

The location was great! About 12 min bus ride to Vail Transportation Center, right in the heart of everything.
HOWEVER.. The person staying in the studio upstairs could be easily heard all day and night. I could not get much sleep because I could hear them pounding on the floor above me with every step when they were walking around.
I could not only hear all their loud footsteps, but I could hear doors and drawers slamming shut and someone sneezing. I could hear noise going on upstairs during my entire stay and was woken up every morning at 6am with all the noise from the upstairs resident. It was very disappointing.
The owners left two stand-up fans that I turned on; hoping the white noise would block out some of the sound from the upstairs neighbor. But the fans did not help remedy the problem.

My concerns were not addressed. Rodent dirt in house l not a working dryer. Clean except for Rodent dirt. Lots of things need TLC. Stains and holes on bedding. Actually it's like a cute cabin in the woods but there were more issues than this.

Private, unique, affordable space in Vail. Nothing fancy, but clean and comfy. Noise upstairs not bad at all. Parking for that unit is super tight, definitely better for smaller cars. Communication/check in/requests for the unit were awesome. Bring slippers or indoor ‘shoes’ if you don’t like going barefoot

We loved how private it was. We loved the full kitchen set up. The living room area was super cozy. It remained cool in temperature our whole time there which was nice.

1st we made several attempts to make a early checkin and late checkout. We were refused by the property management, and told they needed to clean the unit prior. This would have been fine if the unit was actually clean. This unit was not even spot cleaned prior to our visit. Dirty linens, a mouse, spider webs in the bathroom and kitchen common area(by the sinks in both locations). Black mold growing under the sink kitchen , in the shower, and who knows where else. Underneath the pull-out couch it doesn’t look like it’s been clean in a very very long time(dirty tissue). The bed sheets had stains and holes and smelled. The tv didn’t work, it needed to be hooked up. 5 remotes and 2 worked. The toilet didn’t flush and needed to be fixed prior to using it. This is gross to ask any client to do. The parking situation was a joke.

The property inside was clean. Bed was soft and cozy. Kitchen stocked with dishes but not ground coffee for coffee maker. It was really cool on a super hot day because it’s a basement condo with no natural light coming in. Hot tub was great. For the price per night it was a great value for 3 people.

This property was very small (photos of course never tell the story). We were not supplied all of the needed linens to convert the sofa and air mattress into beds; property manager never responded during our stay. Air mattress leaked badly. Floor was dirty; dishes in cabinet not clean. TV/Cable instructions were wrong and took us an hour to figure out. In general, way over-priced and under-equipped, leading to a rough 3 nights.

Great for couples only, it has One Bed, a full kitchen, dining room, sofa, streaming service and a full bathroom.
I would not recommend for more people even the Sofa turns into bed.
Very Close to Meadow Bus Stop which connects you to Vail transportation.

The parking for this place was listed as having room for 5 spots, which was definitely not the case. We were lucky and coordinated with the other two units in the house to figure out a parking situation that didn’t block in any cars, otherwise it’s a steep and short driveway with the width to fit 2 cars in the winter.
Hot tub was very nice, also shared with the other two units, which are both rentals.
There was an air mattress but it was very flat after a couple hours.
Very close to the bus stop to base and town running often.
Overall the place had everything we needed, just not as expected.
