Welcome to Edgewater Escape, our lakefront home with incredible views that evoke a feeling of escape and relaxation. This is my sanctuary from life's hustle and bustle, and I'm excited to share it with you.

Our 4,000 sq ft home is thoughtfully designed to comfortably accommodate up to 12 people, providing a fun-filled waterfront vacation for your group. Lake Norman is one of our family's favorite places to relax and reconnect, and I'm sure you'll create wonderful memories here too.

OUTSIDE AREAS:
Our large, private cove is perfect for swimming and fishing, with very little boat traffic.
'You'll have peaceful waters for kayaks and SUPs, while still being minutes away from big water and the main lake.
Enjoy access to the water via dock stairs, and make use of our four kayaks, four paddle boards, and life vests. You can also rent a boat and have it delivered to our deep-water dock or bring your own and launch from the nearby public boat launch. Local marinas and dock-and-dine restaurants are just around the corner, though still out of sight.
Spend your evenings around the smokeless firepit or unwind in our 6-person hot tub with multiple jet settings and LED mood lights. Our covered deck and patio areas offer mulitiple spots to enjoy the outdoors regardless of the weather, and you can cast your favorite music to the outdoor Bluetooth speakers.

COMMON HOUSE AREAS:
Inside, the large ground-floor family room is designed to entertain everyone. Play air hockey, foosball, or travel back to the 1980's with our vintage arcade featuring 32 popular games. The 75” TV is perfect for big games or family movies with in-ceiling Bluetooth speakers available for your enjoyment.
Upstairs, almost every room has incredible views of the lake. The open-concept living room connects to the kitchen and the covered deck spaces, offering a second 75” TV for your viewing pleasure.

TELEVISIONS:
All seven TVs are Roku Smart TVs set up in guest mode. You can log into your own accounts and enjoy your favorite shows while ensuring that your accounts are automatically erased upon checkout. All Roku TVs support Apple AirPlay and the two 75" TVs (Living Room and Basement) also support Chromecast.
KITCHEN/HOUSE BASICS PROVIDED:
Our fully stocked kitchen and gas grill make meal preparation simple. We provide all household basics, including spices, olive oil, coffee filters, K-cups, tea, sugar, creamer, paper towels, napkins, baggies, saran wrap, aluminum foil, dish soap, dishwasher tabs, hand soap, grill propane, toilet paper, laundry detergent, and garbage bags.
Small appliances include a Keurig (with iced and hot coffee options), a 12 cup coffee maker, coffee grinder, slow cooker, Instapot, rice maker, waffle iron, hand mixer, toaster, blender, ice cream maker and mini food processor. We also have a selection of cookware, bakeware, kitchen utensils, Tupperware, and serving dishes.

Our home features five bedrooms:
Main Floor: King, Queen, Queen
Second Floor: King, 4 Twins (bunk beds)
Each bedroom is furnished with comfortable mattresses, high quality linens, a variety of pillows, blackout curtains, mirrors, adjustable speed ceiling fans, and Roku Smart TVs with inductive cell phone chargers.
The Primary bedroom includes a king-sized bed, an ensuite with a walk-in shower, and a free-standing soaking tub. The two other main-floor queen bedrooms share a common bathroom, while the ground-level king-size bedroom has a bathroom immediately outside the door.
SHOWERS:
All showers have spa-like dual shower heads with rainfall and massage settings. We provide luxury shampoo, conditioner, and body wash made with premium ingredients and purified water. Plush towels, hairdryers, and kid-friendly step stools are also available.
KID SUITE:

The separate kid suite features four bunk beds and a TV room designed for video gaming. You bring your favorite gaming console, and we'll provide the 55" TV and a cool atmosphere with adjustable LED lighting. There's even a beanbag chair that converts to a full-size mattress for additional sleeping space.
INFANT/TODDLERS:
We have provided a highchair, a pac and play, sheets, and plastic cups, plates, bowls and toddler utensils for your convenience.
OFFICE:
Need to work? Our comfortable office is complete with monitor, mouse, keyboard and laptop stand. Close the French doors for privacy and get your work done efficiently.

We were there for a teambuilding work trip and we had a wonderful time! The home and location are perfect. There's lots to do locally if you wish to venture out but there are also many activities inside and outside if you wish to stay at the house. Swimming right off the dock was so much fun and then we also had the hot tub at night when it cooled off. We did enjoy eating on the covered deck with the views of the lake and taking the kayaks out every morning. The house was very clean and well stocked. We didn't have any problems during our stay but when we did have questions Andrea was great and answered right away. Would definitely go back!! Thank you, Andrea!!

Beautiful home in shady setting on secluded cove. Amenities galore. Great kids' game rooms, firepit, hot tub, & comfortable spaces everywhere, even an office. The kitchen had so many things stocked for creating all our meals. For a birthday treat night, we took a 7 minute boat ride to Toucans, a nice lakefront restaurant. There's a nice, wooded walking trail right across the street. For 12 of us, there was plenty of space, for whole family gatherings (watching Olympics on big screen TV at night) or many small peaceful nooks, inside and out. The fishing at the dock was as good as anywhere on the lake, evidenced by frequent fishing boats testing the waters, and a big catfish and many smaller fish easily caught by our 6 grandchildren. The 4 kayaks and 2 paddleboards offered loads of fun on the water. There's a very ingenious dock ladder for easy in and out swimming access. Thank you Andrea, for providing us this wonderful Edgewater Escape. We hope to return!

The home was perfect for our family. We came to visit for the week with my kids and their cousins, as well as my mom. My husband and I had to work the beginning of the week and there was a wonderful office with mouse, monitor, etc. The covered deck was perfect for taking conference calls as well while watching the kids swim. The cove was wide enough to allow all sorts of fun in the water, but protected enough to be away from major boat traffic. The beds were super comfy and the basement was perfect, the kids took over and then the adults had the upstairs. Andrea was super responsive and very kind. Would highly recommend!

We had a great stay here! The property was just as listed and very clean. We had a large group and everyone fit comfortably. There was plenty of parking for our two vehicles as well as two trucks with boat trailers, boat ramp is very close to the house which was great! I mistakenly thought the property offered a high chair and when I asked the host, they informed me it did not but that they had purchased one and it would be delivered same day. They went above and beyond and it was much appreciated so now the property offers a pack-n-play and a high chair which is so nice when traveling with small kids to not have to haul those items. The host was great about checking in on us and responding to messages. We would definitely stay here again!!

If you are looking for a great getaway with family, this is the place for you. I wanted our family to be together under one roof to celebrate Christmas, when I saw Edgewater Escape I knew it was perfect! The house was very clean and fully stocked with everything you needed. I requested a Christmas tree for my grandchildren and Andrea made that happen! The game room and totally downstairs was a hit with the grandkids. We enjoyed some time by the fire pit and swing was so peaceful and relaxing. Upon check in there were pancakes and maple syrup left for us and came in handy Christmas morning , everyone enjoyed them. Andrea thank you for your prompt responses and letting us enjoy your beautiful lake home. Will definitely be planning a summer getaway!

We have rented many houses through the years, and this was the best apportioned of any of them. House is beautiful and spotlessly clean, with entertainment for all and the owner had made it as easy as possible to navigate and enjoy. Couldn't have been better!

Our stay at Edgewater Escapes was absolutely amazing. The property is stunning, both inside and out, and Andrea has made sure it’s been outfitted with every comfort and amenity. I stayed with my parents, brother and his family and our own baby, so we had all age groups and we all had a fantastic time. From swimming off the dock to using the kayaks and paddle boards, and making s’mores with the fire pit, it was amazing. We rented a tritoon boat for a couple days which is also highly recommended. Andrea is incredibly responsive and helpful as well. Would highly recommend!

We enjoyed our stay at the house very much. We were there for a month and it had everything we needed for me to work from home and fish while we stayed there. I was able bring my boat down and I had it docked behind the house during our stay. The fishing was great and the lake wasn't too crowded since it was before the busy season. The lake views in the backyard are great and the property is very peaceful. The bedrooms all had televisions and were very comfortable and the kitchen had all of the amenities we needed. The host Andrea was very helpful and offered excellent advice on area attractions. The house was able to accommodate a lot more people than our small party and the entire downstairs area full of games would be great for kids. I would definitely stay at this house again.

We had some seriously bad luck, with it raining almost the entire time we were there. However, the house was absolutely perfect for us. By far the most well stocked, cleanest, user friendly VRBO place we have ever stayed in. No detail is overlooked, from the very well stocked kitchen to the portable chargers conveniently plugged in on the bedside nightstands waiting for your phone. The video game consoles, the board games, and the spacious bedrooms all made our stay enjoyable, even though we couldn’t enjoy the lake.

We rented this house for a few days for business meetings and wished we could have spent more time to enjoy it while not working. The house was great, the view phenomenal, and it was exactly as described. Andrea is the host and was great to communicate with before, during, and after our stay. Highly recommend!

Our group was all adults. Stayed early October. Everything was as described. The only thing wrong was that we could not stay longer!! (Vacation had to end.) One of the cleanest rentals we have ever been in. House we well appointed. GREAT area downstairs to gather and play games. Lake location was perfect for our group. Host was very responsive and provided a lot of information about the local area prior to our trip so it made for easy planning. Would recommend and stay again.

Get ready to visit a dear friend or relative- that's what you will get when staying here. Top of the line everything including kitchen items and supplies. This was probably one of the cleanest )who folds those towels) and best maintained house we have ever stayed in. Ideal for a big family or group of friends- the neighborhood is beautiful and the lake view is to die for. Close to everything, yet far enough away to get away from it all.
Andrea was a pleasure to work with- her instructions and helpful information really added to our stay. We would love to see them add a fire pit (we had the first crisp fall nights) but trust me when I say its PERFECT!

Beautiful Lake House Escape!
We booked Andrea’s home for a friends trip - people flew in from across the country for a long weekend away on Lake Norman. It took less than 45 minutes from the airport. Some people took an Uber but we had two rental cars as well. We ended up placing several grocery delivery orders for ease but there are plenty of options within ten minutes of the house.
The house did disappoint, it was beyond well equipped with plenty of towels and nice bedding. That said, the real winner is the amazing outdoor space. We rented a pontoon for the weekend but ended up spending most of our time in the cover off the dock swimming, paddle boarding, and just having a great time!
The neighborhood itself is gorgeous, lots of beautiful lake front homes. We went on several walks and runs (no sidewalks so be aware of sounds!).
All in all, an excellent weekend away with friends.

Absolutely Awesome! Perfect Choice!
This property was the perfect choice for our week of family fun celebrating a special birthday! The house is pristine and located on a peaceful cove with a wonderful view. I was so impressed with how well the house is appointed - the kitchen is completely equipped - quality utensils, coffee options, paper towels, dish and hand soap, trash bags, etc. Everyone enjoyed swimming off the dock and using the kayaks, SUPs, and life vests provided. My husband fished off the dock and caught catfish, bass and bluegill. The game room was a hit with all that was provided - and the kids loved their own gaming space! We loved our dinners on the deck every evening overlooking the lake. Our host was in communication with us - checking to see if we were settled in, offering restaurant and boat rental suggestions, and answering any questions we had. All of this added ups to a fabulous, fun filled week! It deserves 10 stars!! Thank you for sharing your beautiful home!

Fabulously Equipped! Peaceful Retreat!
Our holiday in this newly updated vacation home was stellar! The property was immaculately clean including the house, porches, outdoor furniture, kayaks, outdoor swing, hot tub, and dock! And, every area was completely equipped! The kitchen included a wide range of appliances, pots/pans, seasonings and utensils. The kitchen gear was fresh and useable! Many vacation rentals tout equipped kitchens, but this kitchen was truly equipped with gear that was not scratched, dirty, rusted and in ruins. Plenty of kitchen towels provided, paper towels, dish soap, coffee options galore, and also a special welcome treat from our hosts. The game room was stuffed with board games, the foosball and air hockey tables, cornhole, and a huge TV for the big games/races. And, the dock was equipped with life vests and kickboards. We enjoyed the kayaks and the SUPs in the quiet cove. Many locations on Lake Norman are to be avoided because of the crowds of boats on the water right behind the house. This is a quiet cove that affords peaceful swimming off of the dock and gentle waters for kayaks and SUPs. The outdoor swing and many outdoor seating areas on the patio and balcony were respites for rest, and the outdoor table and grill made the perfect setup for family meals overlooking the lake. Our host was very communicative and helped us with dinner recommendations for our first night and grocery store recommendations for our food purchases! Beautiful spotless property in a peaceful cove with the perfect view as we relaxed on the deck. The hot tub was awesome and unwound all our travel stress. The house is so comfortable - slept great. Kitchen was fully equipped to cook for family. We’ll have to stay longer next time and enjoy the games and kayaks on the lake. Owner was so prompt and helpful to respond to any questions. Thanks for a great stay!!

We travel and book with VRBO all the time and it never disappoints but this one has been my Favorite thus far and mainly bc the owners personally reached out to make sure we were checked in and had everything we needed they also went above and beyond to let us have a late check out bc our arrival was very late due to bad weather. The house came very neat and stocked with soap and trash bags along with toiletries. The beds slept amazing and the whole experience was over the top spectacular. We will definitely be planning a trip to the same property very soon.
