I appreciated the rapidity with which the staff responded to my issues. For example, on two occasions I had no hot water, but they resolved it within 5 minutes. I appreciated the peace of mind that came with having a 24-hour reception desk.

The staff was very friendly, the bedding was comfortable and clean. The building could have used a little sprucing up but overall it was very good.

Everything was excellent from start to finish. I arrived very late as I was travelling from London that evening, I had phoned to say I would be arriving late, but my train was slightly late as well. No problem, I had a friendly welcome and got to my room quickly. The room was clean and comfortable with everything I needed. The only concern I had was no hot water on my first morning, however this was just a case of needing to let the water run, then it was perfect. It is a great location, you can walk wherever you want to go In Glasgow, which is perfect for me. All members of the team were friendly and helpful with any questions and requests that I had. So overall I was very happy. I will definitely stay there again when I am in Glasgow and I recommend anyone else to do the same.

The property was good no problems no tea or coffee in room but kettle and cup bed was clean and comfy would definitely stay again, bathroom had a funny smell and definitely needs up dated broken tiles on the floor not foot for bare feet in the dark but over all good night stay

The check in was very easy and fast. Staff at reception were great and answered all the questions to help me navigate my city sightseeing plans. Thanks, Anuj

I think they did their best to keep the property as clean as much. Because the property itself is quite old, running since the Victorian era.

the hotel was difficult to find , it resembled a youth hostel , the photos on the web site resembled nothing like it in real life , i saw mice , avoid ay all costs

The stay was great just a few plumbing issues and the toilet made a racket when flushing and the tv didn’t work 😂 but overall it was great

It was a wonderful stay, centrally located in the city with plenty to do and plenty to see in the direct area. I took the liberty to walk to and from locations while I stayed here and highly enjoyed the city and the location of this stay. Towards the end of my trip, I felt as though I really knew the city! The staff is kind and the quality of my room was immaculate. Highly recommend!

The only complaint i have is that the TV was not working,I must say the breakfast was amazing, probably the best I've ever had in a hotel.

Would have been a higher rating if not for the misinformation about parking. Website stated it was £6 per day but when arriving receptionist had to tell us it recently changed and the parking was drastically more expensive. Spending £52 between Friday and Sunday compared to the £18 we were expecting to spend is a big difference, we might not have even bothered to drive if the correct information was actually on the website

Dreadful value for money. The place needs to be properly refurbished. They cut corners everywhere - rooms don’t come with shampoo or shower gel, and i had a freezing shower first thing in the morning. My bedroom window had a huge crack in it and the bathroom decor is circa 1980. At a surge pricing rate of £180 per night (clearly a busy weekend in Glasgow) I was appalled.

Mattress was not very comfortable, and they did not offer shampoo as a standard offering

Really enjoyed our stay here on the 17/07/22 stayed with my daughter as we were attending a concert ! On arrival the reception staff were lovely and when we got too room which was on the first floor we’re greeted with a very spacious clean room . We’re able too come and go as you wanted just left key with 24 hour reception ! I had seen some not so great reviews on here but we were so pleased with everything and the beds were so comfy and had a great sleep after dancing the night away ! Would defo recommend and would defo stay again !! Location was also every good also ten min walk too the bus station !

Wasn't a great place to stay. Guy at reception has no customer service skills, photocopied my ID, then insisted we leave the key at reception of we went out. Sound like a prison much?
Hotel was very grubby, it's barely a B&B to be honest. It is at the cheaper end of the scale but basic cleanliness should matter.

Great location and friendly staff. Unfortunately we had lots of small problems with our room - the window was broken and wouldn’t close, the beds were against each wall but kept moving away from the wall and you’d end up falling through, there was only plug sockets next to one bed, the shower head is really low down and as someone 6ft1 I wacked my head off the shower head constantly and had to bend down to wet my head, they don’t let you keep your keys when your leaving the property so you have to hand your key in and go collect it when you come back, breakfast was really nice but on Saturday and Sundays it’s at 8am not 7:30am and unfortunately We had a tour bus leaving at 8 so we had to miss breakfast the first day despite paying for it and the website saying breakfast started at 7:30am and they said they couldn’t refund us for the cost of the breakfast. Overall it suited us ok but we wouldn’t come back

I was right at the top floor, but I liked that the room had 2 big roof-windows which I could also open for fresh air.
Handy for groceries and takeouts just down the street.
Wish I had got tried the breakfast but didn't make it on time.

Pleasant stay, comfortable room. Not for anyone who can’t walk countless flights of stairs should your room be at the top of the hotel … but no complaints

It’s a lovely hotel if your in the rooms downstairs can be quite cold as got door to a wee back area in the bedroom and hear the washing machines on nonstop and quite few step up to the front door of the hotel but had a lovely stay overall

Linen and surfaces most used were very clean. Staff on reception were friendly and welcoming. Good central location near shops, pubs and restaurants.
In my room the skirting and some other areas were pretty dusty. The room felt neglected and the general condition was shabby: peeling paint, ill-fitting electrical sockets installed at weird angles, stretched electric cords, evidence of previous fittings was not covered up etc. Toilet didn't flush well. Sealant in bathroom was peeling away.
There was hand soap in a dispenser near the sink but nothing for the shower.
Showering was problematic. The pressure was very good but the shower head was not detachable or height adjustable. shower cubicle was very cramped so getting rinsed off involved various physical contortions and a flooded bathroom floor
At night, could hear other guests through the wall, footsteps above my head and kitchen machinery. At one point a member of staff stood outside my door for an extended conversation with another guest (after 11pm) which showed a lack of awareness.
The curtains didn't block the constantly changing coloured light outside my window (violet and green were the worst shades). Window was draughty. Needless to say I didn't sleep too well.
The staff on reception were very friendly but not always there for me to follow the procedure of leaving and collecting the room key. Had to wait around quite a bit.
I didn't have breakfast.

Found this lovely little hotel at the last minute. I wasn't expecting much for the price of £39 but i was surprised at how clean & comfortable it was. The bed was slightly to hard for my liking but perfect for my partner. Had a good nighy sleep. Staff are very helpful & friendly especially Muhammed, he recommended good place to eat & it was spot on. Will definitely stay here again.

Comfy beds. Strangely makes you leave keys at desk when you leave. No shampoo or soap provided.

It was a very comfortable bed, but unfortunately did not get a great sleep due to all the noises going on in the hotel. Normally we would have the tv on to avoid this (we find having it on @ a low volume helps us to fall asleep!!!)
But the tv in our room did NOT work!!!!!! We told reception it was not working but there was nothing able to be done at that time and we had to leave to attend our event! Not everyone goes out on hotel stays so a tv is an essential necessary part of the hotel experience for certain people!!!!
This is the only disappointment in our stay!!!!!!! On the whole it was a pleasant place to stay. We must add that prices are getting way to High (expensive) everywhere tho which is also going to have an impact on our future hotel stay's...No breakfast included either is NOT good (being expected to pay £8 each for breakfast is ridiculous!!!)

At £83 for one night, in a single room, even though breakfast was included, the food was poor, been staying here for over 20 years, this was my worst experience, and my last visit
