As we are driving, the Pousada was challenging to find. Once found, the front desk staff were amazing. Sorry to say, but the dinner meal was very overcooked & I couldn’t eat it.

It’s a lovely hotel but certainly not luxurious. Had to pay for parking which we hadn’t taken on board in the description. Breakfast very good but not as good as the pousada in Beja. Location was definitely 5 star. Our bed very comfortable but walls and carpet need refurbished. Our fridge didn’t work. Unfortunately only discovered at the end of the day when we wanted a COLD drink.
The final disappointment was discovering our rental car was damaged after valet parking by hotel staff. And this after paying for the privilege of parking there.
Most of the service we received was very good. Just a shame about the mishaps.

We loved our stay here. The staff was wonderful and the breakfast options were by far the best of of our three weeks in Europe.

Liked most things about the property. A bit more attention to detail would be good. The safe in the room was not operational and was not fixed although we mentioned it. The toilet paper holder is broken. A easy fix but the paper is just left on top of the water tank. Small things a manager would need to know and should get corrected in order to keep the status of the pousada name.

The Hotel went beyond our expectations to make sure we enjoyed our time in Évora. Unbeknownst to us the location of our hotel was 20 steps from the Roman temple and the palace and a block from the cathedral. Very well situated

The hotel is in a perfect location in Evora.

Loved the architecture and decor at Pousada Convento de Evora. The dining experience at the hotel was outstanding as were the buffet breakfasts. The AC however, in our room. Was leaking without our noticing above the wardrobe and our clothes got wet, we notified the hotel. The hotel apologized but did not offer anything to make up for the trouble it took to dry our clothes with a hair dryer.

It was an old convent -nicely remodeled however the rug in our room was so dirty

Great location, fascinating history, excellent food. But the bed was hard as a rock, and we were exhausted from lack of sleep.

We enjoyed staying in a historical property. The grounds were beautiful, and the pousada was perfectly situated to Evora's attractions, museums, shopping, and very high quality restaurants. The staff were friendly, and helpful, and we enjoyed the breakfast. The carpet in our room was little worn, but we thoroughly enjoyed our stay, and would recommend to other travelers.

Beautiful hotel sensitively converted but rooms were somewhat spartan compared to others in the hotel group.
There is air conditioning and a tv in the room, and I appreciate it is a monks cell. Initially there was no hot water ( I thought it was to enhance the monastic experience) until I realised it was turned off under the sink because the tap dripped. The sink plug mechanism was broken and the whole bathroom needed a refurb.
That said the hotel is situated right next to the Roman temple the downstairs is lovely and the staff are fantastic.
I would definitely stay again

No parking facilities and rooms were small

What a beautiful and peaceful place to stay. Excellent in house restaurant and Roman ruins right out the front door. The staff were beyond gracious. Would absolutely stay here again.

The staff was five star, but the room was dirty, the carpets where dirty and the shower tub was very difficult to get in and out of.

The staff was exceptionally attentive and staying on a convent cell in this beautiful setting was really very moving. And surprisingly comfortable

Great place and location. A different experience.

When you go to Portugal you have to stay at a Pousada. Just for the experience and the history. But….Evora Pousada rooms are tired and not that comfortable. Carpets in the room were dated, not clean. You are here for the experience not the comfort and ease of Accomodation. One night should suffice. It’’s a shame because location and vibe outside the room is great. But premium room prices should provide a better degree of comfort.

This is a gem, a high class hotel inside what it used to be a monastery

Loved being in such a historic building with wonderful staff. However finding parking was a nightmare. Actually got scooped by another driver when we were backing into a spot we found. Needs huge improvement in this area

Very well done.

The standout at this hotel was the service. Everyone was very attentive, kind, and professional. Easy to get information and help for anything.
It is a beautiful historic property, had all of the amenities, and we wish we were staying longer.
Highly recommend.

Elegantly adapted former convent. Superior double had twin beds pushed together. All in good condition. Parking was hard to navigate, a printed map would be useful

Very friendly staff and good location

Beautifully located and interesting architecture but the facilities are not up to 5- star standards. Stained carpets, worn out furniture, filthy shower curtains, ordinary food, all of this at very high prices. The view on the forum is not worth it.

The staff is exceptional, very friendly. Telma was especially competent and nice. We loved the location. The rooms, while small (understandable) were nicely furnished. The beds, however, were not the most comfortable. However, that was just a small issue. Overall, we recommend this hotel due to location and staff.

Lovely property in a fabulous location. Dinner and breakfast were both very good. We were celebrating our anniversary and there was a bottle of champagne and some snacks in our room when we arrived. Very nice!

Superb location, great staff, an excellent breakfast, nice pool and deck chairs.
Didn’t like twin beds, and no fridge in room.

Great to stay in a historic building and the staff were very accommodating. The shower curtain in our room an carpet needed washing, but overall nice stay.

Great place located in the middle of the historic area/old town. Very friendly and helpful reception. Few free parking slots available as part of the hotell service (we where however lucky to get one), but much more available in the area (free during evening/night, fee based for day hours).
