This is the third time we have stayed here and as ever was an enjoyable stay with very friendly staff. Perfectly placed halfway between the town and the beach overlooking a river meaning quieter at night although a cheap taxi ride or long walk to the old town. Several local restauraunts are nearby to eat in the evening if you want to avoid the busy old town.

They advertised 2 restaurants, a coffee shop, room service and a spa, and an airport shuttle.
I sent 3 emails confirming my flight arrival time but received no response and there was no shuttle waiting when I arrived. What should have been a 30 minute shuttle ride from airport to hotel turned into a 3 hour trip to the wrong hotel before finally getting to the correct hotel.
there were no restaurants on the property and no room service. When I asked about dinner I was directed to a restaurant 500 metres down a very busy road with no footpath.
If you want to use the spa facilities you need to give them at least one hour notice so they can call someone in as it’s not open all the time.
The rooms were clean and tidy but very old. I had a leak in my bathroom. They sent someone to dry the floor but not fix the leak. The lock on my room door jammed and someone had to come and let me in my room and then repair the lock.
Definitely not the 4 star hotel they advertised!

Staff was friendly and helpful. Nice pool. Spa was clean and worth a visit. Quaint and delicious food in restaurant next door. Breakfast buffet was good.

It was a great place to stay with my family, would definitely go back.

I stayed in the deluxe double room. Room was very spacious with a balcony. Bed was comfortable but the room was just bare and un-inviting. Definitely will make you want to be out as much as possible lol.
Bathroom was also roomy but infested with loads of little flies ( I think the lights attracted them but still had a few even when lights were off). As I was just staying 2nights, I didn’t bother to complaint and I cleaned with water every time I had to use the bath or wash basin.
Breakfast was a little disappointing. Options were very limited and not particularly great.
Reception area was quite small but had outdoor tables ( like a cafe style) so you can sit out on the street and enjoy the traffic.
I had a trip booked through the hotel cancelled at last minute and was only informed at midnight. This could have ruin my trip as it was one of the main tour on my bucket list but I was able to reorganise the same trip myself in the morning so in my opinion, they didn’t go that extra mile for their guests.
The staff were more interested in the trip advisor review than help with advise on what to do and see in 2 days in Hoi An.
If looking for luxury, then keep looking. If looking for a place to just spend the night after a tour, then this will do. It’s definitely not a 4 star but a clean comfortable 3 star hotel. There is room to improve the decor and inject a bit of life into the hotel to give it a bit of character.
Will I stay again? Definitely not.

The staff was very helpful and were willing to change room assignments so we could all be together and views of the river. The only negative was how hot the rooms would get when the key card was removed while leaving the room for a while. Food and service was excellent.

We had an absolutely amazing stay at Aurora, the staff were so welcoming and friendly, very helpful and attentive too. We received an overview of the hotel and services available upon arrival from Kayla, who was a fantastic host, before being shown to our room which was beautiful! The bed was so comfortable - the best sleep we’ve had in our 4 weeks in Vietnam! The free shuttle into town was a great touch, and the hotel’s on cooking class with river tour was incredible, we had such a wonderful day! Thankyou Aurora, we’ll be back!

We spent 4 nights at the Aurora Riverside and we couldnt be more happy on how we were treated by the hotel staff. The front desk personnel were friendly, knowledgeable, and spoke English well (which is not always the case in Viet Nam).We also appreciated the free regularly scheduled shuttle into town. Also the wifi signal was strong. Our bedroom was adequate but nothing special. A bit rustic. I like to read in bed at night and had difficulty. The only lighting came from low wattage ceiling lights. I would have liked to see lamps on our night stands. We spent a few extra dollars thinking that our river view room was actually on the river. In reality the river is across the road from the room. So basically we ended up spending more for a room that was on the road when for less money we could have been in a quieter part of the hotel. The service in the breakfast room was top notched though the breakfast itself was just OK. A good but not great hotel.

We love the location. Not too noisy and not too far from everything. The hotel is located right across from the river and 2 miles to the left is the beach and 2 miles to the right is City center. The hotel is very accommodating and offers shuttle service as well as bicycle and motorbike rentals. We were greeted by Kayla and she spoke English. She was very courteous and pleasant. She helped us with an early check-in and gave us a really nice suite that was newly remodeled. The room was spacious and very clean! The service was impeccable and Kayla was always at the front desk to greet us and provide us with local information. We would definitely return in the future if we visited Hoi An again. Such a beautiful and romantic city.

We spent 9 nights here. The welcome was spontaneous with smiles, warmth and humour from a good English speaking , pretty young lady -May - from reception - who we befriended throughout the stay.: huge thankyou May . Due to the fact it was a family reunion with our son- daughter and son-in - law - they gave us a complimentary upgrade. Special mention too to Amelia- manager of housekeeping- for being so hospitable and thoughtful! The manager Ryan was obliging too- helping us with a medical situation. Language barrier?..........none whatsoever!! The chef- Jessica soon came to understand how we enjoyed our pancakes and eggs- thankyou Jessica. Helen, our waitress- also spoke good English and obliged not only our needs but also our wants! Thankyou Helen! Superb service from all staff- nothing too much trouble. Beds are super comfy- and extra wide. We enjoyed the hotels menu on several occasions too - with local and western culinary delights to please all tastes! Would definitely recommend this hotel and we hope to return in the future . Great situation- between beach and hoi an town- where the lanterns decorate and illuminate the river and streets in the evening- very pretty!

We stayed at the Aurora Riverside Hotel for 16 nights over July/August.From start to finish the hotel staff were very friendly and helpful and nothing was too much trouble for them and always with a smile. Thank you to Kayla, Sally, Ken, Greenie, Ethan the minibus driver and all the other staff for making this a wonderful stay. The hotel is located between the beach and the old town giving you the best of both worlds and transport in the form of free bicycles and a free minibus to the old town is provided. The rooms are very spacious and ours had a balcony with a great view overlooking the rice fields. We would definitely stay here again if in the area.

We had an amazing time here. The rooms, pool and breakfast were wonderful. Would fully recommend. Were only left wishing that there were more pool loungers, nonetheless the perfect place!!!

Booked a room for 3 people. to discover that only included 1 double bed and a 2nd bed would cost us a further charge - never had this in any hotel before (UK or abroad).Cleaning of room was pretty poor, we had to raise this with reception. Also every day not enough towels were left for us in our room and we had to call reception or take one from the poolside. Staff were always quick in responding but was a real pain to chase this every day.Breakfast was OK though very much the same day after day.Nice, though medium sized swimming pool was lovely. Despite other reviews was in the sun most of the day.OK location being opposite the river with great views over the paddy fields. Could take a free bike from the hotel to cycle to the beach or the old town. Alternatively a reasonably frequent free shuttle bus takes you to/from the town.

Our experience was amazing from the beginning thanks to Lài (Kayla). She and the rest of the staff introduced us the city very well and help us kindly at any moment, the hotel is very close to beach but a bit far from the centre but the bus service and the bikes are perfect, the room was super cozy and elegant, the breakfast stunning, definitely would come back, they made our highlight of our trip. Our family with two young children really enjoyed our stay in this hotel. Staff was very attentive and kind. We had a very big room (suite 601) with two showers. Unfortunately TV in kids room wasnt working, but that wasnt the reason we came for to Hoi An. The folder with hotel internal numbers would be helpful too. The more important things that made our stay pleasant was the hotels pool, courtesy shuttle bus to/from old town, lovely meal at the restaurant. We used hotels bikes to go to the beach and explore lovely surroundings.

This was our second time staying at this Hotel, (we were here in April 2016) and we would definitely stay here again. Everything is easy and comfortable here, whether sitting by the pool, relaxing in the room, borrowing a bike or taking the free shuttle, there is no fuss and the staff are always helpful and friendly. They also arranged our airport transfer.

The location was pretty good; its right along the river, and nearly halfway between Hoi An old town and the good beaches closer to Da Nang. The Aurora runs a free shuttle to/from Hoi An a couple times a day, and lets hotel residents use on-site bicycles for free! The employees bent over backwards to ensure we had a good stay.

Hotel was very good staff very helpful but the room had no comfortable chairs to sit in and the lighting at night was to dark to read.

I stayed in the villas with my family and they were quite nice. Huge bed and pretty spacious bathrooms -- nice and modern. The layout of the villas is great, private and good access to the beautiful outdoor pool area and breakfast. Location is okay but we couldnt walk anywhere, had to take bikes or car to leave the hotel. Tried to use the gym but it was extremely hot with no air conditioning and the treadmill almost flung me onto the wall as it kept jerking, stopping and starting. Other than that, the pool is great and its a pretty hotel. Breakfast is average, dont expect much.

Great hotel, from the moment we arrived until we left, the staff were extremely helpful! We got to use the hotel bikes for free to explore the area. There is also a shuttle that takes guest to and from downtown every few hours. The pool was great and really well kept. It was nice to have a place to swim out of the hot sun in the middle of the day. The rooms seemed to have been recently upgraded and the hotel beds were extremely comfortable. The breakfast buffet was great with lots of choices: local fruit, pastries, omelet station, salads, vietnamese noodles and rice, bacon, cheese... We highly recommend Aurora hotel.

We could not fault anything here. The staff were always friendly and helpful, the free bicycles and shuttle bus made it easy to get around and the fabulous pool was a welcome relief after a day of activity. Breakfast buffet was sensational with plenty of variety. The room was spacious and well apointed with lovely views from our balcony. The Hotel is in a good location between the beach and the old town and easy riding distance to both. We will stay here again when we are next in Hoi An and would happily recommend this Hotel to our friends.
