A wonderful second visit and the hotel remains as lovely as before. Pristine gardens and rooms, great breakfast options and the spa is still a favourite. Favourite day trips were Cádiz, Jerez de la Frontera and Conil de la Frontera.

Would definitely go back again. Perfect for family with kids. The hotel also provided a comfortable crib for my child. I’ll have to book a longer stay next time. Beach access and walking around all amazing

Have been going to this hotel for the last ten years. This hotel never fails, great service, friendly staff, beautiful gardens, and next to one of the best beaches in Andalucia. Highly recommended.

Great hotel and beauty location. Food was ok but not great. Service was nit great. In the reception the information was not complete or accurate. We waited to long to be attended for lunch at the hotel. Rooms are very clean and confortable.

Beautiful hotel - different from others in area. It is quite expensive for what it is, so expected bit more. There was Hideaway Sessions happening while there - excellent Jazz & Flamenco musicians - which we attended, which was a nice bonus for staying. The room was high-quality but we would have preferred a Queen over 2 Singles. There are a few pools - but the beach & ocean is better.

Have stayed at this hotel on numerous occasions. This hotel never fails In delivering to its clients. Food was fabulous.

Beautiful, well kept property with easy access to the beach. The breakfast and dinner food options were plentiful. It was an easy walk - about 30 minutes - to grocery stores and city center for shopping. Beach and sunsets are beautiful and it was very easy to find pool loungers etc. in October. We used the fitness center and it is bright, clean and lots of great equipment. Excellent options for golf nearby. Hotel property, amenities and food are 5 star.
Only a couple of criticisms - a makeup items went missing from the countertop in my room and I advised the hotel staff, but they didn't seem to care or follow up on it and with dinner, it'd be nice if water was included, because you have to pay for all drinks. Overall, reception and management was okay, but not the level of service I expect from a 5 star.

I have been to numerous five star locations this year only to be disappointed until I came to The Royal Hideaway. Everything was just easy comfortable. The staff where friendly and helpful. The facility was clean and well maintained. The rooms where comfortable. The only thing I would complain of was that I didn’t speak enough Spanish. But google translate helped with that. I can’t actually wait to return next year. The beach was stunning and endless and the weather perfect. I couldn’t of asked for more.

The Hotel and the Grounds are fantastic. Our room had every comfort and amenity. We were very happy with the location as it was not in direct sunlight. The were lots of children in the hotel and on occasions they used our corridor as a race track after 11pm Food wise the breakfasts were amazing everything was on offer and it was well organized. In the evening we twice used the buffet. The first night was an Italian Theme and good, the second time it was an Andalusian Theme and the meal and service was a best indifferent. We tried out the other 3 restaurants which were always empty which was a shame as the food and service was great and the staff very friendly and helpfulThe only downside was the Spa which was very disappointing . The management and staff were short on experience and training. Altogether a great Hotel and I expect we will visit again

As a family of 5 with 3 teenagers, this was a very relaxing stay. Highlights included the huge spa, the bowling alley, the wide range on offer for breakfast and the beach. The resort was quiet but for early April, that was to be expected. The pools were very cold so no-one was swimming but the indoor pool was quiet, warm and relaxing. Rooms were very clean and there are huge spacious areas to relax in. Be aware that the area is very quiet with only a few restauarants nearby so you will definitely need a car to explore the area. Cadiz and Seville well worth a visit. The only mild complaint was the check-in which was slow, disorganised and not hugely welcoming. We usually receive a map with an explanation of the facilities, timings of breakfasts, info on the area, etc but this did not happen. Apart from that, a great hotel!

Excellent hotel in beautiful resort environment, excellent view, perfect for outings and beach access. Close to the city of Vejer, Tarifa and Baelo Claudia. Makes the decision hard to leave for outings or staying to enjoy all great facilities of the resort. Generous in every aspect.

Nice Hotel, close to lovely beach.
Food was average and most food was cold, served on cold plates. La Brasserie was good food and pleasant, friendly staff. Ammenities seemed to be limited, maybe because it is early in the Season?
Most annoying is paying £150/ night and then have to pay €12/ night parking !!!

First the not so good (at least for some): Its a very quiet hotel, especially in the evenings. I do like evening entertainment (shows). There is a disco, which my wife and I didnt go to - it opens at midnight. As were not young, we didnt stay up for that, and photos we saw of this showed just 2 people sitting around. Unusually, it has a 4 lane bowling alley in the Dublin Pub (part of the complex) + a pool table, but we were usually the only guests there. Now the good: The rooms are very spacious and the bathrooms huge - double sink, huge shower, huge bath, toilet + bidet. Constant cleaning seems to go on, and everywhere smells very fresh. Its really spotless. Theres an extensive buffet for breakfast and dinner. The gardens are enormous, covering many acres with palm trees and ponds. Theres several large swimming pools each at a lower level, running down through the gardens in what is in effect a hillside. The small Sunset Bar (well named) is at the lowest point of the gardens and directly overlooks the Atlantic Ocean, about a 10 minute walk away. Cocktails are super. The beach is the longest Ive ever seen, easily 15/20 miles long, very wide very flat, with very soft sand. The Atlantic just rolls in. The Spanish visit at weekends. Its pretty well unspoilt, with a few small café/bars every mile or so. It would probably be classed as one of the best beaches anywhere. Its not for those with walking problems though, as its over a 100 steps down to the beach.

The hotel itself has been very nicely designed with classy fittings, very modern and contemporary with impressive lofty, light and open communal areas, large rooms and balcony, beautiful gardens, plenty of swimming pools, everything perfectly maintained, excellent food, but all this would be nothing without the very friendly, helpful and attentive service of all the staff, it all seemed very genuine which is very nice, the only thing extra we would have liked is free beach seating included and some water sports included such as kayaking, sailing or wind surfing but maybe that’s just us.

I loved this hotel ! I stayed here for a wedding in Cadiz. It is a little out of the way from a major city / train . It cost us 54-60.00 € to get to the train station in Cadiz (thats the 1 way cost) and it was a 4 hour train ride to Madrid. So if you stay here make sure you are not planning to explore Spain. Other than it being outside of the major cities the hotel has a lot to offer and the staff are amazing ! The breakfast was so yummy !

Very enjoyable stay at the best hotel at Novo Sancti Petri. If you stay at the resort here though you will need to tent a car with the delights of Cadiz, Conil, Vejer and Cape Trafalgar all within 30 mins drive :)

This is a very comfortable and luxurious hotel close to a very nice beach. It has some excellent restaurants, some superb pools and a spa. The hotel is clean and attractively laid out. You will need a car if you want to go anywhere as it is located nowhere near any major towns. My one criticism is that there is no pool side attendance - I would expect a 5* hotel of this quality and price to have the ability to order drinks etc whilst at a pool rather than having to go to one of the hotel's restaurants or bars. The staff are polite and attentive. It is disappointing that they charge to park in the hotel car park, although there is pretty adequate off site free parking not to far away.
1.5
My only major adverse comment concerns the food. Having experience of 5 star hotels, the buffet catering here is not 5 star. The breakfasts were far from spectacular and the buffet dinner and room service left a lot to be desired.
