We stayed here as it was close to the wedding venue we were attending and didn’t seem too expensive. Easy to find and park park at. Check in was easy and the room was spacious and I was grateful for the kettle and teabags/milk and use of hairdryer and ironing board. The downside was the bars downstairs. We were at the front of the building right above the hotel bar and both Friday and Saturday night I struggled to sleep til the partygoers left at midnight. I had the windows shut and the blinds and curtains closed to try drown out the sound but to no avail. I am a light sleeper though. My partner sleeps through anything so he was fine. That was until some guests returned back at 1am Saturday night screaming like idiots at each other. They woke us both up and should learn some respect. The area was great in the day time though. Local amenities, a lovely park and an easy walk or tube to the town centre.

it was quite noisy until 1130pm, when the pub cleared. I had no idea when I booked this was above a noisy student pub. Hotel and check in great otherwise

Honest realistic review.
2 adults, 1 child, 1 large dog
Loved the fact that the hotel was dog friendly. Other dogs were their too and it was fine, you didn't hear them.
The rooms were quite spacious, en suite was small and very little power in the shower. The room did what we needed it to. It was clean and looked recently decorated.
Our room was above the bar (room 4) and was on the main road. We didn't really hear any noise and the bar didn't bother us, they were even kind enough to lend us some wine glasses. The tv had basic freeview and a hairdryer was also in the room.
The parking. Pretty poor and the guy on reception was just plain awkward with telling people where to park. As we pulled up, he tried to open our door to ask us to park in a different space. Then once parked up he asked us to move again. The spaces are extremely tight and despite us saying we had a child to get out of a car seat he still insisted we get closer to another car. Also very obvious they prefer certain cars in certain spaces. And after speaking to other guests we found that they were treated too.
He would repeatedly speak over us and not listen, even telling me that the caledonian has less spaces (who cares, i wasn't staying there!). This happened each time we came to park up, even asking us to move just one or two inches closer to a van (saying that he knows that the contractors that stay in there that have transit vans might clip the parked cars).
Overall, good hotel, parking is poor.

Enjoyed a clean, spacious, comfortable room, rear facing so away from any traffic noise. Large, fully-opening window a bonus in hot weather. Located close to the town centre so plenty shops, bars and restaurants plus 2 Metro stations within an easy, level walk.

Good sized room, free parking but as with all hotels on Osbourne Road a tad noisy with the windows open. But the noise does eventually stop also the air con unit outside the window was noisy. Service was lovely really welcoming. Price was very reasonable and the location is great

The hotel staff were amazing nothing to much
trouble for them .Rooms spacious and spotless.
Close to Metro system Ideal for coast and Central Newcastle

The welcome and breakfast were great. The room was not clean enough - peanuts in the bedside drawer and coffee stains on dressing table. The shower was not very powerful . Pull out bed not made. Not enough towels.

Room was large and plenty of room, apart from the bed - was ok if on 1 side or the other but was 2 single mattresses to make up a double bed and could be felt if I lay in the middle !! Spacious shower. Clean and tidy. Evening food I ordered was excellent, breakfast was different to the menu in the room but ok. Only down side was the stairs to take my dog out as it was the only choice for 1st thing in the morning as the door to the main hotel was locked and emergency stairs was the only exit. I have difficulty with stairs and there is no lift. Very helpful, friendly staff. Good car parking. An enjoyable stay.

Excellent hotel, great location beside all bars in Jesmond.

This hotel is located in the rich area of Jesmond, off the West Jesmond metro. It offered two double beds, open windows, nearness to Jesmond Dene for walking and zoo, and good restaurants. Only bad was hotel clerk who did not know procedure, difficulty getting in by ringing bell for staff, and some p.m. noise because is by an outdoor bar. Good breakfast--remember you get one hot part as well!

Double bed was on the small side, there was an iron burn on the carpet and the blind was broken so let light in in the morning also the door stuck which is dangerous in case of fire

Lovely welcome very nice big room at the front of the of the hotel but that not an issue. The menu was limited but very nice food and very friendly. The breakfast was a good size and really good.

Not very positive. The room was cold and depressing with a dim light and dark interior and nothing modern in the hotel. The breakfast area is very smelly from cooking hot food and there was no ventilation. I asked the lady that help with the breakfast to open the hotel front door to help drive the smell out.

There is very little to say about this hotel. It is very ordinary and pretty much what I expected. It would be nice if breakfast was available after 9am though as this is quite early for a leisure traveller.

Stayed here as a stopover overnight on our way to Scotland. Found the hotel thru expedia and this was one of the few hotels accepting a pet. They accepted our little dog without any problems but the rest of the experience was horrible. Despite the staff being polite and caring, the room itself was horrible. The breakfast was very bad and the coffee was appalling. Would not recommend this place to anyone unless you have no where else to stay at.

For what you paid £55 for b&b it was ok.Bedroom window would not open on one of the hottest days of year so room was horrendous but we were given a fan. Breakfast was ok except it would have been nice to have it freshly cooked bacon & sausages hard. It was rather off-putting having a derelict house next door with pigeons in top windows no glass when sitting outside
I certainly would not rate it as 4* more like 2*

Hotel was exactly what I expected for the money paid. Nothing special but was modern and clean. Staff were friendly and polite.
Breakfast could of been better, would rather wait 5 and have it all cooked fresh. Would go back and stay though.

Very friendly and helpful staff, we stayed in toon after the Michael McIntyre concert at the metro radio arena, the guy at the hotel sorted us a taxi, we could come in after hours if we wished (which we did) . Cracking breakfast, if a bit early (half eight till half nine on a Sunday?). Set us up for the day, would stay there again. Thank you.

Great value, clean, comfy. Breakfast good and they made extra sausages for our dog. We stayed on a bank holiday Sunday, hotel and area VERY noisy and busy! Be aware!
