City workers used the parking lot as a staging area and ran jack hammers and quickie saws all night. Understanding that this is unavoidable when it comes to construction but would have been considerate of the staff to at least warn customers of the situation. Additionally the staff was minimal and not friendly at all with no hours of the front door posted. Furthermore, I locked my key in the room after hours and called the emergency number they had posted, left a message and never got a call back to see if i was able to renter my room! Will not stay there again.

We loved how it was walking distance from the lake, the area was very quiet, I would recommend.

There was nobody at the desk office during our stay (2 nights), no bike was available, the property was very noisy at night. There was NO service. It is not worth the price.
3.3
It was very nice right by the water

I was in town for a sailing regatta held at the marina and yacht club next door. Very convenient. Staff was great and the room was exactly what I needed.

place is not fancy but location is awesome. room could use a curtain as light came in all night long. then daylight was noticed very early in the morning.
3.3
Friendly service, fantastic location- easy access to the beach and free bikes and paddle boards (first come first serve). Well appointed rooms. Walkable to beach and Tahoe City
3.3
We stay one night, it is conveniently located in north Lake Tahoe with plenty of dining options within walking distance. Safeway is just right next door.

Staff was great and accommodated needs that I had for late check-in. It was motel-comfortable, clean and simple - just what I needed. My 4 legged friend was welcome and we had a good stay. Internet was stable enough that I could do work without interruption.
3.3
Short walk to a hike that wraps around the lake. Gorgeous view of the lake and mountains. Torino’s were not fancy but clean. Smart TV equipped

We will return. Great location, comfortable, modern and spacious. But most of all, great customer service from Yvette—she made us feel so welcomed and was helpful with all of our needs.

The people at hotel were nice and the room was comfortable but from the time we hot there ., there was not hot water, could not be fixed since there was a bear by pipes. So had to check out, but they reimbursed us

Totally solid spot for getting your family up on the slopes

Booked the romantic room with my partner for valentines day specifically for the heart shaped tub. We were super excited to use it until we turned on the jets and black mold spewed out. We brought our concerns up with staff, as that is not only gross but a health hazard and were brushed off. Overall its a decent place, but staff were hard to locate and the hot tub incident left our skin crawling.

Evette at the desk was great! The property is super cute and we were very happy with our room. Walking distance to so much good stuff. Microwave & mini fridge was very convenient. The dark horse coffee provided in the room in the AM was so delicious. Bummed that our room didn’t have a separate shower from the heart shaped tub, I totally thought it would. Nonetheless great trip, will recommend.

Yvette is the best!! She knows all the places you need to visit.

Ok place with great location.

The room was very cute and comfortable! It was perfect for our one night stopover in Tahoe. My kids loved getting to sleep on the pullout and the bathroom is bigger than ours at home so they were very excited about that too, haha!
The hotel’s location was pretty excellent, with Safeway and CVS right next door, plus the lake and loads of cute shops within walking distance.
One of the best parts about our stay was the coffee in the hotel room! This is the first time I’ve ever had hotel coffee that was better than the coffee shop in town. It was a pleasant surprise. I hope to stay here again in the future!

Great location walking distance from the lake and close to nice places to eat. Checking in and parking was not a problem. Room was updated, warm, and had everything we needed. Worth it to get a suite.
3.3
Conveniently located within walking distance of supermarkets and restaurants, this hotel offered a comfortable stay with a plush bed.
3.3
Pet friendly budget option. Room was clean as was the property.

The property and staff were amazing… but please go through the Inn at Boatworks to book your stay. Expedia charged me $275 MORE than the hotel and refuses to give any refund. I’ll never use Expedia again. Take the time to call the hotel yourself… save yourself a lot of money!
My apologies to the hotel if this review effects your stars. Expedia really screwed me. Never again.

Because our stay involved a pet having surgery nearby the hotel kindly let us check out later than usual. Very helpful.

Big advertisement on the description about a fabulous mexican restaurant on the premesis. It's actually been closed for three months. This was a problem because of extreme snow storm prohibited going somewhere else. Also, very slow to remove the snow from the parking area, took us a 1/2 hour to get our 4x4 truck out.

Great location at the right price

The big bath tub was nice but jucuizie didn’t work. Old facility but location to the restaurant on the water was nice.
3.3
The rooms are nothing like what’s on the photos showcased on Expedia or on the website.
3.3
Resoundingly disappointed for the very high price. Dingy carpet, burnt out lightbulbs, and very ancient mattresses. Sofa in the suite needed to be cleaned desperately. Generally unpleasant and dark. I paid less for a two bedroom oceanfront condo in Kauai that was gorgeous back in April. Skip this spot.

The location of this Inn is fantastic. The staff was friendly and helpful. The room was not worth the price. There was no iron, the hair dryer didn't work, nor did the coffee pot. There was no view, and it was noisy. Signs say redevelopment is proposed, so maybe then it might be worth the price, but definitely not as is right now. Very disappointing!

The property was perfect for our short stay. Clean and spacious for our family. Next time, I would request a room on the top floor as you can hear the footsteps on the bottom. A small table or coffee table would be nice as well.

I appreciated the ear plugs. Dog friendly!

This place is located quite conveniently at the edge of downtown Tahoe City, a 3-minute walk to Safeway and easy access to the lakeside trail and park, as well as several eateries and a Tahoe Dave’s for snowsport gear.
Registration was quick and without hitches after we got a courtesy call that we could check in early. There was plenty of parking despite the snowdrift occupying several spaces.
As for the room: The beds were clean and comfortable. The bathtub was rather blockish but it contained enough hot water for a good aprés-ski soak. The fridgeling was fine and spacious but the freezer slacked off such that we tragically had to throw out a near-full box of ice cream sandwiches. The fridgeling and a microwave were all there was in the way of a kitchenette.
I also appreciated the amenities, including a bag of locally roasted coffee and nice local toiletries.
Though it is just above the lakeshore above its namesake Boatworks, the view from the bathroom window gave on the facade of a shopping mall ironically named Mirada.
All in all, it gave us what we needed, and they let us bring the dog.

Excellent location, great front desk service. Older motel but has updated carpet, bathroom and very clean. We were very comfortable, only stayed 1 night but the location was perfect could walk to anything you would want to do. Main reason we chose was because we could bring our dog and even if we didn’t I would stay again.

We had a great stay at The Inn at Boat Works. Perfect location in Tahoe City you can walk to everything you need. The mall is located behind the Inn where we had the best I cream and Mexican food.
