This is our 2nd time staying at this hotel. We love this hotel. Even though the air con in one of the room is not working well, we are happy with our stay.
Service is excellent. Thank you for making our stay so pleasant.

Good location near to public transport, viz monorail, LRT, MRT, bus.
Also near to shopping areas, food areas, amenities.
Hotel staff very friendly, helpful, excellent service. Hotel conditions are good, no major flaws, no problems.
Amenities such as gym and pool well maintained. Breakfast good too.

Excellent location. Very friendly, efficient staff - always polite & helpful. The room was clean and spacious and well appointed. The pool area is really nice.
This is a great hotel and I will stay here again.

Very friendly, efficient and professional staff.
Always helpful.
My room was spotless; comfortable bed and lots of pillows; breakfast varied and delicious and catered for all cultures.
Fantastic location.
Rooftop pool is clean and very a lovely place to cool down.
I would highly recommend the KL Journal Hotel

The Rooms have been renovated and are fabulous. Better than some dated 5 star hotels in Kuala Lumpur. The exterior is a nit rough but the rooms are awesome. Big and spotless with a free bar fridge with loads of water and drinks. Great location close to restaurants and pavilion mall.

This nice little hotel is a bit of a hidden gem.
I have stayed here several times now, and find it quite convenient for my needs, and with food and shopping options being very walkable, I'm sure it would suit many.
Buffet breakfasts are ok for a small hotel, not extensive, but a nice selection. (not always set up by 7 am on weekends though, so made timing for my commitments a little pressed.)
I'm sure I'll be back to stay again.

A good and simple stay. Not the first time there and yet in fact, it was always the first choice. Great customer service as always

Outstanding location with easy access to shopping centres and railway stations. Helpful and kind staff who made the stay that much more enjoyable. Bar and pool were also worth going to several times. Would stay here again in a heartbeat

Great location, staff were very nice and the rooms were beautiful and clean. They offer complimentary afternoon tea and breakfast. Even packed us breakfast for an early airport transfer.

Customer service whether front desk reception or restaurant is excellent.

The KL Journal is one of the hidden gems of Kuala Lumpur. We stayed for 4 nights and had a wonderful time. The hotel is located in the hustle and bustle of the Bukit Bintang area but is just a few steps in a side street that keeps it quiet. Our stay was very comfortable and the view from the room was outstanding. But the most exceptional part of our stay was service we received from the staff at KL Journal. Right from our fast and friendly check in to the daily service and personal attention to details along with the best recommendations - we cannot say enough about the exemplary service we received at this hotel. I would like to single out and name Rohaizad, Farid, Sin Ling, and Aiman who provided exceptional service. Even the floor staff and the doormen were so attentive to details and personally helpful. A very welcoming staff indeed. Thank you KL Journal for making our stay in KL so memorable.

Great location and overall good hotel. However we found a lot of sand in our bed the first night, and I mean A LOT. Don’t know if this is from previous guests (hope not) or something they do. Also asked for Iron but they never came with it, room had iron board so strange there was no Iron.
The location of the hotel is perfect, and lots of things in walking distance

Best hotel till now, excellent service (especially Ms Sin Ling front desk polite helpful) Plan visit KL again and will stay in journal hotel again.

Great hotel in an ideal location for foodies and shopping. Very helpful staff, clean and modern. Breakfast could be a tad better but certainly acceptable

The staff at the Journal were excellent, they were very friendly, efficient and polite. I was made to feel very welcome.
I loved the afternoon drinks and snacks that were provided, this was a very nice touch.
The room was pleasant with a great view of the Petronas Towers which looks fabulous at night. The location is very convenient for MRT, monorail and shops and restaurants.
Breakfast was good.

Whatever a 5 star hotel they cannot make up for they tried to in terms of the little things like refreshments, mini bar and smile

Service is the key selling point that I am experiencing in this hotel, from the front desk to room cleaning and the restaurant.
Hotel is centrally located in Bukit Bintang within walking distance to the MRT. Food is within the vicinity with some good cafes & restaurant as well as the famous Jalan Alor.
Suggest to opt for their breakfast as they offer good wide spread of food. Good to kickstart for the day instead of searching around for food. Else, just opposite the entrance is a local eateries.
Room wise is clean and tidy. Bathroom lighting is on the romantic spectrum but the water pressure is good with hot water. Good for someone who is picky on bathing like me 😅.
Some shortfall, the wifi is very slow during those peak hours and we can’t seem to adjust the aircon to a higher setting.
Overall, a great hotel that’s definitely worth the price.

The Kuala Lumpur Journal is the perfect choice if you want to stay near Jalan Alor and near the bustle of Bukit Bintang! It’s off on a quiet-ish street but within walking distance to all the best street food. It’s also very close to the Golden Triangle so accessible to nearby malls. The property itself is so cute and welcoming! The rooms are a fair size, clean and cozy. From the moment we entered we had nothing but amazing service from all of the staff who worked there. We will definitely stay again on future trips to KL!

Great value, very clean, quiet hotel. Cool retro rooftop pool and bar, location is great, easy walk to all Bukit Bintang attractions. Only drawback was slow unreliable wifi. We will definitely stay again. Highly recommended for safety, clean, location and value.

Wonderful service at the front desk and in the restaurant any breakfast.

This hotel is perfect for someone on a budget that wants to stay close to the best food in the city. It’s quite the long walk to other sights but it was really easy to get a grab to those sights. The staff is wonderful and the breakfast is okay. We ended up having to do breakfast at the hotel because so many places opened too late for tours. The pool is a nice break from the heat during the day.

Conveniently located to walk to shopping and dining. Staff at hotel were the nicest Ive encountered. Highly recommended.

Good modern hotel with rooftop pool! Really friendly staff - lots of restaurants nearby and close to the underground! Good value overall - would stay again if in Kuala Lumpur.

The Hotel is in good condition it is modern and the staff were all very welcoming and helpful. The area around the hotel is dirty but felt safe and any people we met around the area were polite and friendly. The hotel is well positioned for transport links within the city and has many places to eat and have a drink from local to global foods and drinks. A big thank you to the staff for letting us keep our room on for a couple of hours for free as we had an evening flight. My only gripe was the music that was played at the pool which was brain dead club music not for me. I like to chill at the pool:)

We stayed at the Journal for 4 nights. It was amazing. Couldnt fault it. The staff were outstanding super friendly and helpful. The rooms were spacious, clean and aircon was brilliant. Items in the mini bar are free. It is really close to the mrt and within walking distance of the main sites
2.5
Excellent and friendly service and good breakfast buffet. Also located in the heart of things in Bukit Bintang.
2.5
Friendly and helpful staff. Limited 8 covered car park lots I think that is set over some metal rollers. Could be for security purposes. Location is great and walkable to nearby malls and food stalls. Could be a bit noisy as next to a food stall. Room is clean and has essential bits but don’t expect 5 star luxury.

Reasonable location
