Very nice area, upper class area of Havana. Really helpful, friendly owners. They give you lots of helpful info to make life in Cuba easier, which makes a big difference as life can be complicated over there at times

I had such a great time in Havana at Hostal Aptofive, a perfect room in an amazing city! I was fortunate to be able to visit Viñales as well with the help of Patricia and Estrella; I’ll be sure to visit Cuba again - definitely planning to stay here again. Thank you!

My room and bathroom were so clean, with the all-white bedding and bathroom. Patricia, the owner, is professional, courteous, accommodating and very knowledgeable about Havana. Luis, her husband, picked me up and dropped me off at Viazul bus station at no charge. He doesn't speak much English, but Patricia is fluent. It was a pleasure to stay at Hostal Aptofive, and I would not hesitate to stay there again.

Hostal Aptofive is located in a nice and quiet residential neighbourhood, close to the Viazul Bus Station, Fabrica de Arte Cubano, Bosque de la Habana and Necropolis Cristobal Colon. There is a direct local bus to Old Havana. The rooms are very clean and comfortable. The breakfast was delicious, with many fruits, fresh, natural juice and aromatic coffee.
Luis and Patricia are very kind, understanding and good people. Their support was invaluable. As our luggage was delayed, they helped us to go through a set of formalities and even collected the luggage when it had finally arrived five days later. Thanks to their help we were able to continue our trip across Cuba, knowing that our belongings are in the good hands.
We were so charmed by their hospitality that we decided to change our plans and stay at their place for two more nights!

I use to travel to Cuba for professional matters and I am sick of staying in hotel rooms without the possibility of establishing warm relationships with the local people, in this case in Patricia and Luis´house. I wrote an email to book there, and Patricia quickly replied in English, confirming the availability. I needed and she also offered herself in helping me in the organization of my trips through the island with the promise of saving money and time. This couple works in an excellent way: they offered me to be picked at the airport, to buy the Via Azul Bus tickets for the different destinations I wanted to go: Havana-Viñales, Viñales-Trinidad,Trinidad-Varadero and Varadero- Havana. I made two excursions with them. To Guama-Giron in Zapata Wetland and to Soroa and las Terrazas in Pinar del Rio.
When I arrived at Jose Marti Airport, Patricia and Luis were waiting for me there, it took half an hour to get to their house in Nuevo Vedado, a quiet and safe area, surrounded by trees and near the main places of the city: Old Havana, the Wall sea, Havana University, Revolution Square, 23 Ave, among others. I visited Cemetery Colon and Revolution Square by walking, both places were interesting and I enjoyed going there. I also visited Fabrica de Arte Cubano, a cultural institution, very well known and visited to have a great time.
The room I stayed, is very comfortable, it is fresh, independent from the house, with a small terrace. I felt like I was at home.
