Great hotel and the staff makes it even better. Room had minor details but everything worked very good. I would return!

I was surprised to find that the hotel didn't have an elevator. Also, the breakfast wasn't very good or complete. Most of the days the water in the shower was cold.

The interior is quite unique with excellent design of the halls and gardens. Very pleasant place to stay and very easy to walk to the center plaza

Rooms are big and well decorated, although beds could be more conformable. Location is unbeatable, a couple blocks away from main attractions of the city makes this hotel well suited for someone looking to know about the history of Antigua Guatemala like I was.

Gorgeous - incredible sitting areas, terraces, foliage- unique-
Only thing was no hot water in shower.

Stay was great … big letdown was the mattresses in the rooms .. quite old .. very hard + springs were felt even with the mattress protector! For this quality of hotel .. a good, decent mattress should be a high priority!

I couldn't get the name of an amazing person that check me in.But he make sure that everything was perfect. Since i was traveling alone with.my kids this hotel was oerfwct and.we feel saved all the time. Breakfast is one.of the best we had. We will co.ing back to this Antigua Gem.

One night stay after hiking Fuego. The small courtyard is beautiful and breakfast is served there which is excellent. Room was basic but had all that we needed Inc en-suite. There is a lovely roof top area that you can take drinks up to. Views across the town, and great view of Acatenango and Fuego erupting.

The location was ideal. So easy to walk to everything, this is one of the reasons we chose this hotel. The price was also reasonable. It was a very rustic hotel which comes with charm but at the cost of some conveniences. Like a bathtub, decent water pressure and hot water for showering. Our TV didn’t work well which they switched out promptly and the bedspreads were stained which they also exchanged for us. There are no ceiling fans so we asked for a fan which they were kind enough to bring for us. This also helped drown out some of the music from the brewery two doors down. The hotel was quiet for the most part, breakfast was good every morning and there were lots of places to sit and enjoy the courtyard and multiple sitting areas. The staff was very welcoming and friendly.

This property was incredible but the room was very small and quite noisy. Everything else was amazing! Thank you!

Currently in a dispute with hotel over shady business practices. Added an additional person and hotels.com chargers +$5 USD for an add and I was charged unauthorized $25 by the hotel. The hotel front staff said it would be $5 but then changed it to $25. Completely unprofessional and misleading.

Beautiful premises. Good service. Great location. Breakfast needs to be better organized for the last hour in which they serve it. New mattress needed in Room 106, it’s sagging and feels like you slide into an indention. All pillows are thick, so need to provide thinner/softer options.

very pretty old house but it is so old that has little roaches coming out of desks and leaky toilets that make a lot of noise

everything was ok thank you

The location was great, the cable was down but no need as there was plenty to do, there is no parking so be aware of this extra expense you will incur while staying there is think it was Q150 per day plus Q50 at night so Q200 each day/night stay. It can be a bit loud as there is lots going on but the view from the roof top was really nice.

This hotel was very clean and spacious, most importantly was close to everything.

This hotel was O.K. considering the price. we wanted a hotel where we could "rest" instead of paying 1/10 of the price at any hostel. There is a nightclub next door that have pounding music the whole night, and the room does NOT have Air Conditioning!! The viewd from the terrace are nice but almost every hotel in antigua as nice views!

Beautiful, clean, safe, lovely staff. It is next door to a bar that's a bit loud at night, so heads up. But otherwise perfect

Great colonial stay! Second time here, great staff. Tasty breakfast and nice views in terrace.

Great place, great staff, great location. Only surprise for us was the fact that it doesn't have AC (my fault for not checking) but quite honestly we didn't need it, the room was cool enough. We did ask for a fan that was very helpful. Overall great stay. We went in holy week with important festivities and it was way too crowded, the hotel helped me by offering me the one and only indoor parking space they have at no cost.

Average hotel: very clean, good location, beds and pillows could be better but did the job, breakfast edible but needs improvement. Overall stay was average, nothing special.

This hotel is in a great spot and the inner courtyards, seating areas, and terrace are very cozy (watched the volcano spewing lava on the roof...cool!). Very authentic and nicely decorated property.

Very nice location and beautiful property. We enjoyed the roof top deck with its extensive views of the surrounding area and volcanic activity. It is located near a brewery restaurant and their rooftop bar has nightly music that can be loud until midnight. Some rooms have the shared locked door between the two and you can hear your neighbors clearly. We will come back for sure!

Completely satisfied with the service of all the staff at Meson de Maria, especially Heidi at the front desk who went the extra mile in making us feel comfortable and at ease. As well as Nery who also exceeded our expectations.
Thank you and we feel totally invited to visit you again.

Absolutely loved my stay here and wish I could have stayed more than one night. One of the best hotel breakfasts I've ever had in my life, and the staff was wonderful. The only thing was the hot water in the shower was kind of on and off, so I ran the hot water thru the faucet first to get it warmed up. Otherwise, gorgeous hotel, clean, good views.

Water running all night no focus on water being wasted by both faucets shower and sink. Extremely noisy, able to hear all conversations above and next door.
FALSE advertisement on Parking, had to Park 5 blocks away and walk with bags and pay overnight then hourly after 8 am. Property states parking included.
