Did a self check in after hours. Very simple. Key and room number were in an envelope. With my name on it. Great place to stay. Breakfast was excellent.
Would definitely stay again if i'm back in the area someday.

This site is a long drive from Door County. We love touring old homes and liked the ideal of spending a night. Stayed in the Plum room in Hotel addition of rooms made to look similar. There is no staff until 8 am. I found an envelope in mailbox with key and instructions. House is very clean except I was the first one down to breakfast and found the table set but linen had coffee stains from previous use. Breakfast was between 8:30 & 10 am. No food options, you get Pan cooked egg squares w/ potato, no meat, little bowl of fruit, small filled pastry & choice of drink. Living area of house had some games, magazines & books for daytime use. After sundown the lighting is just enough to get around. The Plum room has a desk, Futon & very low bed similar to dorm room furniture. There are 3 Large Windows but non of the pleated shades would pull up more than 1/3 & crooked. Room & bath lighting is also subdued. No reading in bed or putting on makeup. Some information would be nice regarding the house history. Over all there are many choices with Full time staff, adequate lighting plus mini frig., microwave & some counter space in bath for less money.

I liked the property because it was historic and loaded with antique items. It was quiet and the owner was very gracious. My only suggestion would be to have someone at the house when we arrived.

Would definitely recommend, great atmosphere.

The Inn is very eclectic and user-friendly. The breakfast was very tasty and the Blue Room martini bar is swanky and fun!

Love old homes with all the wood and elegance!
Very clean and tastefully decorated.
We didn’t know where our room was located. Helpful to put room number on envelope.

It was a wonderful hidden gem in Marinette. I had an amazing stay here. Loved the historic architecture and overall ambiance here. The owner, Jean and manager, Michael were so welcoming and made our stay even better. Breakfast was absolutely delicious. When the owner heard that I wouldn’t make it to my last breakfast due to an early flight, she brought freshly baked gourmet muffins right out of the oven!! The difference between a good business and a great one is the small details, and the Lauerman House truly cares about the details. I’ll stay here again next time!

A wonderful property to visit. Historic home with a flare of decor and superb amenities. Lovely.

The building was built in 1910 by a local merchant who also owned a department store located in downtown Marinette. The rooms were spacious and comfortable. Each room has its own climate control and the building is very quiet. The breakfast was delicious and filling. The host was extremely interesting and we spoke with her for quite a while. It was a perfect stay to end our vacation.

Wish homes were built like this house. It was nice spending time in a historical home.

Jean Moore and staff did a wonderful job making us feel comfortable and welcomed. Loved the balcony room and hot breakfast. One of our favorite lodging experiences ever!

This property is a quaint, old inn on the riverfront. The owner/operator does an excellent job making sure guests feel welcome and that their needs are attended to. The breakfast was unique and very tasty. We’d love to stay here again if we are in the area.

A lovely old home well maintained and set up for short term stays, with private baths for each room. The neighborhood if great for walking, with the river across the street and a park nearby. There's excellent dining in Menominee, a short drive away. We ate supper at Berg's Landing, which was superb - but get reservations; they try to accomodate walk-ins but it's very busy.

The awesome architecture of the house, the atmosphere of the interior, and the fantastic personal breakfast service.

First of all i need to say this Hotel was picked because we pulled up Door County on Hotels.com...it is 2 hours away and ruined our entire 2 days that we had for Door County....
If your looking for a Hisoric House in the middle of know where this is your place. The rooms are interesting, Birds eye Maple in ours if thats your thing. Small shower, old dirty carpet and hard towels...Breakfast underwhelming...not worth the money but more importantly not anywhere near Door County.

Nice historic mansion in the center of town. The room was very large and comfortable, with nice public areas. Our breakfast was very good and consisted of fruit, a nice strata, bacon, bakery items, coffee, etc. The house is right across from the river, which is nice. There is a train next door that comes through in the middle of the night, but otherwise it was very quiet. The downtown isn't very lively and somewhat limited for food options within walking distance.

This place was absolutely perfect. We arrived and followed the COVID specific check in process they have devised which shows a great deal of concern for the Howell. Wing of their guests and staff. We were impressed with the charm of the inn and our room was clean and very nice. The hand cooked breakfast we had each morning was delicious and the honor bar was clean and well stocked. Highly recommended for a couple looking for a quiet get away in a quaint little town close to many Doot County attractions. Thank you Jean!

Very accommodating even after they found out my two grandchildren had joined us at the last minute!
Extremely beautiful , comfortable and delicious breakfast !!!

The property was unique and had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. It was like stepping back in time with the high ceilings, ornate details, and large great rooms. The private guest rooms were more modern and full of funky decorations. We were served a terrific breakfast and were always greeted by friendly staff.
