Perfect stay, thank you!

New, modern hotel overlooking the river. There's a upper level bar with great views. It's a little bit of a walk (10min) to get the the center of town, but the advantage is the area around the hotel is very peaceful. They have bicycles for use (free). We had a great time there.

Great stay, beautiful hotel. Gorgeous view of the river from our room. Beautiful breakfast. A bit of a walk away from main sites, but quick cheap uber

Stunning building in a great location. We had a mezzanine room which went down well with the children.
Lovely, if busy, breakfast. But then that's what happens when you're being lazy on holiday.
10min walk to main area along the driver towards the bridge, and easy walk from the old town.
Rooftop bar was a bonus as well.

The hotel was beautiful and in a great position by the river.
We enjoyed breakfast and dined in the restaurant twice during our stay. It was very tasty and good value.
We were treated to a room upgrade which was very much appreciated on our arrival.
The Cloisters was a beautiful and quiet area where we took a morning coffee after breakfast.
We also used the free bikes available from the hotel which was great fun we would highly recommend a stay here and hope to return ourselves in the future.

loved the vibe of the hotel. The room was perfect for party of 1 or 2. Staff were super helpful and charming! Easy to water to the Riberia from the hotel and beautiful view during the day and night.

This hotel is absolutely fantastic, and so is Porto as a whole.
Pros:
- The staff are absolutely incredible. They are very helpful and kind, and went way above and beyond for us when we told them it was our honeymoon.
- Great location right on the Douro river with absolutely unbelievable views. Our room overlooked the river and it was incredible.
- The rooftop bar is absolutely phenomenal with great views and food. same with their restaurant.
- Again on the location, it is a 20 minute walk from some great areas around Porto.
- The lobby and everything was also beautiful.
Cons:
- NONE. Stay here, you won’t regret it.

Amazing spa and very good Massage.

Staff is wonderful

The breakfast was not impressive, one day the bakery is warm, the other day it is cold.
I loved the view of the river very much.
Best location for the Alfandega congress center
It would be beneficial if the staff would explain the various facilities of the hotel so guests can enjoy.

Lovely hotel, the room had a beautiful view of the river and were comfy and kept the street noise out. Staff were friendly.
4.6
Beautiful hotel! Our room was a good size and very clean. There are bikes you can borrow, which we didn’t use. The location is about 10-15 min

Fantastic hotel!
4.6
Very nice hotel. Bathroom door opening width is a little narrow.
4.6
They upgraded us and our room had a beautiful private patio looking into the river. Even though we were street side, it was very quiet day and night. The breakfast buffet was fantastic and the views were spectacular. Everyone was super friendly and nice. We walked most everywhere and Ubers are easy to fine too.

Lovely hotel, we stayed in a superior room with a river view. Excellent location, walking distance to Porto and villa nova de Gaia- can also water taxi across. Roof top bar is lovely and has live music on a weekend. Free bike hire from reception. If you want breakfast to go, this has to be pre-ordered the night before which we weren’t made aware of. Breakfast had plenty of options. Overall, a lovely stay and would stay again.

Great location. Excellent staff

Lovely hotel on the Douro River. Parking is very difficult and we were lucky because it was a weekend and parking was free and no time limit. Into town was straight uphill which we walked and enjoyed ourselves, but not for everyone. It was not quiet due to the traffic and on this weekend, there is a club very nearby that stays open all night on Saturday. I also feel the fee for breakfast was a little high for people staying at the hotel. Overall it was good for me.
4.6
Nothing bad to say about the Hotel. If you are driving in.. the "where to park scenario" to do check in can be tricky if your first time there like it was mine. But, something easy to figure once you are aware the tram train doesnt run at night 😅
4.6
One of the most beautiful hotels I ever stayed in.
The mix between old and new is perfectly mixed. And the staff was out of this world.
Worth every penny
4.6
Room was great! River view is so nice.
When I arrived at the hotel I did not feel greeted as a new guest and that was off putting. The rest of the stay and rest of staff I interacted with were great.
Rooftop bar was wonderful
4.6
Location on the water; helpful & friendly staff; easy access to transportation.
Rooftop bar was very loud; food was mediocre.
Concern about water leaking from the tub faucet outside of shower door.
4.6
We had a lovely stay here! We showed up early and weren’t able to check in early but we had a coffee on the rooftop with beautiful views of the river. Our room was amazing with views of the river. Loved using the free bikes and venturing into the city centre. Great location. Only complaint was our room only had decaf pods for the coffee maker and we had a wine tour booked for 7:30 pick up. We went to the restaurant where they served breakfast and asked if we could have a coffee to go and the hostess was extremely rude to my husband and I. Other than that we had an amazing stay.

Excellent hospitality!
4.6
Loved the rooftop area and bar - nice menu too. Perfect location, easy distance along the riverside to Ribeira.
4.6
Very convenient for walking to the sights. Walk along river to the restaurants took approximately 15 minutes. It’s all on the flat so perfect. 10 minutes uphill to the historic centre.
Air conditioning was not strong enough - it was 30 degrees when we visited. We let reception know when we left so hopefully feedback gets taken onboard. Fabulous roof top bar, great place to chill over a drink and enjoy Porto.
4.6
This is a lovely hotel located within easy walking distance of the Ribeira district and on a bus and tram line for the city centre or Foz by the coast.
We arrived early due to our flight schedule but our room was ready and we were warmly welcomed by the reception staff.
The room itself was spacious with a huge bed and a large and clean bathroom.
The breakfast buffet was superb.
The hotel has a terrace bar which is a nice place to have drinks in the evening.
We did eat in the restaurant one night and we had a superb if slightly expensive meal. Our only grumble was being charged for water however we were given some wine samples to help us to choose.
If returning to Porto we would return here.
4.6
Great location, room and top floor outside bar. The staff gave excellent service in all major languages. On late Sunday afternoon we quickly needed access to a nurse. The staff did a great job directing us to a center that could receive us with no queue.
Suggested improvement: Both the quality and the process of serving coffee at breakfast needs improvement.
4.6
The positives : - the breakfast is varied and plentiful. The hotel is very clean and presented well. The rooftop bar with seating area is delightful. Bar food is not over expensive.
The ‘it’s okays’ :- complete lack of consistency with how great to just okay staff were. For example the first night at the bar ( Saturday) staff were great, engaging with the customers, and generally making the atmosphere at the bar great. A different day, my friend went to the bar and ordered her drink , told the guy where we were sitting, the drink never arrived. Bar food is delivered by a remote robot , by the time you get it , it’s not always hot. The reception staff, whilst ALL were polite , depending on the staff member , we were not always given the correct information.
Negatives :- The room doors are not soft closing and the insulation is poor- you are very aware when people have left their room and easily hear what their conversation is as they walk down the corridor.
Just in case anyone else needs this information, we ordered a twin room - Davy Dias had contacted me to ask if there was anything he could help with - so I said please separate the beds- his reply was “they don’t separate” - Yes they do, and very easily!
Also the rooms with a balcony it’s about 12inches in depth! But all the doors onto it do open.

The hotel was very nice, but the location could be better.
