About this house rental
My vacation home is a full-time dedicated home, I don’t live in it but it was created as a separate property and shares a private road with our backyard and my neighbor who is a renown bronze monument sculptor artist. The whole property is a very serendipitous arrangement. You will feel the warmth the minute you arrive and feel as though you were meant to be there. Being located in the north valley of albuquerque inserts you into former farmland and because we are close to the Rio Grande river you will frequently see hot air balloons flying on most mornings just before or after sunrise so be sure to make a cup of coffee and walk up the stairs located 40 feet from your front door and up to the Sky Deck to watch the balloons and in the evening grab a glass of wine to go back up on the deck to watch our unbeatable sunsets. Take a walk past Our Lady of Guadalupe Church located behind the property to have lunch breakfast or dinner at Flying Star Cafe 12 minutes to the north. That funky looking building in the photos is the chicken coop so feel free to grab fresh eggs.

We spent two nights in Albuquerque for our nieces wedding. The location was convenient for us and everything was just as listed.

Very secure, a hidden gem

This was the perfect place for our family to spend the holidays…good room for us in the living area and dining. Close to places we wanted to go. It was also great to go up on the deck and see the Sandias at sunset.

The house was lovely and the beds super comfortable!! Very quiet neighborhood. Watch your step in the garage if you do laundry. Otherwise perfect home to have a vacation with friends or family.

The property was as described. Very quiet neighborhood with great views of the Sandia mountains to the East in the am and magnificent sunsets as the Sun disappeared on the horizon to the West. Blue skies you don't see in every locale. David is a great host and responded within 10-15 minutes anytime we had a question. Highly recommend this property for your visit to Albuquerque. Best Mexican food anywhere. Check with David for recommendations. A very relaxing stay, would definitely book it again.

I rented this property for myself, sister, our parents and their dog. It was a wonderful experience during the Christmas holiday, and David was an excellent host. We all recommend this rental house!

We had a great stay here during Balloonfiesta. We were a group of moms and daughters. The deck outside was great for sunset and sunrise and balloon viewing. Great location. Some homes don't have a great flow. This one does. We often ended up together in the living room, around the kitchen table, or on the outside deck. Loved it!

This house was perfect for our family of four! We didn't trip over each other like in other rentals and we were only a 15 minute drive from Old Downtown Albuquerque (which we went to a few times). Getting fresh eggs was a nice little bonus, even if it was only one a day. Of course bugs got in, but we were right up against an empty lot, we just had to make sure our puppy didn't try to eat them lol. Hubby and I highly recommend trying out the Indian Pueblo Kitchen too!

Enchanting for us all.

Thoroughly enjoyed our quick stay at this property. Our kids loved saying hello to the chickens. We grabbed two fresh eggs on our first morning. The view of the sunrise and hot air balloons from the rooftop deck was fantastic. Lots of nice touches, like fans, USB ports in bedside lamps, and nightlights in the bathrooms. Great location for sightseeing, too. We would stay here again!

Beautiful property in a compound but very private. Very well appointed. Outside gas fire pit and deck for viewing sunrises, sunsets and hot air balloons Sublime. We loved our mini retreat. Host extremely responsive.

Perfect for us! The "Valley" as it is known in Albuquerque presents itself as "old ABQ" ....(This ain't the suburbs). Small AG and horse properties, large "McMansions" and less attractive properties intermingled. BUT.... Do not let this sway you! The VRBO is near to Old-Town and offers local, less-expensive dining options, local flavor and easy access to the city. Will stay here again.

The house is so great. A fun place to stay and relax. The fire pit and grill and outdoor table were well used. There is a chicken coop out back to have fresh eggs every morning! The sky deck has a beautiful 360 view. On vacation so the well equipped gym was not used! I would recommend this property highly and will stay here again.

Check in process is simple and the house has all the amenities you would need for a comfortable stay in Albuquerque. House was clean and the chickens in the back are a plus. Will definitely book again when I’m back in Albuquerque

Great location. Excellent response time on any questions with host.

I stayed there as an ending to an elopement road trip & ended up actually have the vows ceremony at the house instead! Very cute home, very roomy, up to date appliances— the sky deck was perfect for a little get together and you can see air balloons in the morning and afternoons! There were a few miscommunications over parking and trash location but was figured out quickly.

Overall we really enjoyed the property and would probably rent it again if we came through town again. There were a lot of insects inside and outside that is our only complaint. The owner might want to consider having the property sprayed, it looks like preventative measures were being taking with traps and such but it was not enough and was the only part that would make me question returning. Otherwise the kids loved playing outside, visiting the chickens, and going out on the rooftop deck. The house was spacious and comfortable and the owner was very responsive.

Casa Los GriegosCasa Los Griegos is a great place to stay in Albuquerque. It’s conveniently located, that’s for sure. It’s a 10- to 15-minute drive from the airport; it’s near Old Town and all that Old Town has to offer – history, the plaza, museums and some great restaurants, like the long-popular Season’s and newer Level 5. It’s near downtown, which offers both similar and unique experiences and then some, many of them on Central Street, like the Holocaust and Intolerance Museum of New Mexico – a solemn but worthwhile experience. Ditto for Nob Hill.If outdoors is your thing, it’s a short trip to Paseo Del Bosque Trail, a 16-mile paved, uninterrupted bicycle/running trail that runs along the Rio Grande. We took a four-mile run on the trail during our stay and really enjoyed our cold and crisp but sunny, peaceful, truly colorful hour.If you just want to stay home and relax, you’re going to love Casa Los Griegos. From the attached garage, radiant-heated floors, fully equipped kitchen, comfortable living area with gas-starter wood-burning fireplace, to the great beds and cleanliness all around, why leave home? Plenty of towels are provided; there’s a washer and dryer in the attached garage. The patio provides a terrific gas grill and a sitting area around a gas-powered fire pit. The home is in a gated (keypad) compound that includes the owner’s home and the home/studio of a local artists. Believe it or not, there’s an actual separate exercise room with very usable equipment: treadmill, elliptical, and several kinds of strength machines. A viewing deck also is easily accessible.David, the owner, is very responsive, A quick text about something usually receives a quick response. As has been said, he is very professional. We lived in ABQ for many years, having sold our home several years ago. But we’ve returned to the Duke City a lot of times since we left; Casa Los Griegos has been our best experience.
