Room had a lot of character. Pretty sure we booked a queen bed but we're given a double. Bed was not very comfortable, I was glad to get back to my own. Location was incredible.

Very clean. A Boutique hotel. So the furniture is antique (and expectations need be modified). So was the tv. Why was the refrigerator in the middle of the room? No microwave. No desk.
Bed provided an excellent sleep. The sheets were very white and clean.

Didn’t really like the parking being off the premise and having to get the key after hours.

Bathtub tiles were moldy over the bathtub. Two large stains on the carpet in the room. Room smelled moldy. Beds were uncomfortable I could feel the wood under the mattress. Tried to fill the bathtub and ran out of hot water. Dining options at the nearby pubs was poor. Don’t get the a room facing the street you will be woken up around 5 am by large trucks and street cleaning vehicles. Basic hotel with less facilities.

We have stayed at the Bedford before but not in the same type of rooms. The configuration of the deluxe queen was not great. The room was too hot even with the window open. We know the hotel is older but it really shows its age. The parking arrangement for weekends and after 6 pm is very inconvenient. The pipes were constantly groaning and kept us up most of the night. Not a very good stay this time.

Because of one way streets and closures for pedestian walks, access is challenging. Wasted 20 minutes trying to get to the hotel to check in.
Also tv service was abysmal.

First of all, we had trouble finding the entrance to the hotel and finally decided to pull over and one of us walked to find it. The entrance to the hotel is on a street that is walking only and the parking is a couple of blocks away. They give you a key for access to the parking and you have to return the key right away.
The hotel is older and a bit run down. Definitely not worth the price they are charging for September stays, maybe during summer months but we would not opt to stay here again. The carpets are old, the showers are moldy and there is no sink in the bathroom. You have to wash your hands and face plus brush your teeth in the little kitchen sink you see in the photo. We only stayed one night thank goodness. We don’t have photos to share because it does look exactly as shown in the photo they post.

Great Hotel, location and safe. Friendly and clean space, big rooms; we will com back for sure. Close to beautiful waterfront.

Really great location. Room was a little old, with worn carpet, strange kitchenette, and funky layout. Bed was fine. But is the location that rocks! So many shops and restaurants right around the hotel. Fun spot for sure.

My husband become ill and we chose to cancel rather than expose anyone else. In these post covid times I find it unconscionable to charge someone because they didn't cancel early enough. This is the type corp greed that encourage people to go out public and go about their business even while contagious.

No hot water and checkin was late as room not ready by 4pm

The hotel was in a great area, but our room was very noisy...until 2am each night! It sounded like all of the windows were open, even though they were shut. The worst part was that we had reserved a room with a pull out sofa in a separate area from the bed, we were called asking if we wanted to change the room setup, and we said we wanted it as we reserved it. I got a second call an hour after that offering us a two bedroom setup, which I carefully asked about the privacy issue and was assured that it was two separate rooms. We accepted that, but once we arrived we were forced into one room with two beds. Exactly what we did not want! Zero help from the front desk, and we will never stay there again.

The staff are very nice but unfortunately they cannot be held responsible for the lack of hot water in the showers in the morning nor for the windows which were so dirty on the outside, you could barely see through them.

Amazing pub downstairs and right in the heart of Victoria. Walk to anything.

Stay was fine. Great location if your planning to stay out late at bars.

We booked the from late and got the last room as we were uncertain if we needed a room .. we checked in after 11pm and the door was locked . There was a buzzer which said to push after 11 pm .. we pushed it at least 4 times before some came . It was frustrating as we were tired and wanted to check in ASAP

Dates rooms and bathrooms. Noisy from the street.

Shower didn't work. Parking arrangements poor. Bathroom needs refurbishing.

charming older hotel.
5.0
the shower was too small for bathing, the tea kettle plug was difficult to plug in the outlet, the 2 tea cups were small it should have been a medium size cup and for an overnight stay considering the age of this hotel it should have been 100 dollars cheaper .

Very convenient location and for an older Victorian style hotel it’s reasonable well kept the rooms are clean and the beds comfortable. Parking is in a parkade 2 blocks away and you pay for it so not great if you plan to use your car a lot

Great view. Enormous room. Not super new property but well maintained. Clean. Large bathroom. Sitting room. We will return

Excellent location - very basic / old hotel

Excellent location. We had a view of the harbour.
5.0
The location is exceptional which is the only reason I'd even ever consider staying here. The shower had mold in the tiles and the sink is in an odd place so that it doubles as a bathroom sink and a small kitchenette sink. The room is very small which was fine since we really didn't spend much time in it at all. Noisy due to seagulls making noise all night long which isn't really their fault except they should put in some better windows to block the noise a bit better. Room was functional but overpriced for the quality. The location is really the only plus.
5.0
Better if you do not have a car because their parking system isn't friendly, the photos look better than the actual room and whenever your neighbour uses water like flushing, shower or just the tap seems like all the pipes are making weird noises. However, the price is okay...

Clean and comfortable in a convenient central location.

Parking was very difficult due to the fact we were not informed in advanced the street were closed in front of the hotel, so there was not parking in front of the hotel so we spent an enormous amount of time uselessly trying to find parking in front of the hotel, we have to carry all our luggage to the hotel without any kind of help from the concierge at the hotel.
5.0
Finding it was very inconvenient maps did not take you there. We drove around for an hour before we got there, even after staff instructions. Parking was very poor was at least two blocks away and we had to cart to our luggage and pay for parking. Would not go there again based on that alone.

On a Friday night on a long weekend it was great to get a good night sleep with no street noise! A bit outdated but overall very good. It would have been nice to have a sink in the bathroom
5.0
The hotel is quite old. The room configuration, set up, furniture are very outdated. The ac is outdated and does not cool the entire room. For that level of service the hotel is really over priced.

Great rates and friendly staff ... parking situation was very complicated. Location was tops.

Paid a lot of money for this dump! Tiny bathroom consisted of a shower stall with rain faucet in ceiling n a toilet. In the bedroom area was a cheesy shelving unit with a tiny bar sink next to a tiny glass cooktop(?) and an 8” round mirror attached to the wall. All the electronics connectors were hanging under the wall mounted TV. And the furnishings were what you’d find in a Goodwill store. The positive comments are super nice staff and great location.

The area is busy in a good way. Lots to see. Shopping , dinning, pubs, live music, waterfront walkway.

This hotel is well located near the Inner Harbor and the Parliament Buildings. The rooms are quirky. Our room was a bit unusual. There was no sink in the bathroom, rather in the main room with no mirror. The floors were uneven and it was uncomfortable to walk on. The staff was welcoming and helpful in dining and transportation suggestions.

Great location, right in the heart of Victoria action. The hotel had a small, designated space indoors to lock our bikes for the night, which was really great. Rooms were good

The hotel is not worth the price. Location is prob the best thing it has going for it. The bed was hard as a rock. The bathroom roor has holes in it. There is no onsite parking, you have to walk blocks, which is not disclosed on the website or Expedia. The 1950s era AC in the window doesn't work well. There's an awkward chair in a tiny room. The pics make the room look larger than it is. The carpet needs replacing, and I have no idea why there is a kitchen cooktop in this room but it doesn't come with pans to cook with. So weird. Wish I'd stayed elsewhere. The seagulls are extremely loud as well. Horrible stay. At least they had an elevator

We had stayed at the Bedford Regency in the past and enjoyed it for its quaint decor and excellent location. This stay was a surprising disappointment as they seem to be trying to install some kind of miniature cooking set-ups in even the smallest room. The room we were given did not even have a sink in the bathroom. Instead there was a mini kitchen sink and hot plate, but no other kitchen supplies, opposite the bed. The staff was able to give us a different room but we had to pay extra. Very disappointed.

The Bad:
Hotel was definitely not what i expected for the price i paid. Average 400/night, bed was old and felt like i was on springs, the heater vent in the extremely small bathroom was falling off, the shower was barely big enough for 1, we were in a room with a kitchenette?(had a hotplate) there were no utensils or pots and pans, the first night (made the mistake of booking 2 nights and when i tried to cancel the 2nd night i was rudely denied) i might as well have been above an old bar the music from the bar downstairs was pumping bass till 1:30am, there was no housekeeping service and to top it off there was a mouse running around the lobby as it raced us up the stairs the 2nd night we were there. I was not impressed so didnt even take 1 photo of the room!
The Good
Location was great! Right downtown on government street.
