The room was clean and roomy.
It was a nice convenient one story hotel.
The grounds were pretty and staff friendly.
The beds were just so uncomfortable no us but we can’t do firm beds. I also did not like that they charge for parking

Everyone was so helpful and accommodating throughout my whole stay. I even used their barbq a couple times!

Checking in clerk had a problem with her computer. I notice a double bill pending for a 1 night stay. I will follow up I am not charged twice. I thought tissue was no longer given will all the cut backs in cleaning every 3rd day now but when I got fresh towels from one of the girls I saw a box and asked for it. Upset that parking is now charged. Should be informed online prior to booking. Everyone hates surprise fees

Okay no frills, clean and affordable place to stay one night for a golf trip. Convenient lication, good shower, comfortable bed. Got great price, so worth it. Did charge $10 for parking, which is new.

The parking fee wasnt mentioned in the resevation. The parking spots are too small to let you open your doors. The rooms are to small to accommidate a queen bed. Overall its like a Motel 6 with a fancy name.

The stay was ok but to much noise how in the hell you charge for parking never stay here again

The hotel wasn’t the best but also not the worst. In the Monterey area this is my least favorite hotel that I have stayed at. Inside the room our bed had blood on the blankets and then blood on the towels that were “clean.” I’m not one to complain but blood is a hazard. The staff did bring us fresh blankets, sheets, and towels.

Everything about this place was great except for one thing. Management refused to do anything about the diesel truck that was extremely loud every morning I was there at 0500 hours.

The little motel was nice with parking right in front of your room. There is a hidden $10 a night parking fee.
My review get 2 stars solely on the comfort alone. The room was nice, but the bed was by far the most uncomfortable hard slab I’ve ever slept on. I woke up throughout the night trying to get comfortable and woke up in the morning with back pain both days. This place would be great if they had a bed you could sleep on.

The lot was empty and the hotel manager could not let me check in early. It was some lady with an accent and with a nasty attitude. She said there would be a $25 fee. So I just came back later. That’s not how to treat a repeat customer.

It is a nice place to stay. Clean and friendly. It is close to the tourist locations but away from the crowds.

Great staff, great customer service.

It was an affordable clean room. The only distraction was that the door next door felt like it was opening into our room each time it was used

The room was very small. The bed was very hard. There is very little parking. We had to use the overflow parking lot. The girl at the front desk, the maids were very nice. The online registration and checkout was convenient. But the room was so small. It is very far down from the beach. It is one of the farthest of all the motels in the motel on the strip of motels. It is not very convenient.

We really enjoyed staying at the Inn at 1252! It was a last minute booking and was pleasantly surprised by the coziness and cleanliness of the room and the general establishment. It was a great break from the heat of the valley. There was an extra $10 +tax parking charge, which was not disclosed in the booking but we would stay again!

Bathrooms were not clean and the mattresses were terrible. For $250 per night, a decent mattress would have been appreciated.

They charge $10 for parking. The parking spots are really tight.
The king bed room is small, like the size of a house extra bedroom. The bathroom is big but the shower is kinda award to get into.
The area us really quiet at night, no complaints about noise.
My two problems are the bathroom room door is a sliding door that has gaps so you can hear everything inside. Second that dang door again is a foggy clear door so you can see the silhouette of the lerson on the toilet. Also because of the clear door the sun shines right through it into the room, making it really bright in the morning.
Second the tv, after 11 they play adult movies, I was flipping through channels with my daughter next to me, luckily I changed it in time but she heard. So monitor the tv at night.
Nice location, there is a shopping center across the street with a whole foods, movies and restaurants, the beach is a straight shot down the road.

Shower in the bathroom doesn’t properly drain causing water to leak all across the bathroom floor. Wi-Fi wasn’t working the entire trip which normally wouldn’t be an issue but the motel is a dead spot so didn’t have service a majority time in the room. Limited cable options and the cable went out for an hour as well.Walls and floor are super thin so you can hear every door opening and closing and hear every step above you ( stayed on the first floor ). Only benefit is the cheap price and close location to Monterey bay aquarium and fisherman’s wharf but the stay itself isn’t enjoyable

The bed was quite uncomfortable, and the in-room refrigerator was not functioning properly, resulting in the spoilage of food items that were stored within. Additionally, the shower was not suitable for children.

Very nice. Hidden fees on parking. Thin walls. But all in all, a good place

Very good condition rooms and the outside grounds look very nice. Personnel very friendly. I would go there again.

The Inn at 1252 was okay - not great. The room was extremely small (we had a King Bed room). Walls and windows are not insulated and there is a lot of loud noise ie: people taking showers, moving around, taking luggage in and out and doors closing loudly from other rooms was very annoying and disturbed our sleep as people were leaving in the early morning hours - not muffled at all. The TV channels were minimal.

We had a great stay at 1252. My daughter and I were in town for the Races as we come out every year. The room was luckily available last minute as we cancelled our hotel from another location that was horrible. The rooms and property were clean and staff was friendly. I would recommend this location.
The mall was just across the street, walking distance to open shopping mall with lots to do. 10 minute ride to Canary Row and the Warf.
The 1252 Inn was also close to the freeway. You can get on and off the freeway and be right at your room in under 5 minute's for sure.

I will take this out of my list when I go back to Monterey.
The room smells like the California Mission. We always visit missions in California and that's exactly how it smells. The microwave glass plate won't rotate, fridge's shelves were missing and showerhead is clogged up and very hard to adjust . You can't get cell signal though not the hotel's fault but a reliable wifi will be helpful if it's working but not at all. The outside looks pretty well maintained but not the inside so be wary. Check the fine print since they charge $10 per day of your stay.

Did not like the room, too small.

The property is clean and beautiful from the outside but the room was not properly clean, their was some left over food next to the bed from the previous guest that was not removed we sow a medication pill on the floor
in the room. the fact that they the caffe station settled inside the bathroom is discusting.

Expecting bigger rooms. The parking lot was set up weird. Unfortunately the front staff checking in and out wasn’t very friendly. The guy who was on the night shift was much nicer. It serves it purpose for just sleeping but you really can’t bring much luggage or hang out in the rooms. Had a 2 double bed room.

Nice room. Good service and good free coffee in the reception.

Overall good. For the price I was expecting something a little more modern, but when looking around, all the hotels in the area have the same look and feel. The convenience of being close to shopping and food (within walking distance) was hard to beat. My wife was happy with the booking and that makes all the difference.

I recently stayed at 1252 and had an overall pleasant experience until check-out. Unfortunately, the female receptionist rudely informed me that I would be charged a late fee for being less than 30 minutes past the check-out time. The manner in which this was communicated was unprofessional and dismissive. As a frequent traveler, I understand the importance of adhering to policies, but I also expect courteous and respectful service. This encounter left a negative impression and detracted from an otherwise enjoyable stay. I hope the management addresses this issue to ensure better customer service in the future. Please also be reminded there are few rooms required to walk down by stairs. We were only informed while checking in.

Great clean comfortable. Nice property

Overall good. Surprised when arrived early to find out they charge $25 for early check in. Soap dispenser in shower did not work but was resolved.
4.0
The room was VERY small. The room darkening shades didn’t overlap when closed, allowing outside people a view of the inside. The air conditioner blew air directly onto the bed. The bed pillows, all four of them, were the smallest ever.
The bathroom was actually large considering the overall room size.
The coffee maker was very slow. Needs to be upgraded to a Kuereg-type.
