This hotel is wonderful. The food is amazing, and there is a nice beach just 5 minutes walk away.
4.7
Overall, a great experience!
The level of service across all property is fantastic. Probably one of the best I have experienced in any large chain hotel in Spain. The room is comfortable and clean. There is direct access to small beach just in front of the hotel. We really appreciated the access to the more quiet adult-only pool.
For an all-inclusive, food was OK. We tried all food options, and the Mediterranean restaurant was our favorite for both lunch and dinner (you need reservation for dinner). The buffet for both lunch and dinner is average at best. The a la carte breakfast at the reserve is excellent!!! We also enjoyed the Peruvian restaurant, and their cocktails were the best we had all week.
The area is quiet, and there is not much to do outside the hotel. There is a walkable path that takes you all the way to Playa del Inglés and Maspalomas dunes. It takes around an hour.
Overall, we enjoyed our stay in Paradisus Gran Canaria, specially the great service of all the employees. We would love to come back in the future.

Excellent Staff, Exquisite Facilities, Clean and Great Food!

This hotel is unreal, 5 stars through and through. The food and drinks are to such a high standard, we couldnt actually believe the food of this standard was all inclusive!
All areas of the hotel, from pool to bars, to restaurants and the room were clean, luxurious and modern. We had one week here and honestly we would love to come back.
A special mention to Jamie behind the bar at The Shack who went out of his way to make sure they had fresh orange for our drinks. He was fantastic and very friendly.
Thanks to the entertainment team, especially those working on Saturday 11th May at the Cinema under the Stars. They couldn’t do enough to make it a perfect evening.
I cannot fault this hotel in any area, all staff have been friendly, welcoming, and simply cannot do enough for you☀️🌴🍍🥥🍉

Really great stay, I went last year when they had first opened and there was a few teething problems then which has now been ironed out.
All the staff have been absolutely wonderful, from the guys that run the events, room attendants, bar and restaurant staff, they always have a smile on their face and will help you with anything you may need
The food was great too, you'd think that a buffet would be meh and cold, but a majority of it was well seasoned and cooked infront of you make sure you get freshly cooked food, the variations of dishes was well rounded, I highly recommend doing the buffet on a Sunday of you enjoy fresh seafood as there, if you are looking for Spainish food, then I suggest checking out Kana by the pool for lunch or dinner as the menus change!
Loved the room, I was eyeing the rooms on the 1st floor with the massive balcony and day beds the last time I visited, so naturally I stayed there this time, the size of the room was perfect, as a couple we didnt need the biggest room as most of our time would be outside, however we really did utilize the balcony space during sunrised and susets!
All in all, it was an amazing vacation and I plan on visiting again!

Absolutely fantastic stay. Couldnt have asked for more. All the food options were amazing and staff were friendly throughout. Lovely area and nice to be able to walk out on to the promenade and walk along the beachfront.

We stayed for one week at Paradisus Gran Canaria. It was a beautiful and well maintained hotel. The food was good, but having to request your meal to be cooked by the chef each night, did seem to produce a bit of a "bottleneck " at times. Overall we had a great week.

An exceptional hotel with amazingly friendly staff. Easy access to the beach too. The food was varied and very enjoyable. Thank you

The property was excellent, there is room for improvement and we fed that back directly to the Hotel.
I will send my feedback regarding the service from Expedia separately.

Service level depends on the person of the reception.

Spacious room. Nice staff. Excellent breakfast. Lots of activities available in the hotel. Our stay was great!

Lovely breakfast
Very friendly helpful staff
Rooms were great

A superb hotel with lovely grounds snd pool area well served by a good cafe/bar. Wonderfully varied menu in a grest dining room. Second visit - will visit again!

We believe all inclusive should mean all inclusive. Only one choice of white wine offered (tasted vinegary) amazed when presented our bill on leaving to find charges for kit-kit and drinks from the bar in our room and for a smoothie from the beach bar. No prior indication that these were not included.

We visited the hotel in 2005 for a friends wedding and decided to return for a short break in 2019.
Unfortunately the hotel needs extensive renovation and desperately showing its age. Occupancy levels were low and the All Inclusive arrangements were below expectations.
Staff were very friendly but let down by the hotel itself, we expected more and reliant on the brand but were left a little disappointed with the overall experience.

This hotel is advertised as 5*, unfortunately it reminded me more of a 3* 1980s package hotel! Poor impression on arrival with a vacuous reception area lacking furniture. The guest room was in urgent need of a refurb (same as the rest5 of the hotel.
On check in the extremely polite gent seemed to be more intent on confusing us with a meal-combination which HAD to be booked immediately (or at latest end of day). It would have been nicer to be given a brochure and at least a night to contemplate the pros and cons.
I'm a frequent visitor to Melia Hotels, but this was not up to the usual standard.
*Breakfast buffet was good*

We stayed a week in this hotel and it is a nice place to visit. Especially the food and the aqua gymnastics were good. I appreciated they had an observatory and I enjoyed playing squash, tennis and mini-golf. The pool is also good.
One thing was not appreciated however. We had half board, so the dinner was included, but not the drinks. That is normal and the restaurant staff comes to the table and asks you what you want to drink and then they simply add it on the bill. You pay when you leave the hotel, which is convenient. They don’t mention the price, but who cares, it is only some few drinks per night. But, when I looked at the bill after checkout I was surprised. Apparently, they have charged 12.80 Euro (and also 14 Euro) per each glass of house wine you drink. One glass, 14 Euro! No, it was not the bottle and no, it was not a special wine. (They poured the wine from a half empty bottle, so no, they didn’t save this bottle only for us and the water was 2,75 Euro per person per bottle, so the prices are probably this hefty). It is no the amount of money I paid for it that I am disappointed at, (my hotel room and my trip was a lot more). It is just the principle of such hefty prices and no information of it. Also these prices are in Spain, where wine, in my opinion, is cheap.
4.7
The staff were all friendly and helpful and the hotel was posh. The buffet meals were excellent.
The evening entertainment was a bit hit or miss, no big deal.
4.7
Room was perfect. Pool was nice and the spa was really good. Would stay here again.

Stayed here last week in August 2019 for an all inclusive week away with my mum. The holiday itself was very relaxing but the hotel and particularly the food was ‘average’. The all inclusive was a buffet each day for breakfast, lunch and dinner, with a pool bar. I have to say the drinks available on all inclusive at the bar were good (cocktails, prosecco, wine, beer etc) but the food got very boring after a week! There was pretty much the same thing every day, some not tasty. They did a few themed nights which one of the chefs did a great job at (sushi, stir fry) but generally it was average. We went for the all inclusive but not the ‘level’ access which was really confusing when booking with Expedia. They got access to a different part of the pool (just sunbeds but no pool I believe) and another restaurant but I couldn’t see any other noticeable differences for the price. We were lucky enough to be in the end room (432) so had views of the sea and the lovely breeze which was a god send since there’s no air con in the rooms! Couldn’t believe that when we turned up! If we hadn’t had that breeze we’d have struggled in the stiflingly hot room! The staff were average, a few waiters made an effort at meal times but overall slow service with taking dirty plates away and almost made to feel like we were putting them out for asking for another drink! It was unclear if the water provided was bottled or tap and I got different answers from different people. Overall an average stay!

The outdoor facilities was nice and the staff handeling us outside was professional. However the airconditon on both mine and my daughters room didn`t work and plastic under the sheets (sheets for not wet the bed). In a five star hotel this is terrible!! And I paid for kingsize bed but got 2 older sprincle-beds put togeather. When I ask about changing the second day, they said It would be fixed...nothing happened in 14 days.
Food was good, but be aware - they charge you a lot more if you don`t have all inclusive. The invoice is not saying spesific what they charged, so difficult to prove the other way. I didn`t got any help or refund, even if we just had 1 meal (lunch for 3 persons) and 1 peanut and 1 chocolate from the minibar (238 euro).
I have been to many 5 stars hotels, and this is by far the worst experience....even if the outdoor arena and the food was nice! Give them 2 out of 5, and that`s generous!
4.7
Its by the beach and has a good breakfast selection. The restaurant is pretty big.
The hotel itself is very dated and could do with a major renovation. Not suitable at all for young couples/families and certainly not business travellers. The service was probably the worse I've experienced in a hotel of this class. The staff were rude and although my Spanish is shaky they were talking about my complaints in Spanish to each other. This hotel puts a Euro charge for charity on your bill without informing you. They also tried to charge me for multiple items from the mini bar - I only put things in there! The bar is awful and the drinks pretty much watered down - go out of this hotel for a decent food and drink selection. All in all one of the worst hotels I've stayed in and I'm never going back, even if my work pays for it!
4.7
Beautiful, well-maintained grounds. Excellent daily 'keep fit' activities. No soap provided in room and Euro2.50 for a small bottle of water at dinner were biggest niggles.
4.7
Not enough staff around and dated property stuck in the 1980s. Staff are not friendly probably due to overwork but clearly are also more comfortable with Spanish rather than English guests. Lots needs to be done to make this a real 5 star experience
4.7
Not a 5 star hotel, very dated. Food very bland.
4.7
Hotel is now quite dated. We upgraded to a level room. Our room was tiny for three people and the air con didn't work. (Room 523) we reported it to reception. Club lounge was okay - mainly drinks and no food and not enough seating outside. Now elsewhere. Would avoid and will contact. Overall very disappointed having stayed before

- Room smelled
- Situated over a parking lot
- Huge fen outside on the parkeing lot making lots of noice
- Wanted to write down full credit cards details manually for deposit. Are we back in the 90ies? Makes no sense in is huge risk. Had to leave EUR 100 as deposit. When trying to retrive the cash, they said that it was all spent on the minibar. That's a lot of water. When arguing, they got offensive and aggressive and tossed 3 Euros back at me in 20 cent coins. Nice gesture!

We had a very enjoyable holiday at the Tamarindos and we will return to this hotel.
4.7
We really enjoyed the break for 5days in this hotel, which had a wonderful atmosphere and friendly staff and I would go back at first opportunity as the location and facilities were all brilliant
4.7
Really expect more from "5stars". Wake up call on the wrong day. Room keys wrong. Mediocre and unprofessional massage. Management needs to tighten up.
4.7
The pool area is gorgeous... very spacious and nice - but that's about all. Beach is nice... not much else in the area - you need to to drive or cab to go anywhere. The rooms are extremely dated and not very nice. Service is adequate
4.7
Absolutely amazing from entering the hotel and receive top notch service to staying in very clean rooms, excellent food, beautiful garden, very nice daily programs, great pool, and top cleanliness everywhere. Would strongly recommend it. Only missing kettle in the rooms.
4.7
Lack of restaurants. ..on 2......room bathrooms weren't clean up standard. ....the beach was scarey .....like swiming in black water......
4.7

Average hotel, not much atmosphere in the evenings.

Rooms too small for the price paid. Breakfast good. Gardens and pool areas very nice.
4.7
The hotel location is very good, the hotel gardens are large and lovely to walk around.
Bus service outside the hotel are excellent to all locations south and south west of Gran Canaria
No car needed

I would love to meet the people who decide the standard of Spanish hotels. The hotel is tired, scruffy, in serious needs of a make over.
The check in is unbelievably long. I grew a beard by the time I checked in. There is a serious lack of staff.
The breakfast is ok but repetitive. The male waiters are "grumpy " and not curious.
The rooms are not like advised in the brochure.
Wall paper torn and hanging off the walls.
Dirty grouting round tiles, bad lighting in bathroom.
The first room we were offered had no outlook at all of the sea.We did complain but it didn't get us anywhere.
I would not recommend this hotel to anyone.
