Our check in was fast and friendly. Room was a bit small but very doable. The breakfast was great which even had some salad items. Good selection of juices and coffees. Checkout also very friendly. We are returning in 3 nights. Good deal all around!

Lovely hotel and within a few minutes walk from the harbour. Metro Vieux Port exit is a couple of minutes from the Hotel entrance. Staff extremely friendly and helpful. Room was very comfortable. Buffet breakfast had a nice variety of food, really good quality and serviced by a lovely friendly lady. Would definitely stay here again as and when in Marseille.

Great location. Small rooms, just enough space to move around. Friendly staff
4.1
We only stayed here for one night. The hotel is simple but right in the middle of everything. The staff were very helpful. Would recommend if you are not looking for a lot of amenities but still was to be next to the port area.
4.1
An amazing place, staff really helpful and knowledgeable. Everyone was friendly. The hotel was in easy reach of everything. Shops, cafes and restaurants within easy reach.

Great location

The hotel is right where you want it to be - close to the port, Metro, restaurants and other attractions.

The staff were super friendly and helpful. I was on the top floor so the elevator is a huge bonus. I had a nice view of the port. Room was small but had everything you would need. Hotel is well located, 1 minute walk and you are in the heart of Old Port. Right next to 2 metro stations. Would definitely stay here again

This property was very clean. The staff was fabulous and the location couldn’t have been better. Would highly recommend this hotel to my friends and family

Recommend this hotel. The staff were super friendly. Great location that's a 1min walk from the Ports & 2min walk from the nearest Metro station (which is ideal for getting to & from the train station or airport). The room was clean and pretty standard. Breakfast had a great selection.Having to leave the key at the front deak everytime you come & go was a littler annoying but it's done to prevent the loss of keys and was the only set back.

nice staff, good breakfast, walkable to many restaurants but noisy at night if the window is open

clean and well maintained.

Very kind and helpful staff. Room was very clean. Walkable to the port and restaurants, and not very far from the train station. Thanks!

Clean room. We had a double room and the bed was large but the room very small. Comfortable though and pleasant experience. Staff were all friendly and helped us with local queries.

I wanted to like this place. Lobby was uninviting, at check in you’re told if you leave the hotel you need to hand back your physical key. Weird. Not a proper shower head, just handheld, or a bath. The ladies making breakfast were lovely.
4.1
My room was a bit cramped, and had only one very small window. The AC worked, but barely.
The breakfast room was laid out poorly with everyone funneled into a corner for food and coffee. Long wait in lines for both coffee and food. Skip and go to o e of the many nearby cafes.

Loud music vibrates through the bed head wall for hours from the next door hotel. Room 205.
Advertised as “all rooms have air conditioning” but the switch on the wall is not connected. Room temperature was about 12 degrees.

The room was a 'superior'room that was tiny and nothing like the images on the website or app. It was dirty, smelled of sweat and was the worst room we have had in over 20 yrs of travels. The window looked out onto a brick wall and ventilation shaft, nor quite the 'superior' room view as advertised. For the first time in 20yrs we couldn't stay in this room and the hotel response was a simple, " nothing we can do". If expensive and dirty is your thing this stay here, if not then avoid!!

I really liked the professionalism of the workers, that the hotel was very clean and the location was very close to restaurants, shops and especially the cruise port.

Great hotel in a lovely location. I had a balcony room which was well presented with good bathroom/shower facilities and I would happily stay here again.
4.1
Great location, with everything you need at your doorstep. Port and metro just steps away. The hotel is modern, clean and staff incredibly friendly and helpful. Thoroughly recommend a stay here.

Best location possible, only missing a port view. Well worth the money. Staff were awesome, went above and beyond for all inquiries.

All good. Excellent breakfast served by a lovely lady. Very nice staff on reception. Central location.

Bad Management-Very Disorganized Staff
The staff is not well trained when it comes to recording if you made a reservation for breakfast or not. When you reserve the day before, they forget that you did and embarrass you in front of people asking you repeatedly if you did make a reservation. Fatima, the lady at the breakfast buffet, is extremely rude and condescending. They expect you to have breakfast everyday in their facility and will try to charge you even when you never made a reservation. It is much more pleasant to have breakfast at a café outside of the hotel than in their boring room on the first floor. They lack honesty and integrity. Very bad management. I have never experienced such lack of professionalism.

The front desk staff were great when I checked in. Friendly and helpful, and able to loan me a travel adapter seeing as I forgot to pack mine!

The staff were very friendly and attentive. We had an amazing stay.

I booked this hotel based on its location and air conditioning, but to my disappointment, it turned out that the hotel did not have air conditioning. Instead, they had a central fan system. The most frustrating part was that the staff insisted that they did have air conditioning.
When we arrived, the receptionist informed us that they were undergoing maintenance on the air conditioning system, which explained why it wasn't working. Our room was located on the top floor, and we could see the maintenance work being carried out. To summarize, this property did not have a functional air conditioning system.
We contacted Expedia, and they attempted to move us to another room. Unfortunately, the hotel was fully booked, and our room was specifically designed for three people, which limited our options, as such rooms are not widely available in most hotels in France. The worst part was that I had booked a five-night stay during June, which is summer time with high temperatures.
The next day, the hotel's solution was to provide us with three fans, one for each person. We decided to endure the discomfort and left the hotel early in the morning, only returning late at night. Although the management was understanding, their only resolution was to provide us with fans.
If you plan to stay at this hotel, I would strongly advise against visiting during the summer months. Otherwise, this experience turned out to be a nightmare due to the lack of air conditioning.

A basic hotel with small rooms in a good location right in the middle of the vieux port.
4.1
We reserved the 'superior' room thinking that it was better than a regular room. The room had almost no natural light with a view of the back of the other building. Not nice. The mattress protector did not fit the bed and kept on coming off. The bottles in the shower of gel and shampoo were empty and lastly the glasses that they left for you to use were plastic and dirty.

The servive was great front desk and breakfast room perfect

Near to the Old Port

Being at the heart of Vieux Port, this hotel provides excellent access to public transportation. The metro is right at the corner. Need a taxi? They call and the cab would come within 5min. Sight-seeing bus, train, and boats are 5-minute walk away, too. The hotel is very clean with a modern feel. Staff are attentive and helpful. Yet the rates are reasonable. It’s an excellent choice (I cannot say the same things about the one I’m staying at right now in Nice). I’d definitely be back!

I stayed in the Vieux Carré Hôtel in May, 2023. Paid 104 € per night. I stayed four nights. Hotel was very clean, very nice. And you couldn’t hope for a better location. I came to Marseille a few days before boarding a cruise. I would be very happy to stay here again.

This is a great little hotel. The location is superb, close to most of the tourist sites, only 15 min walk from the train station.
Breakfast buffet was wonderful: fresh juice, scrambled eggs, French bread, cheese, ham, fresh fruit, yogurt, chocolate croissants, and coffee, of course . . .
The room was smaller than in most American hotels; travelers wanting a lot of space in their room to hang out should stay somewhere else. There was a very small desk & chair with an electric kettle, a small bedside table, and a queen-size bed. The bathroom had shower only, no tub.
I got a room with a balcony, and you can see the old port. I suspect that rooms without a balcony do not have a view (unless you hang out the window and look sideways).
The staff were very helpful.
