This is the second time we have stayed at Angels Share and would thoroughly recommend the hotel. Excellent room, staff very friendly. We had dinner, food very good as was breakfast. Would stay here again
4.3
Rooms little tired looking and very warm and beds to firm
4.3
Great venue and location. Easy walking to major attractions and plenty of drinking and dining options in area, but chose to eat in dining room and food was sensational…one of the best meals during our UK trip.

The staff were very friendly and responsive to any needs. Location was great. The room fell short of expectations vs the great quality of the staff. The room was very warm even with a fan, the decor was visually nice but not functional. We had steps in the middle of our small room and the first night I forgot and tripped going from the bed to the bathroom so we kept bathroom light on for the remaining of the visit so we did not trip in the middle of the night. The bathroom sink very small had to put toiletries on the floor. To get in and out of shower had to step over taller tub. Issue if you are shorter. If you grab on glass to get out it swings and the only other place to grab is a heated towel bar with sign not to grab. We made sure it was off so we could safely get in and out of the shower. Armoir for clothes had no shelves and the hangers went from front to back not left to right. The other shelves had items on them. The functionality could be easily updated to make a longer stay much more comfortable. It’s ok for a couple of nights but would not recommend for longer stay without some functionality updates. We had a good time.

What you should ask is how to improve it. The beds were ok. Bedding would be much better if top sheet was separate from duvay. Reason, for those who are hot sleepers, there is no option but to take the Duvay off. We didn’t sleep well because we could not control the bedding.

No air conditioning during the heat wave

Just a really fantastic little hotel. Every staff member is super sweet and kind, and the hotel has a great atmosphere, and room we got, Sean Connery, was somewhat large and spacious with high ceilings. Great place.

The location was great, right off of Princes Street and near public transportation. The price was reasonable and it got the job done for one night before leaving. I wouldn't stay again though and I wouldn't stay for longer. The room was hot even with the fan on. There was a large floor-to-ceiling window at the foot of the bed with frosted glass but no curtain, meaning that even in the middle of the night, the ambient city light was too bright, not to mention when the sun rose in the morning. The room wasn't too loud despite the central location but the seagulls definitely woke me up in the morning even with my earplugs. I nearly tripped in the middle of the night trying to get to the bathroom because I forgot about the three low stairs that separated the bedroom area of the room from the front entrance and the bathroom. I liked that each room was themed around a different famous Scot, but the giant pictures of their face over the bed was a little off-putting. Good for a quick stay in a pinch.

Good location. Alley was very noisy early in the mornings and woke us up. Bed was comfortable
4.3
Location is good for linking between the New & Old Towns. The outside & inside decor gives a chic friendly feel, as do the staff. One thing to be aware of, as with any Boutique hotel, no function rooms, so if the foyer or bar are rented out you will loose access to them as we did for 2 of our 3 nights. We had a Deluxe room, very spacious & well stocked. But a broken door handle and broken flooring spoiled it. Overall we liked and would recommend it.

Elevator didn't go above second floor. Closed part of hotel for private party. Incredibly loud seagulls early in the morning. Nice bar and comfortable beds. Friendly staff. Very helpful. Good location.
4.3
Great hotel in the thick of everything. Excellent customer service sets it apart.
4.3
Nice place with central location
4.3
The hotel is a bit tired and needs some proper TLC. Staff did their best but lacked support
4.3
Good location on the edge of new town and old town, restaurant was excellent, room was small but very clean. Overall excellent choice, staff were very helpful.
4.3
This is a cool boutique hotel in a very convenient location.
4.3
Excellent location , small but comfortable room with all the usual facilities. Nice bar downstairs and the cooked breakfast was great.
4.3
Good location, clean rooms and excellent service!

On arrival, the reception area had been given over to a private function - a very large and noisy group of women celebrating together.
In the midst of this I was expected to register 12 golfers complete with their luggage and golf bags - it was so noisy the process was impossible and NOT a good first impression
there was absolutely no space to do the check in process - it was dreadful
4.3
Staff are unbelievable friendly and professional. Hotel is beautiful with a great bar and restaurant. The location is amazing.

We had a wonderful experience at the Angels Share hotel and we will definitely be booking here again next time we visit Edinburgh
4.3
It was a beautiful hotel and bar, but the bed just wasn't particularly comfortable, and the GIANT Paolo Nutini picture in such a small room was a bit creepy!
4.3
Excellent location great boutique hotel!

We only stayed one night in the hotel but can thoroughly recommend it. Beautiful rooms, friendly staff and great atmosphere in the bar/restaurant. The food (dinner) was excellent. Great location, only 5 mins walk from West End tram stop and 2 mins walk from Princes Street Gardens. Highly recommended.

Nice hotel

The hotel´s location is very good with a popular bar on the first floor, The bar plays fairly loud music until 01.00 AM most days. As I had a room on the first floor it was dificult to sleep until after 01.00AM
The hotel is otherwise OK but nothing special and somewhat overpriced.

Near Johnnie Walker, Princes Gardens and the New Town West End areas of Edinburgh. We only stayed for one night but would stay again

Great rooms. Great location. Really nice bar area for drinks. Highly recommend staying here.

I'm not sure if the room we had was worth the money we paid for it. The electrics were odd in the room: You could only turn the bathroom light on when the large room light was on, making nighttime trips to the bathroom impossible.
The tempur mattress topped was too thick, making us wake up every time we needed to roll over.
The shower had poor water pressure and was dirty.
We also arrived back at our hotel at 10.45pm and had to cut through the very busy bar to get to our room as the hotel entrance was closed. I wish I had known that information ahead of time.
Service was good however. But not convinced the hotel itself is a 4*. It's more of a 3*

Nice hotel, would stay again.

Location and room great
4.3
Great hotel, interesting style, all the rooms named after famous Scots.
The bar looked amazing and there was often a guitarist/singer.
Huge range of drinks and a roast beef dinner to die for!
4.3
Was a nice hotel but not as nice as I anticipated. Room wasn't ready for check in time so had to wait, which was not too much hassle but room looked like it was very quickly cleaned, lots of dust on floor around bed and in bathroom, looked like it hadn't been hoovered in a while. Pubic hair in bath also. Very load noise most of the stay in room for to external ventilation. Overall a pleasant hotel but probably wouldn't return.
4.3
The room was small but very clean. The staff was wonderful. Food and drinks excellent!

I had an early flight on Sunday Feb 18th. The room next door had a full party and sing song from 1am until 3am. I emailed reception to resolve it and demanded a refund for 1 of 2 nights stay considering nothing was done to resolve it. I have yet to hear from the hotel manager.
4.3
Great hotel. Lovely staff. Room was clean if a little tired but overall would stay again
