About this cottage rental
The Creek House & Campsite: A Tapestry of History, Nature, and Adventure
Tucked away on the banks of Chamokane Creek lies the Creek House, a living relic of history and a testament to nature's undying allure. Spread across 6 verdant acres and dotted with the resonances of a time long past, this estate is a gateway to both tranquil respite and spirited adventure.
Historical Grandeur:
The Creek House's Legacy: Erected in 1912, this enchanting house was once a bunkhouse for the builders of the Long Lake Dam. Relocated to Chamokane Creek in 1974, it now offers three spacious bedrooms, a fully-equipped kitchen, and a contemporary bathroom. It promises a seamless blend of the old-world charm with today's comforts.
Embrace Nature:
Boundless Greens: The vast lawn, punctuated by a lively firepit, becomes a hub for celebrations, quiet readings, or nighttime stargazing. Without the intrusion of city lights, the stars unveil their full splendor here.
Whispers of Nature: The front porch invites you to sit and lose yourself in the calming murmurs of the creek, chirps of the birds, and the rustle of leaves.
Adventures Await:
Vast Expanses: The neighboring Lake Spokane recreation area, multiple lakes, and the Spokane river make every day a new adventure.
Happy Meadows: A hop, skip, and jump away, either by foot through the woods or a quick car ride.
Hiker's Paradise: With adjacent state and federal lands stretching out, explorers have miles of nature to traverse.
Disc Golf: Try your hand at our 9-hole disc golf course, challenging yet fun for all levels.
Sustainability & Restoration: We're deeply committed to preserving and enhancing the natural beauty and historical essence of the Creek House and its surroundings. Major restoration efforts have been underway. Although recent Google satellite imagery may show remnants of the past, today, it stands rejuvenated and free from past clutter.
A Gentle Note: As we continue enhancing the Creek House experience, there will be a subsequent rate increase upon completion.
Join us at the Creek House & Campsite. Whether you're seeking a peaceful retreat, a fun-filled getaway, or a dive into history, we promise an unforgettable journey.

Unfortunately we had to leave early due to someone being sick, but the property was overall good, the cabin was not very well portrayed in the photos in my opinion. The front deck was rotted, the walls in some of the bedrooms were patch work drywall, and the AC was just a small unit in the smallest bedroom so the house wasn't very cool. The neighbors property was relatively close to the cabin and their property was very messy. Overall, the host was very nice, but the house wasn't great.

It's obviously a work in progress but it feels so homey.

We took a family trip up to the spokane area and were lucky to find this great cottage! The host was great and very helpful thoughtout our trip. He met us to give the key and gave great recommendations for the area.
We were expecting it to be closer to town but it is a decent drive to spokane. At first we were concerned as we had our dogs and couldn't leave them to get food but there are some small towns with a couple places to eat and they were very welcoming of our dogs and there is a kitchen at the cottage that we used a couple of times. The fire pit was a great as well for hotdogs and marshmallows. Our kids and dogs enjoyed the large yard to play in and the neighbors were sweet.
The early mornings on the porch watching all the beautiful hummingbirds all around the house, the smell after the rain and the cute little hiking trails around the area just added to our experience!
We will be recommending this place to our friends and family and would be happy to rebook in the future!

Very beautiful property, Comfy beds and a big fire pit. This was a wonderful place to get away from the city. Service is touchy but there is wifi. Plus our dog got to enjoy this adventure with us.

Loved the out of the way atmosphere and the true disconnect you are allowed out there. Loved the home feel and the house has the classic out in the woods feel.
Will go back again if Dana allowes us and hopefully get to spend more time.
Would recommend Dana's home!
