What a great experience! Truly worth a visit! Maria is so sweet and accommodating.

Fantastic, amazing place. Nothing to fault. It was a delight to stay here in every respect.

Maria Theresa was an amazing host. There is nothing like this stay at home in Canada. The village is tiny, you need a car to access this property. Very rustic, our apartment was in a building from the 1500’s. Don’t expect a modern experience, soak in the history and heritage from this amazing place!

Fiumefreddo is an absolutely hidden Jen. It is as if you took a 500 year old town, frozen it in time, and didn’t tell anybody about it. You can walk this little town for hours and get lost in its mazes of ancient homes. Not many of them have been renovated, but, it’s slowly happening and hopefully continues to preserve this time capsule of a town.
This apartment was great with three huge bedrooms that each have their own bathroom, with a communal area as the kitchen. The only thing it’s missing is a communal hangout room with a couch and comfortable furniture. However, each bedroom has a television , if you want to unwind.
The apartment is perfectly renovated in a very very old building, which has so much Character!
Theresa is amazing, not only and how fast she can run up and down her little town, but she took care of us for breakfast in the other building, run and owned by the same people down a little further into the town. And that building is just absolutely fantastic, essentially, a museum of perfect preservation.
I almost feel like I should not leave a good review about this town because selfishly I’d like to keep it unknown! However, the world deserves to see it & my heritage for many generations has lived in it & around it in the surrounding hillsides.
You can walk up into the mountains and be in the woods or down to the beach and go swimming in the sea!

What a magical location, only to be matched by the extraordinary beauty of this property.
I felt Like I had been transported, way back in time with the authentic restoration of this lovely palazzo. We were going to use this B&B as our hub for two days, we had planned on driving around some other towns in the surrounding areas.
Soon as we entered through the magical front door, we didn’t leave, other than to explore this ancient mediaeval town. The beautiful beach was a short drive or you can walk if you choose.
Our host Maria Teresa is amazing!!!she went above and beyond to make our stay as outstanding.
I highly recommend staying here, you won’t be disappointed

Let’s just start by saying Maria was amazing. The village is a labyrinth and not initially easy to navigate. Hotel is utterly beautiful but full of stairs ! Amazing roof terrace, made to feel welcome but with my own space

Very historic unique area! Our grandparents were born 20 minutes from this location. People were extremely friendly and Maria Teresa was outstanding making sure we had everything we needed for a wonderful stay ( she even brought fruit from her garden!) Highly recommend!

Loved this place perfect and the inn keeper was excellent

Very unique 15th century house redone with amenities from today. Beautiful inside. Many steps but worth it. Marie Teresa was great host.

We loved our stay at Residenze Epoca. Maria Teresa was a wonderful host!! From helping with our luggage to making sure our needs were met. And she also has a wonderful restaurant! We were visiting our ancestral homeland but wanted a unique experience. So happy we stayed here and not in Cosenza. It was like staying in a Tuscan Hill town but without all the tourists. And the views of the Mediterranean were beautiful.

This hotel and town are magically medieval, the views of the ocean and hillsides are breathtaking, and hostess Maria Teresa goes above and beyond to accommodate every wish. Exploring beautiful Fiumefreddo Bruzio was one to the highlights of our trip to Italy.

Marie Theresa was an amazing hostess! Communication was easy and she met us right away for parking and check in. She insisted on helping us carry our luggage over the narrow cobblestone street of the medieval town. The house we stayed in looked over the Mediterranean and was built in the 1500’s. Our sea view room was beautiful, full of old furniture but still had modern amenities like a bathroom with a bidet. We enjoyed wandering the streets and visited the castle ruins that was built around 1000BC. For dinner Maria Theresa recommended the restaurant associated with the inn we were staying in. The food and service was fantastic! We hope we get another opportunity to stay here again.
