Despite a couple of problems with the house, we loved the location. We had our own dock on the bay which everyone loved. The kids especially loved it for crabbing and jumping in the water. We also went to the pool and the ocean which we all love doing. This was our first time staying in Chesapeake Bay and we really enjoyed it.

Beautiful spot close to all fun things like great fishing a short boat ride to see the horses wildlife and miles of sandy beaches

We used this house as a base to see Assateague Island National Seashore in Maryland and Virginia. It was less than an hour drive to the Smith Island Ferry and about a half hour drive to NASA's Wallops Island Visitor Center. It had everything that we would use at our home. At the end of the day, we enjoyed the deck overlooking the bay.
The garage door facing the dock was locked. To access the dock, we walked out the front door and around the one side of the house. While it was inconvenient to walk in single file due to the no trespassing signs on both sides of the house, we were rewarded with a great view at the end of the dock.

We stayed with our adult children, the house is right on the water, we really enjoyed the easy access to the dock. We enjoyed that we had fairly quick access to Chincoteague, but had a much quieter setting than we would have if we were on the island.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Breathe the Bay. Extremely peaceful and releaxing.
We chose this property because we were looking for a nice view of the Rocket Launch. With binoculars, we had an unobstructed view of the launch! It was great.
Given it is in a more secluded area, it was nice that the home had lots to do for our family including board games, ping pong, and air hockey. Our kids loved it all. Wish we would have thought to bring fishing poles - as a neighbor was on their dock fishing. We enjoyed the deck/porch and ate most meals outside
It is about a 24 min drive to Chincoteague and 30ish minute drive to Assateague Beach. We visited the beach twice during our stay [75 degree days in Nov].
Make sure to make it back to the property for sunset/moon rise, as we had a gorgeous full moon rise one evening and the sky was almost purple. Property was great for photographers.
Note - it is described in the contract - you need to bring your own towels and sheets. Beds were King in the master, Queen/Full x 2, and 2 (4 if count trundles) kids single beds.
Only wish - We had wanted to use the pool, but booked this at the last minute. The pool passes were not in the check-in/welcome bag. Apparently the management service for the property is closed on Sundays, so we could not ask about them until Monday. Ultimately they did not charge for the pool passes since we did not get to use them. And it encouraged us to go back to the beach - which I think the kids enjoyed more anyways :) There is also golfing (you can rent clubs) and a playground in the neighborhood.
