A lovely treat, full of character and charm.
A beautiful period house. Lovely furnishings and style. Clean and comfortable with a lovely private garden. Very generous welcome hamper.
The only drawback was the lack of parking nearby. There is a small lay-by opposite but other residents park so getting a space is hit and miss. The property is right on a busy main road so it’s not easy to pull up in front to unload baggage before heading for town car park. As someone with mobility limits this was a challenge.

Lovely, comfortable stay, really nice village location
The location was great for our visit to goodwood, saw a lot of the cars going to and from the event, the house was lovely, good restaurants and take aways available in walking distance

Monk House is a quirky, historic cottage in the heart of a lovely village. Highly recommended.
Easy check in process, great communication from the host throughout, generous welcome hamper, beautiful garden with ample outdoor seating, plenty of towels and bathrobes, decorated in a lovely cottage style. Directly opposite the entrance to Petworth Park - wonderful for dog walks
A few more items of cutlery/crockery would have been helpful. On a busy main road so loading/unloading was challenging.
