About this apartment rental

The 2 room apartment has been mostly newly furnished in November 2022 and is ideal for families. It has altogether 2 rooms, a bedroom with a queen size double bed and a wardrobe and a living room with a sofa that opens into a queen size double bed, book case, armchair with lamp, smart TV, SAT TV, books and games. A very well equipped kitchen with stove, oven, microwave, fridge and deep freezer. dishwasher, toaster, coffee maker (filter coffee), Nespresso machine, plenty of dishes, etc. The apartment is on the first floor above the ground floor. (In the US first floor is what in Austria is called ground floor!) Bathroom with shower and WC, sink, hairdryer.
All our 3 apartments are located in a small house in a quiet neighborhood, at most 15 walking minutes from the historical center. Each apartment has a private parking place in the yard, wifi, Smart TV with netflix and Zattoo, a well equipped kitchen, a safe deposit box and a baby cot and baby high chair. Common to the 3 apartments is a washing room on the ground floor with washing machine and tumble drier, for use of our guests. In the little garden in the back you will find an open hut for bikes, in case you decide to rent one.
Bedlinen and towels are provided.
All apartments are non-smoking apartments. Smoking only on the balcony or in the garden.
You will find a folder on the table with a list of restaurants, coffee shops and supermarkets close by , on the way to the center and in the center.
You'll find several restaurants in the neighbourhood, at a walking distance of 2 to 10 minutes, also 2 supermarkets at most 10 minutes walking distance and a bakery about 5 walking minutes from the apartments.
Bus number 27, at about 3-4 minutes walking distance in Ganshofstrasse takes you to the center. Bus number 1 on Maxglaner Hauptstrasse, 5 walking minutes away, to the center and train station. Bus number 2, about 5-6 minutes walking distance on Innsbrucker Bundesstrasse will take you to the airport.
Check in time: If there are guests leaving on the same day, check in time is 15 o'clock. It is possible to deposit your luggage to the apartment from about 10:30 o'clock.
If there are no guests leaving on the day you arrive, you can check in anytime .
Check out time: 10 o'clock .

If I could give 6 stars I would. Loved this Spotless , quiet and roomy apartment Within walking distance to the centre of Salzburg. A few minutes to the Bus stop # 1 bus if preferred. Keep to the left when exiting the house. A fabulous bakery close to bus stop . Open 6am to 1 pm. The apartment has Lots of thoughtful touches and all the little extras for a comfortable stay. The sofa bed is big with a proper mattress for comfort. Kitchen very well stocked with implements and some basics like coffee and tea varieties. The shower is very good for hot water. Main bedroom comfortable. Windows can be opened in every room for a nice flow of air. Radiators if chilly. We didn’t need them. It’s up one flight of stairs. Communication with the host was first class. The best holiday rental we have stayed in so far and have been in many countries.

Clean, comfortable, and great location in a quiet neighborhood in Salzburg! Just a few minutes walk to the bus line that goes directly to the historic area and tours (or a 20minute walk in nice weather) Easy checkin /out and the host, Ruth, is wonderful, easily accessible and very helpful Highly recommend!!

The apartment was clean, very cozy and felt like home. We did not use the kitchen much but it seems to have everything you may need. Felt like home. Parking was free. We did not need to rely on public transportation and just walked the 15-20 minutes into the old town. Felt very safe. The host gave detailed information about the apartment and was quick and prompt in her responses.

My husband, daughter and I found the apartment conveniently located and very clean and comfortable. There were many little touches that are really thoughtful and show that the comfort of renters is important. I would definitely stay here again if given a chance to visit Salzburg again.

Arrival Instructions were very detailed and easy to follow. Ruth left a book of local recommendations and directions. Iron and umbrellas were welcome pluses. Apartment was very clean

The apartment was quaint, but very comfortable. The owner Frau Ruth, took great care in ensuring that we had ample information about both the apartment ahead of time, as well as the Salzburg area. She left a binder of recommended restaurants, cafes, etc., as well as a map showing several of the closest businesses. It was just big enough for a family of 4, so larger groups, beware. Getting into Salzburg was very easy on the bus, and it was a relatively short walk into the city. It was also relatively quiet and despite warmer days, the apartment was comfortable, with two fans that were provided.

Great place that fit perfect for traveling with my husband and our son. Ruth would always check in to make sure we were doing well with a great book she put together with recommendations for places to eat and visit during our stay. Only regret is we did not stay in Salzburg longer.

Our stay at Ruth’s 2-room apartment was very comfortable and convenient. Ruth was incredibly responsive, both before the stay regarding check in details and during the stay regarding our needs. She provides many practical details, including a local city map, a binder of suggestions for restaurants and such, instructions for the laundry machines, and electrical plug adapters. The two rooms both had comfortable beds, and the living room easily served as a second bedroom (although it doesn’t have a door to close it in). It’s located a 20-30 minute walk from Salzburg old town, which we found manageable. The apartment stayed quite cool even when it was very hot outside. Would definitely stay here again!

The apartment had everything that we needed. (Comfy beds, good coffee and a washer/dryer!) It is located in a quiet neighborhood and easy to find. It was a pleasant walk to the center which we made several times. We had no issues and recommend the apartment to anyone visiting Salzburg. We thoroughly enjoyed our visit to the city. (We left some items in the apartment and Ruth was VERY accommodating to send them back for us.)

My husband and I traveled to Salzburg for the first time and also driving, we were concerned about many things from the apartment location, driving regulations, covid restrictions, etc. Ruth was an amazing host and answered all of our questions right away. She made sure to contact us upon arrival to make sure everything was okay and prior to that provided all the necessary instructions for check-in and use of the apartment amenities. We stayed in the 2 bedroom apartment and were very comfortable. Ruth was very attentive to our needs and even provided maps for Salzburg city center, a list of groceries stores, restaurant recommendations and a map on how to get to old town within a 15 minute walk (5 minutes in car). We would recommend staying in here.

As avid birdwatchers, we loved hearing the birds singing as we made our way from the bus stop along the pleasant lane leading to the apartment when we first arrived. We are also in favour of quiet nights and this apartment satisfied in that regard, as well. We stayed in the smaller unit, and while some of the spaces are tighter than we are accustomed to, one can easily adapt. For example, the bathroom contains the water heating unit just inside the doorway, but also provides a warning at eye level to "watch your head"!! We walked to old town most days, and for us it didn't matter how long it took, as it was a pleasant journey through a lovely neighbourhood in a very livable city.
