I was in town for a conference. I arrived early and was allowed to go in 45 minutes early. The house was in the back downstairs. Once in I realized that someone lived upstairs. There was a lock door from upstairs to the downstairs. Being alone made me very uneasy. I could hear walking all evening. If things were dropped upstairs it made a huge noise downstairs. He does have a dog, but I never heard the dog. The tv had blown speakers so I was unable to watch tv while there.

Generally, we enjoyed our stay. For us:The Pros: It is a lovely neighborhood/surroundings and the excellent proximity to University Place. Addtionally, the Host was responsive and the apartment has a nice layout, with doors to the bathroom in the hallway and bedroom. The Cons: At times we felt the noise from above was more than we had experienced at other similar properties. Specifically, the bedroom is below what we think is the dining room/kitchen and the chairs make a scrapping noise when moved. We brought this to the attention of the Host and requested/suggested using felt pads under the chair legs, but the noise re-occurred several times during our stay. Although we felt the apartment was generally well appointed, we thought it as strange since it did not have laundry detergent, recycling or compost bags nor a vacuum (eventhough carpeted). All in all, we thought it was a good value.

Nice apartment in a great location. We walked to U Village for dining and groceries. And easy Uber to Capitol Hill for dinner. Also, easy access to the campus and Husky Stadium.
