Perfect Alton Towers stopover and surprised by the town of Leek!

Perfect stopover for Alton Towers. Ideally situated in the little town of Leek (which was lovely, by the way!), we had a great stay in this little mid terrace. The house was clean and quiet with a hot shower (I know how important that can be!). We had a lovely meal in Thai Siam and a few drinks in the local pubs. The locals were friendly and welcoming. One bit of advice would be to get there early enough to bag a good parking spot on the street, otherwise it might be a couple of minutes' walk at most. Either way, we had a perfect stay and thanks to Mart for his hospitality. Absolutely would recommend.

A pleasant stay

Close to town centre and a large grocery store. We found the place perfectly adequate for our needs. The fact that one can check in from 1pm was really convenient. There were always parking spaces available on the street and we were able to park literally next to the house each time when we went back. Neighbours were quiet and there wasn’t much commotion outside of the house regardless it being central. The only thing I would like to mention is the fact that there is no coffee, tea, sugar, oil, tinfoil etc provided, so if you don’t fancy buying that once your arrive just bring them with you. The mattress in the small bedroom was very soft (I suspect not of great quality), but the one in the main bedroom felt a lot nicer (but I guess it’s down to personal preference).

We found the mattress in the small bedroom too soft for our liking, but I guess it’s down to personal preference. Another thing I would like to mention which isn’t a negative, but could be helpful to know in advance that there is no tea, coffee, oil etc provided at the property.

Nice few days. Great little house. Had everything we needed

All facilities where as promised and the location was good for us, especially the local Witherspoons

We are used to sleeping in a superking sized bed and it was only a double but we knew this when we booked it and, there was a lot of noise from traffic, especially trucks early in the morning that woke me up

Location was excellent. Shops, bars and takeaways all with walking distance. Leek is gorgeous.

It was lovely, just what we needed before a trip to alton towers. Couldn’t fault it, really nice place.

Very tidy and had everything you needed.

Neighbours were loud at times.

Comfortable beds, knew what to expect, nice to have milk and butter provided.

There weren't enough towels for 4 of us. Smelt slightly of stale smoke. The WiFi hadn't been connected yet but wasn't too much of an issue. More wine glasses, ideally matching required.
