great environment, big room, beautiful lobby.

Hot water took a long time and when it finally came, it lasted about 2 minutes before getting cold again.
Room was missing basic supplies like hand soap, hangers, iron, hair dryer.

I really liked this hotel. The lobby is very pretty, the rooms are spacious, everything feels clean and new, and the staff were all very friendly. Just a couple minor issues: 1. I really disliked the toiletries. I'm surprised nobody else has mentioned this in their reviews, but the shampoo and conditioner were literally impossible to get out of the bottles. It is too thick for the small hole in the cap, and the cap is impossible to remove when you are wet in the shower. 2. While the pillows and mattress were comfortable, I really didn't like the bedding. It is a very thin, uncomfortable blanket. I prefer fluffier bedding. Other than that, it was very nice, close to restaurants, and I would definitely stay there again.

We had a fantastic stay at the Elkotel. It was very reasonably priced, exceptionally clean and very comfortable. We especially appreciated that pets are allowed to stay for free. Some feedback for the owners since it seems to have been recently opened - we didn't have any hand soap in our room and the kitchenette, which was very handy and included a cooktop, did not come with any equipment like pots, plates, or utensils. We also had a small area to hang clothes, but no hangers. None of these had any major effect on the quality of our stay, just might make future guests more comfortable.

This is by far the nicest place I’ve ever stayed in elko. The only thing they could approve on would be kitchen utensils and a trash. All in all it’s a very nice place and this is where I’ll be staying every time I’m here

The room was freezing, we turned the heat to but it was so cold and the bedding was really thin. The tv also didn’t work. Everything was plugged in and I even called the front desk for assistance, but it didn’t work. It was kind of a bummer. The room was cute and clean, at least.

The hotel was great, unfortunately kind of far from food and drink options. Not normally an issue but no Uber or taxi service in town.

The hotel was remodeled really well. My four kids and I had a good time while staying. The breakfast had a few good options for breakfast and all kids had something they would like. My only issue was the double size bed and not having much room when sleeping and having to conscious to not fall when sleeping.

I had a late arrival, and when I pulled up to the front, a chain was wrapped around the main entrance doors, and they were locked. A note said to call this number for arrivals after 11 p.m.

It is a great location right off the freeway, the only issue I have is the cable connection is bad and buffers way too much other than that for the price it’s a good stay.

The room for five was very comfortable. It was spacious and really clean. The breakfast was fine but could tell it was all microwaved. Except the one waffle maker. The bathroom was beautiful and clean.

For a “dog friendly” hotel, there is no safe areas to walk the dog. The rock areas for landscaping are like shale and cut his paws, and then I was told by the front desk clerk I could walk him out back where there are no lights and she even said “but keep in mind this is rattlesnake season and there are some out there”.

It’s clear this hotel is a renovation that was badly rushed… first time in 20+ years I’ve been in a hotel that doesn’t have curved shower curtain rods, and the tub was so slick I almost slipped in it! No texture or anything to keep that from happening.

The room was clean, comfortable bed, good sized room, dim
Lighting. Could not find an ice machine. Breakfast eggs were ice cold like they had just come out of the refrigerator. Breakfast options were good. The exterior grounds are unattractive. Guests are not picking up after their dogs and it doesn’t appear it’s being cleaned up regularly. There is no trash can where most dogs are using the bathroom which is along one side of the building next to rooms. Staff was professional and helpful.
