Friendly staff. Very quiet property. Neighborhood felt safe.
Breakfast cost extra when cost of room already high. The bed was very hard. The shower/bathtub combination was quite awkward to get in and out of.

The location was good ,quiet road within easy waking distance to the transport links ,adequate nearby eating places etc .
Didn't like having to move ho different buildings to check in etc .The staff were OK but not particularly pleasant ,was asked to pay again even though we had paid a few minutes previously which didn't make us feel in anh way valued or special .The room was overwhelmingly hot and there was a constant sound of a washing machine going all night .Breakfasts where extortionately priced .
3.8
The breakfast was cooked of site and brought in continental was available with tea and coffee
We didn’t stay in the Grange Portland but the Grange Buckingham we did not know this until after I had payed for the rooms only a day or so before arriving so to late to book anywhere else. There was no dining room or Bar or restaurant which was disappointing.

We originally booked at the Grange Portland but were changed to their sister hotel and when we arrived our room was not ready, however the staff were wonderful, they could not have been more helpful. We waited no more that 10 minutes and received a complimentary breakfast which was also excellent.
The decor was dated but the room was large,, lovely and bright and spotlessly clean. Our room was cleaned each day, we were also given new towels each day and on the second day new bedding. There was a good choice of continental and English breakfast and the food was lovely
If I was to be critical, there were only two cups and saucers despite the room being a three person room and no tea pots at breakfast.

Very big room
Shower could have been more powerful

location was perfect, only 5 mins from underground
for me the bed was very hard otherwise very good

I like Everything about it, was comfortable lovely room
The staff when we first arrived were not very pleasant, the next day they seem more cheery though which was nice to see, it was my birthday weekend away, which on my way to sign out of the hotel the receptionist did see the note on my booking saying it was my birthday and asked why didn't I tell them, I shouldn't have to its on my booking, then said he would of done something if he would have known READ the booking properly then, well the day before obviously he was in a rush n seemed very stressed so I did say this is for my birthday but I was blanked so I just left it and carried on enjoying my stay.

Great size room, lots of natural light and a very comfy bed,
Check in was very simple, room was clean, would have loved AC (For the few days of hot weather we get) but they supplied a couple of fans in the room which was ok
Breakfast, and attitude of the serving staff at breakfast, We were told that tea had finished but only 9.30 on a Saturday, so gave us a hot water pot, But nothing else, kept having to go back and ask for tea bags, milk, spoons,
We felt very rushed as soon as we sat down and that we were being a pain for asking

We didn't stay at Grange Portland Hotel but we were moved last minute to the Grange White Hall Hotel. The room was much smaller than what I had booked for, so it was disappointing.

The Hotel was changed to the Grange Clarendon just 3 mins away from the original Hotel. It was within walking distance to the Theatre which we had booked and close to Chinna Town for a meal. Hotel was great all we needed for our London 2 night stay.
We could not find anthing we did not like. Nice large room and bathroom.

We were offered a great room facing over a park. The property was located on a quiet street within really easy walking distance to the train station, as well as everything in central London. The staff were friendly and efficient and communicated to us well the fact that we would be staying in the Grange Beauchamp (on the same street) as a posed to the Portland.
Nothing that I can particularly fault as we had overall a great stay and felt the hotel was good value for the money we paid.
3.8
The location was good and the room was very spacious with a kitchenette that came in handy.

we were moved to a nearby property because of staffing issues at the Grange Portland hotel. We had to stays booked at the Portland but stayed at the Grange Buckingham and Grange Beauchamp respectively. We liked the Buckingham as the room was updated and newer carpets throughout.

For us,the location was superb for going to our show and we also felt price wise for a really lovely hotel in that location, was top notch. Will definitely use this hotel again.
No complaints.
3.8
small
lack of facilities and room was in bad need of decorating and refurbishment
3.8
The location was perfect for what we needed.
The first room was dirty (chewing gum stick to the chair & Staines in the toilet), this room clearly needs some TLC 1 of 3 lights working in the bathroom, toilet didn’t flush correctly (wouldn’t flush toilet tissue), door handle on the bathroom was coming away. Also things like the curtains where falling apart.
Second room was smaller and no Kitchen area and that’s why I booked the room. This room had no tea bags (everything else apart from Tea). The bathroom was dirty (was able to wipe off dirt with my finger) and again the curtains where hanging off the rail. Just found that it lacked effort.
It’s says it includes breakfast, this is only a continental breakfast. You have to pay more for a full English breakfast.
Wasn’t highlighted to us when booking.

we were originally booked into the Grange Portland but it was changed by the hotel. Grange Buckingham was really clean. massive room. Breakfast was buffet style in Hotel next door, really lovely (could have been a little hotter). Staff were amazing and very helpful.
Just needed a bit of updating, however it was still lovely and we would definitely stay again.

Lovely staff and location
More breakfast options

We were moved to a sister hotel a few doors away at a few days notice. The room we were given was very nice but didn't have all the features I'd originally booked (kitchenette) . The staff however were very helpful and brought us a microwave wave and a mini fridge. The room was spacious and the bed was huge. The continental breakfast was lovely and the staff quickly replenished items when they were running low. My daughter enjoyed her cooked breakfast for a £4 supplement.
As previous visitors have said the cold water tap was lukewarm and the beds a little hard for my preference however none of this detracted from a lovely stay.

giant room in the middle of London. The kitchen nook was a lovely surprise!
It gets super noisy on weekends outside, and the fact that there is only one elevator led to delays.
3.8
Great location and facilities… a little dated but it did the job…. lovely breakfast .. can’t fault the place. Would stay there again

Great location and the room was really clean.
The bed was two singles pushed together. There was a mattress topper so you couldn't fall through the middle but still 2 singles. Still very comfortable though

Stayed at Buckingham and it was amazing. Staff amazing. Breakfast was in another hotel next door but again superb and super staff.
Location. Quality. Staff
