They charged for additional fees I didn’t even know about. Kept my deposit for these fees without notifying me that I was even being charged for these.
Not being notified about the additional charges

It was great that there was a restaurant on site as well as a fitness facility in the hotel.
The location was easy for us to get around to various locations in the city.
Staff were very friendly and helpful
Room size was suitable for 5 people.
The sofa bed was incredibly uncomfortable, along with the chair in the loungeroom area - there was no cushion on the bottom, both need an update
No ability to use streaming service on the television.

Great location, we had a lovely room and the staff couldn’t have been more accommodating.
Nothing really, all good.

No breakfast and parking included. Parking was ver expensive and room layout uncomfortable

Our suite was large, modern and with good quality furnishings. Reception was friendly and looked impressive. The location was walkable to all the places we needed to get to.
The immediate environment outside the hotel was not the most pleasant. I wanted a late checkout due to a 9pm flight, however a 4pm checkout would have meant paying for another night at the hotel. This is ridiculous compared with all the other hotels I have stayed at.

Excellent location. Yes, there are a lot of homeless in the area, but nothing dangerous, It is part or what Vancouver is.

The staff at this hotel is fantastic. They are friendly, helpful, polite and lovely to interact with.
The "neighborhood", or this section of the city, felt very sketchy. There was a TON of drug activity on the block(s) as well as many unhoused urinating, drinking, doing drugs and camping on the street, in they alley to the parking garage, and around the hotel. It was heartbreaking but we also did not feel particularly safe walking from the hotel anywhere. We also felt like the rooms were smaller than expected based on the photos and it felt like the quality of furnishings, etc were a bit subpar.

Room was ok. Price was very high for this hotel and room.

I hope I was an exception. I believe I have been charged an extra CAD $130.2 (USD $97.81) for 4 nights' parking fee. Please check the photo below for the detail. I have given BW two chances before I wrote this negative review, but they appear to not be willing to solve my question and give me my money back. The staffs are kind but aren’t responsible for the customer and don’t take the correctness of payment seriously.
I reported this issue to the front desk when the time I checked out but the staff just said that USD $97.81 charge is a kind of tax, and I trusted his word and leave the holel. But after doing a simple math calculation last night, I found that explanation is wrong (check the transaction in the attachment), so I made a phone call to BW this morning and told them my case, one staff replied that he will figure it out and contact me, but unfortunately, I still get nothing from them.
Beware, every traveler. Good luck.

due to flight cancellations, we didn’t arrive to the property until early in the morning. past the time we would have been considered “no shows”. We explained to the staff and they were very understanding. They gave us our room (we had already paid for it) and a late checkout. it was very nice and helped put a positive spin on a generally negative travel experience

Location

- nice, modern and well-maintained facilities
- spacious room with balcony
- friendly and efficient staff
- breakfast at the hotel restaurant is expensive, there are more diverse and less expensive options out of the hotel
- the area (especially the Granville street) looks a bit unsafe

To many homeless people and drug addicts living in very close proximity, very unsettling when going out.

Central location and most of the sights of Vancouver accessible by walking. There is underground parking, which was very helpful.
Sadly, Granville Street didn't feel a safe place to be walking along at night.
The room was quite dated, but simple, clean and functional. All the staff were very helpful.

I liked the staff’s friendliness and how when we arrived early and asked to store our luggage till check in they were able to give us an early check in instead and upgraded our room!

The professionalism was on point. When I needed anything up to my room there was no delay or miscommunication. They doubled checked and service was prompt!
I didn’t like that I was not given a king bed Instead we were given 2 queen. I like to sleep with my husband. He is a big man and in a queen bed there is no room for me!

We loved the room particularly the separate living area. tithe reception staff were very friendly and helpful

I enjoyed the king size bed, private balcony and coffee machine. Everything was very clean and the staff was very helpful. The underground parking was especially wonderful to keep my car off the streets. The staff were helpful and knowledgable and very kind. I much enjoyed how close to everything the hotel is and how easy it was to pop back to the room quickly.
The king size bed although luxurious and quite enjoyable just wasn't as soft as I enjoy my beds to be. Feels like there needs to be better signs for how the parking works, we thought you had to pay through hangtag but you don't, but it is awesome you guys charge less than hang tag. There were also some holes in the balcony covered by loose circles that should probably be secured down.

the secure underground parking.

We were VERY DISAPPOINTED that this is the first Best Western ,so far, we have stayed in that did NOT serve us breakfast. The staff was fantastic and very welcoming. Having an abundance of obvious cleanliness and good quality was met
If I had gotten the suite I booked ahead. And then discounted appropriately. As well, the fact that we had to leave the hotel to seek out a decent restaurant that had NOT been considered when filling out our agenda.

Everything about our stay, the staff, our rooms, beds, bathrooms! Just love it & pet friendly!!
