Closeness to seaport and airport
The door to the room was hard to open (had to push my shoulder into it to open) and would not lock from the outside. We could not go far for fear someone would enter. The was no box of Kleenex, no cream and sugar in the room, and none of the electrical outlets worked except in the bathroom. The bathroom faucet was new but too short and off to the side barely leaving enough space get your hands under it. We could hear the people in the room beside us talking very clearly. The room seemed only partially restored. Lots of noise in the hallway too. We put towels at the foot of the door to keep some sound out.

Room was gorgeous and comfortable.
My bed sheet seemed to not fit properly and continued to keep coming off the bed through out the night. Constantly waking up and getting wrapped up in the sheet.

Location is perfect for reaching Royal Caribbean cruise port using their shuttle services. Location is also perfect for reaching the airport using their shuttle service. Plus, good food and stores (in case you forgot something) within walking distance.
That I didn't find this hotel on my previous trip....lol!

Good Location: just off the busy road and beside a mall with a few options for eating. Also close to the airport and cruise terminal.
Great breakfast.
Nice lobby area.
Staffed with nice people for the most part.
Free airport transfer: 1st, as a Canadian without a US phone plan, I had to find someone to phone for me. The hotel suggested airport info/customer service. They weren’t too happy but did phone for me. The shuttle folks told me to wait. Estimate was ‘at least 1h and a half’. After such a long day with little food, and issues at baggage, and with our mother with us, we decided a long wait was going to put us at the hotel in time for bed only. We also had no phone contact for when the shuttle might come. We took a cab. Apparently shuttles come regularly outside at a shuttle stop and we could have waited there instead of the phone hassle. Not sure if we would have hit a shuttle while looking for a phone.

Most things went well, however I will list below what we were disappointed with ..
Our family left CA at 2 pm. that Sunday. Our flight was an evening and night connection arriving in Fort Lauderdale at 5 a.m. on Monday morning. We paid for the Sunday, Monday, Tuesday and checkout on Wednesday for our cruise. I verified that with the Hampton Inn before I left CA. When we arrived on Monday morning, there was a problem which knocked out power so they had no computer service to see our rooms etc. We sat in the lobby for 4 plus hours, then the manager came, and we were finally able to get in our rooms with help with our luggage as no elevators were working and we were on the 4th floor, we then went to sleep and got up at 3 p.m. and the power was back on. Just a thought that something should be in place for the future when these incidents happen.

The staff Ludy was very friendly and accommodated us by changing our rooms.
The first room, which was on the 5th floor it was dusty and had a moldy smell. We got another room on the 3rd floor. However, that door was hard to open. The maintenance guy came up the stairs in time to tell me I have to push hard on the door. I literally had to throw my weight against the door to open it every time I went to the room. Was too tired from my cruise to go back downstairs to change it. For $370 a night, the breakfast was very basic( carton scramble eggs, roasted potatoes that tasted like lemons, pork sausage, then the usual cereals and fruit options. This is supposed to be a part of Hilton? Can't be!

The door to our room was EXTREMELY hard to open especially for us… as senior citizens… you had to hit it with your hip because it stuck so badly….

The bed was very comfortable, the room was large. Had a nice gym for being a hotel. The free breakfast is very nice.
The area is a little interesting. Our door on our room literally did not lock. You could just push it open. Odd. I think this hotel is far too expensive for the area and the quality.

breakfast included.
the fact that they gave me a room that someone was in prior to me but I guess changed room but left me with used towels, hair in the bathroom, candy wrappers on the floor and a bed that someone got real comfortable in. nevertheless the broken door which the maintenance man knew was a problem.

The room was comfortable and clean.
I had booked two rooms through Booking.com. However, I received a notice on the day of my stay, that only one room was booked. The staff were discourteous. When I tried to call to address the issue, I was told that they were too busy to assist me. One person even hung up on me. Then, to add insult to injury, I was charged for the two rooms.

The staff
Everything else. The room was old and loud. The air conditioner was so loud we found it hard to sleep. The room could use a major Reno and when we arrived and tried to get into the room the door was stuck. Painted shut. Ridiculous for part of a Hilton Hotel group. I always like the Hampton Inn not any more. I will definitely not be booking at. Hampton Hotel ever again.

Breakfast and room location
All was good. The hotel showed a bit wear and tear.
