Got there the place was closed due to storm. No one contacted me about the room cancelation or how to get my refund back. I need answers.

I loved the location, the staff is over friendly. Anything we needed they accomidated. The Bagel Bar was great!! The room was great for a quick beach trip!
The parking was a disaster. However, we noticed many people parking at the hotel who were not staying there and just going to the beach. At no fault of the hotel the 1 elevator was very inconvienent.

Location
Breakfast was a joke. There was only one elevator working so the wait was longer than necessary and the cleaning staff had to use the same elevator. Not enough lounge chairs for the number of guests. The cleaning staff were more pleasant than the office staff.

Pool and deck
No lights around pool and only one in pool. Made stairs very dangerous

The one thing you can always count on is the staff. In my opinion they do their best to make things right. They always are helpful whether it be checking in or out or just needing towels etc. Thank you, Patty, Sean and Danielle and all staff.
I was disappointed that after changing to a Hilton that they would remove the breakfast items that were in place. I have stayed at this hotel over 30 times over the last 12 years and they always had a great breakfast with eggs, sausage, fruit, waffles, cereal and other items to now just having a beagle bar!!! The other issue which has been an ongoing issue is the elevators, those just have to work during a holiday weekend. And lastly the parking, they always had parking across the street if their lot filled up, now you may have to park 1 mile down the road. However, staff would allow you to park in all areas if parking spots were full.

We liked the price and that it was directly on the beach. Most staff encounters were pleasant
Parking wasn’t great. And only one elevator was working so it was a long wait to get to room. The breakfast was bagels everyday. Wasn’t the Hamptons.

Location was great!
One elevator working, No sheets, pillows and blanket for the sofa bed. Parking was tight.

Absolutely nothing!
The parking is terrible, they tell you where to park with your parking pass, and then tow your vehicle and “property expensive” and once you retrieve your vehicle from the tow yard they then tell you to park in a FIRE LANE. This it the property manager Ryan telling his customers to do this. And you WILL GET TOWED BY THIS PROPERTY. And they will say “they will not do anything about it , it’s protocol.” I have videos to prove this review. I do not recommend!

The property was is a great location, the beach was nice, and we had an issue with the AC in our room not working and that staff was able to immediately put us in a new room with a working AC.
It was advertised at a dog friendly hotel, it has a pet fee of $75 that we gladly paid to bring along. After arriving there we see that the only space to let our dog use the bathroom is an extremely small area that is not maintained very well, is directly beside the busy road, and all the grass is dead. Also there was no sign posted anywhere about dogs not being allowed in the pool area and we were never made to sign anything about where the dogs are allowed, we had our dog by the pool sitting with us after several hours of her not bothering any one a manager came out to the pool and told us we had to take her back to our room and that she is not allowed in the pool or patio area (the manager was unnecessarily rude about it), then later we seen several dogs by the pool and patio area that were never made to leave.
Also the bathrooms are extremely small, the breakfast is not a buffet as advertised is consists of bagels, yogurt, and oranges.

Great ocean front views
Pool wasn’t heated lol and the coffee was awful
2.5 / 5.0
Spacious rooms, good view of ocean, easy access to ocean, good shower
Even though paying daily parking rate, ran out of parking spaces even in basement and had to park in towing zone. No security. Non customers were parking in lot and walking out to pool and beach. Gates all unlocked and no secure doors to enter with cards. Breakfast was sad with bagels and muffins. No coffee in room was a major pain. Only one elevator working although hurricane was a while ago. Cleaning up common areas inside hotel (hallways, near elevators, parking garage walk throughs) and removing sketchy occupants that had girls coming and going from one room (2nd floor exit elevator turn right and door straight ahead) would really help.

I liked that the Hotel was on the Beach. That was the only thing we liked about it.
The breakfast was down the first day do to repairs then consisted of bagels and muffins only. Had problems with the elevator so fire Department was called and everyone was evacuated for over an hour. Pool area had no lighting at all so you couldn't go out after dark. And was charged a hidden fee of $10 a day for parking at the hotel even after bring it to staffs attention. Decided to leave a day early because someone tried to open our room door at 2:30am. Thank God for the inside lock because it was like they had a key card and woke us up and when we decided not to stay any longer they would not refund for the last night. Hope they will get there kinks worked out but as of now it's somewhere we will never want to stay again.

Perfect! Is this a 5 star hotel, no…HOWEVER, is it clean, comfortable, affordable, pet friendly, on the beach, walking distance to restaurants and shopping…yes to all of the above! This hotel is under construction but the workers could not have been more kind and respectful of the guests. The staff was impeccable! Patty, Jackie, Chico, we could not have appreciated you more, you were the absolute best! We will definitely be back ♥️
I wish the entry doors to the rooms opened inward instead of outward and there needs to be automatic doors that lead to the lobby.

The Location was great, on the beach. The Hotel unfortunately is undergoing much repair which was required from Hurricane damage. Upon completion, I am sure it will be a great Hotel again. Our particular room was hugh and very clean.
A hot breakfast of some sort would have been great.

Right on the ocean
Undergoing major renovations. Property was not prepared for guests. Dining room was closed, so breakfast was coffee, a small blueberry muffin, small yogurt and a bagel with no way to toast it. One working elevator that had to be shared with construction crew. One working ice machine on the seventh floor which I was unable to access because the floor on that floor had wet paint.

It was ok for a bagged breakfast but it seemed hey mostly had everything bagels which were not to our liking.
We didn’t know the hotel was under severe renovation. Our room was half way complete. Microwave and coffee maker were on the floor. Too much dust and noise due to renevation

The room was clean and comfortable. The staff is always friendly and helpful. The hotel was not busy when we arrived and we were able to check in early with no problem, the young lady at the front desk was very pleasant and helpful. We had requested a room on a high floor and she handled that with no trouble. The location is amazing. We loved having a balcony that looked out over the ocean. Breakfast was nice and the lady that works breakfast is so nice and helpful. We remembered her from previous visits (She told us she has worked there for 12 years!!!) Overall the hotel was quiet, clean and comfortable as always. Two pieces of advice to future visitors. 1. When going in and out of the balcony be sure to watch your step the door frame at the foot is high and you WILL bust your toes and potentially trip. (I know first hand :) 2. If you are on a higher floor and the hotel is not busy. Your shower WILL run cold at first let it run for about 3-5 minutes and I guarantee you will get a super nice HOT shower be patient it will happen :) . This is not a 5 star hotel. Some parts of it are dated, however it is clean and well maintained with a staff that seems to care which to me in many ways makes it better. Overall, we loved our stay as always, and can't wait to come back soon.
Not really a complaint but the hotel is going through change as it has been purchased and recently renamed From Castillo Del Sol to the Mariner. I believe it will now be a Hilton property.
I know lots of people complain about the elevator situation but they are working on it. I can understand when the hotel is busy this would be a huge issue, luckily for us the hotel was not crowded when we visited. We have stayed here many times before and can see some improvements already being made. The sliding doors to the balconies appear to be new (much needed upgrade) the curtains were updated etc.. obviously lots more updates could be done (new doors on the rooms would be a good one ) but overall the hotel seems to be moving in the right direction.
One weird thing we noticed was that the rooms next to us were empty but the entrance doors and balcony doors were left wide open until late in the evening/night. This was strange and a little uncomfortable. Not sure why this was done but it was odd and seemed a security risk.
I am hopeful that the new owners don't change the good things like breakfast and the reasonable price. Overall our stay was very good.

The AC didn’t work and they said they fixed it but didn’t. There was a roach in my room. Bathroom was incredibly small

Checked in to the hotel to find the room covered in hair and dead bugs. Even had a few alive bugs. Needless to say, turned right around and checked out.

Breakfast was exceptional, staff was very friendly and helpful
More than 1 chair in our room to sit at the table to eat.
1.5 / 5.0
It was not clean , when you sat on the balcony you got dropped on from the air conditioning . The fort opened outward which is unsafe . When we got to the room the soap in the bathroom had been used and there was a cup of coffee on the TV stand . It was not worth it. And they only had one elevator for 7 floors working, they said the one was damaged a year ago in a hurricane and still not fixed.
