L’Emplacement

Great location, quiet, clean and tidy. Very cute!! I’d stay there again!
Room was a touch small.

La posizione attaccata a central park era favolosa. Tante scelte di ristoranti e caffè nei dintorni assieme a tanti negozi come tjmaxx. Time Square si trova a 10 minut a piedi . Hotel ok per dormirci e basta non è il più elegante ma sei a NY si può capire . Varietà di parcheggi e servizi veramente a 2 passi .
Letto scomodissimo,cuscini piccoli e scomodi.

EVERYTHING, before coming we read some reviews and we we’re optimistic and hopeful and sure enough we got the best hotel in town!
As far as any negatives my goodness , ‘get real ‘ people what do you want coming to New York, the most authentic experience right?
Rooms on the small side, cost is kept to a minimum hence no coffee facilities.
There are Coffee shops everywhere nearby- Central Park / Columbus circle subway so close by which was a dream.
This hotel when we first saw it was WOW, a building like what we see on the telly/TV it’s not a fancy hotel which are so like for like around the globe…..
You are in New York, therefore live like a New Yorker.
The reception is intimate and welcoming, like coming home. The room small but not tiny like we had anticipated.
The most comfortable bed, like a marsh mallow my husband said waking up the first morning!
Two gripes, water pressure in the shower not supper but we showered just the same and figured water has to reach all these buildings around who are we to complain. The second gripe was my toilet seat wasn’t soft closing, I feel so precious even writing this!
Bonus to this quaint hotel has the Joe G underground bar attached. So cool!
Not only do residents get a discount but the lovely Joe & his beautiful wife Patricia work there most nights.
They are super friendly and welcome you into the family straight away, the atmosphere is second to none.
On my last night Joe asked if I had any issues, I mentioned my toilet seat wasn’t soft closing, in front of my eyes he asked his maintenance man to replace my seat!
I thought he was joking, felt embarrassed that I mentioned it. I returned to my room 203 & sure enough I had a new soft closing toilet seat.
Joe is a proud person who cares about his guests and can only action anything brought to his attention.
Nothing of any significance really - to be honest shower pressure a little low but hey you can certainly shower effectively just a touch slower 👌

The location was superb. The staff was very friendly.
The room smelled. The sheets were clean, but the bed smelled unpleasantly. Overall, the room was clean, but the bathroom had mold in corners, which could be cleaned. The floor was clean but so dusty that once I took off my shoes and my white socks became instantly very dirty.

The location and staff was great.
The room was not as expected and the cleanliness was deficient.
3.7
Quiet, especially for New York! I slept soundly.
Towels faintly smelled like Italian food. Fixtures need to be replaced. plastic-covered chairs and crooked art.
3.7
Too noisy from the traffic and pedestrians who kept us up all night. Requested another room but there was none available

Hotel location is within walking distance of Times Square and Central Park. Good location
Don't believe the stay was value for money. Tiny room with not even a kettle and the window didn't properly close so being street facing the noise was considerable throughout the night. Blind was broken. A tired hotel that needs some improvements that shouldn't be hard to address.
3.7
It's clean, comfortable with friendly staff and just south west of central park.
Some parts are starting to look a bit dated.

Location is exceptional. We walked everyplace. Clean room. Friendly and helpful staff.
The bed was not comfortable. Linoleum floors.
3.7
Located a short walk from both Central Park and Time Square.
Beds are not great, feel every old.
Information given by the people behind the desk wasn’t accurate on more than one occasion.

Location is convenient.
The shower didn't work. Cold water only in winter.
No view from our room. Blocked window.

great location.
dirty rooms , mild in bathroom , strong chemical smell in room and hallways

has character
very dingy, no electric plug or light next to bed

The staff. They went out of their way to meet my requests. And the location! For a music lover like me, it was a block from Carnegie Hall and a few minutes walk from the Lincoln Centre, and Central Park was on the doorstep.
The room though not small was too dark and dingy with no view. But they gave me a stronger globe after I requested it, and also provided a kettle. There was a chance to move rooms to one with a view later in my stay, but by then I'd become quite at home in the room and didn't need to move.
3.7
Friendly staff. Excellent location.
Good value for New York City.
Staff very accommodating.
Blinds didn’t have rods to shut them.
Beds a little too hard.
Rooms need updating.
