Friendly and helpful staff. Breakfast pool gameroom were all great to have for kids! Loved the spacious room!
Bed was a bit uncomfortable.
3.6
Free wifi; near pool amenities.
ROOM 279 NEED AN UPDATE!!! One of the beds was broken( the other one on the verge); a new sealant on shower pipes it was making loud sounds transferring from the tub to the shower faucet. Kids were SCREAMING and running down the halls at 9:00 pm. Fingerprints, chips, and miscellaneous stains on the ceiling.

Breakfast was good and was one of the highlights. Good location.
The room looked nothing like the pictures. There were burn holes in the couch and one on the bed mattress. There was some kind of substance on the window curtain that wasn't cleaned before we got there. We chose not to use the hot tub because of the state of the room.
We also were able to see other rooms that were in much better shape, so I'm not sure if we just got a bad room.

I liked everything about it...

Simple but good

The pool and whirl pool were outstanding. The facility was really clean. The staff were friendly.
The mattress in our room was old and needs to be replaced.

Great customer service.

Location and facilities. The pool and breakfast were a plus

The location was excellent! Staff was mostly friendly
Room was very stinky. The floor was pretty dirty. The hot tub has not been drained and cleaned in a very long time. It was pretty gross. Big black stains of mold and dirt. The room was stinky and warm despite having the ac down to 60.

Door lock was stiff and elevators were very slow

I love this hotel

Never got my security deposit back

Nice pool and room. Great location
Wi-Fi signal was weak on the second floor where I stayed.

I have a family history with the “Downtowner”. My family stayed here when I was a kid (50 years ago), and I have fond memories of those stays. We will return. The breakfast was good, adequate for our needs. We didn’t use the pool, but it appeared clean and well-taken-care of.
The ol' place is definitely dated, but with the decline of downtown Green Bay, I understand the difficulties the motel has been through. Hopefully, with the “comeback” starting for downtown, the “old Downtowner” will come back. Please continue updating and modernizing this property.

as expected

Breakfast wasn't served before we had to leave for appointments. would like to suggest that it would be nice to offer a bag breakfast (like a muffin and piece of fruit,) for situations like that
Nothing, we were very happy with the accommodations and personnel.

The location, we were in town for a show at The Meyer Theatre so it was a convenient to be able to walk down the street.
The room had a weird loud humming rumble sound from time to time. I believe it was from older pipes. I brought it to the attention of the workers there but there was no solution given, no discount or upgrade offered. There were also holes in the cushions of the love seat in the room.

Location, close enough to everything

The staff was great
The cleanliness was in Dire need of cleaning.

We were in town for a show and the theatre is only two blocks down the street so that made this location very convenient. We didn't have to pay for additional parking We just walked. The hot breakfast in the morning was a nice touch and definitely better than just plane cold Bakery items and fruit.
There was a intermittent low pitched grinding sound that we called the front desk about but of course when they came down to attempt to identify what it could be the sound didn't occur. Later on when it did reoccur it was when I was using our sink so I am wondering if it could be the pipes causing the sound. Also when looking around the room it was noted there was a small burn hole on the seat of the loveseat in the room and the attached back cushions both had tears in the top corners as though someone had pulled at the seams and opened them up on accident. The bed/frame is no heavy and the floor doesn't have any carpet so when getting into bed one had to be careful not to make the bed slide away. Other than that it was quite comfortable.

Booked through a website . Contract states check in was 3 pm until midnight. Arrived at 10:15 was informed by Erica H. That room had been booked. And rooms are first come first serve after 6 pm. And there was nothing that could be done . Inquired about a refund. Erica H.then informed me that refunds would take 5-7 business days . I asked to speak with manager Erica stated that manager could not be contacted after 6 pm. I begin to write review, Erica then accused me of taking her picture walked into the back office and I heard her speaking to someone. I asked was that the manager that couldn't be reached she begin to raise her voice and tell me she was calling the police for me taking her picture. I was prepared to wait for officers but Erica then told me to leave because they had no rooms anyway I had no right to be there. I left property to prevent any further agitation to Mrs. Erica
1.That my room was given away when my contact clearly states my room should have been available for check-in until midnight.
2. Refusal of my refund
3. The lack of customer service I received

It was nice to have breakfast provided by the hotel, but I really just liked the coffee. Sorry, but the table where I sat was so sticky. The waffle was also pretty tough and the plastic utensils were so cheap that when you used them they bent in half. I'd hoped to get a milk to take to my room, but there weren't any individual milks, just one large jug. So that was disappointing. The staff seemed generally kind and helpful. The location in downtown was nice. (near a lot of good eateries.)
The room where we stayed was fairly clean but it needed some wall repair and painting. It was noisy and looked a little old. We were rather close to the game arcade and the pool, so that made it noisy.
