nothing...everything was historically perfect! We love the ambience and the grounds, views amazing...really special place.

Warm welcome! Safe! Epic & thankful, the staff lived and loved their history! Lovely view, singing birds, staff at front desk were grand. A very nice meal with safe distancing and historic ambiance!
Lovely experience and so grateful! Coffee in the lobby and classic room service were great. (Next time, I might try dinner in the room, as the view of the river was wonderful, menu great, but it was nice to have a classic meal on white linen, after do many months of no dining.)
Would have been great to tour the tower, like last time...but, theres always another romantic stay!

nice building, nice location
can hear highway traffic noise.

Very clean and a great location. We had a nice corner room that was larger than some of the others.
While we really enjoyed the lounge area, we had to move outside due to how loud the piano player was playing and singing. Fortunately the outside patio is very nice with a great view.
4.3
We enjoyed everything, wish we could of stayed longer, and enjoyed the spa. It's a lovely location and the historic atmosphere. Denise Dohman
That we could stay longer.
4.3
lovely secret gardens and surprise waterfall!!
not much food on the grounds…we had late arrival and the restaurant closed at 8pm as did most of the others in town so eat early!

the views and vibrance. the quaintness of the historic building was very appealing, as well.
our room didn’t have much a view from it, itself… but there were plenty of places that did in he hotel, to make up for that!

The whole atmosphere of the hotel was amazing it was built in 1921 and the furniture and decorations are so cool! I had a massage by Martina at the spa and it was the best massage of my life highly recommend. The food was amazing! They also have music in the lounge on Friday and Saturday night. The only thing was that the elevator is operated by hotel staff so I definitely got my steps in going up and down which is fine but might not be for some elderly guests. Would definitely stay here again.

gardens are quite nice
some staff not too friendly

The location of the property was great and there was ample parking.
The wifi was weak and would easily disconnect.
They didn't make up our room. I was told that that it wasn't made up because we didn't have a sign on the door that indicated we wanted our room made up. When I looked at the door sign both sides had "Please don't make up the room." I was also told that since COVID they don't make up rooms. I've been to several hotels during COVID and that was not the case.
You can hear noise from adjacent rooms especially if you don't close the bathroom door. We mainly heard kids screaming.

Very clean. Staff welcoming. Quiet area. Room accommodating. Bed comfortable. Would recommend to others
Ease of getting to, cleanliness, quiet and staff welcoming

It's always nice to stay here. They have a good restaurant and bar onsite, great views, and comfortable rooms.
If only they had room service....
4.3
No in room coffee or tea machine, shower water went cold if another guest used the water in another room, low water pressure in the shower, had to open the shampoo dispenser to get shampoo as the spout pump didn't work, no service for breakfast and no staff available to find out where we could get more than a prepackaged bisquite cracker.
4.3
location, gardens, view, history, restaurant, the bed frame.
water was extremely difficult to turn on in tub, some big stains on carpet in room, difficulties with one of the televisions remote.
4.3
Comfortable, clean and great staff. The grounds are beautiful and the waterfall was a wonderful surprise.

CGH is known for its beautiful grounds and historic hotel building. and the view of the Gorge is fantastic!
A luxurious weekend away with a $1000 price tag should be luxurious. the outside was nice but the inside of the hotel was run down.
