Très aimé l’attitude du personnel, merci beaucoup Nathalie pour les soins et la convivialité. Je recommande cet hôtel!

Location is amazing. Right next to the rampart and beach, 40 seconds from the main shops. Prime location.
Small clean room, the staff were helpful and friendly. Despite being opposite an Irish bar and above a bar, it was quiet. We had no problem with noise.
There was WiFi but the connection was so poor it was unusable. The the tv signal in the room was also intermittent, both were probably a result of being in an old thick walled historic building.
I would not recommend if you have mobility issues as the rooms are on the upper floors accessed up a tight/ steep spiral staircase.

The room was bigger and better-equipped than I had expected. There was a lovely little kitchenette with a coffee machine, sink, and fridge, along with several dishes. The bed was comfortable and the bathroom was very modern and clean. The staff at the front desk were also very friendly.
Not a big deal, but the stairway smelled a bit like stale beer. That being said, the hotel is above a pub, so it can be expected. In fact, it kind of added to the atmosphere.

Friendly staff, breakfast was great too.

Very friendly staff. Excellent location.

The apartment was in a great location, about a 15 minute walk from the ferry terminal. The room was clean and had everything we needed. There is a bar downstairs and an Irish pub opposite which we really liked. We always take earplugs, as we are light sleepers and so any sound from outside wasn’t an issue.
The manager was very friendly. Thank you.

The Wi-Fi wasn’t working 80% of the time.

All was extremely clean and staff were pleasant and helpful
It was a little noisy but this was expected for a city location

Location inside the walls.
Very steep spiral staircase to the fourth floor, almost impossible for this fit 70 yr old with a case and not offered help. Leaking sink on bathroom floor. Very noisy from Irish bar opposite until 2 am. Charged 3,50 Euros for a tiny bottle of water.

Nothing.

Location within the old town and very close to bars and restaurants. Small rooms for four people but very well arranged. All the necessary inside.
Very kind staff.
Weak WiFi signal.

The location of the hotel is fantastic, based in the center of Saint Malo, just steps from the ocean as well as to plenty of restaurants, bars and shops. We really appreciated that the hotel room was in reality a small apartment with a separated seating area that allowed us to sit together while our son was sleeping (and taste the fantastic home-brews from the bar downstairs). In general the apartment was small but well set up with a fridge, microwave and sink. Everything was very clean and cosy. The staff was also incredibly friendly and helpful. We would be happy to stay here again.
The bathroom smelled a bit unpleasant but the bathroom was super clean and modern, it was obvious that the smell was coming from the pipes, which is not unusual in old buildings. Overall keeping the bathroom door shut solved the issue for us.

They gave coffee doses and tea, location is good, well heated, friendly welcome, easy check in, huge shower and clean bathroom
No cooking material in the apartment except microwave, dolce gusto, and fridge. But they have dishes it's a minor disappointment. In general this was a good experience

With that price, the room was comfortable enough, clean and well location, next to the beach
Check-in is definitely the thing that need to be improved. We arrived at 2pm, the check-in hour was 4pm. But the thing is we could not leave the luggage at the hotel since the reception closed until 4pm. There were many other guests in the same situation as us when booking in this hotel. So we have to wait for 2 hours with carrying the luggage with us.

The barman who checked us in was friendly. There was nothing else I liked.
We are living through a global pandemic, but there was no hand sanitiser visible upon check-in and no soap in our bathroom to wash our hands. In fact, there was no water coming out of the taps or the shower, so I guess soap was a moot point. It was clear the room (or any of the public areas) had not been deep cleaned as there was still a used shower gel sachet from the previous guest left in the bathroom...they'd been lucky with the water! We stayed in July and the temperature outside was 30 degrees, but there was no air conditioning in the room. We could open the small window of course but, as the hotel is actually a pub, the noise from the bar below that spilled out onto the street was loud and carried on late into the night/early morning. Additionally, there is an Irish pub about 4ft opposite which was much the same, so no sleep was had whatsoever. Not helped by how paper thin the walls were - we had 2 girls in the room next door and were treated to every detail of their wild night out when they got back, drunk, at 3am. It was a Monday, so goodness only knows how you'd fare on a weekend. There was no lift in the building, so to get in and out we had to navigate a very narrow spiral staircase that was only wide enough for one person at a time. We were on the top floor. This was also the only means of escape in a fire, and there were no emergency procedures notices anywhere, although we did see a fire extinguisher. If that building goes up in flames with guests inside it there will be casualties, no doubt about it. And a fire could well be on the cards, as there was exposed electrical wiring in the corridor. On the theme of health and safety, we had a glass shelf in the bathroom which was very badly cracked and broken - we dared not put anything on it. And it was just as well we had no water, as there was no hairdryer available anyway.

The staff were welcoming and they were happy to speak English to me, as my French language was poor!
It was just the staircase getting to my room.
