The Columbia River Gorge, with its mountains and rivers, offers the vacationer and recreation enthusiast the opportunity to windsurf, mountain bike, kayak, golf, ski, hike, fish, or just relax in the unhurried pace of a natural paradise. Historic buildings line the beautifully scenic streets of downtown Hood River, with a bustling shopping district featuring boutiques, designer shops, outdoor adventure gear outfitters, antique shops, art galleries and no less than 30 restaurants.
There are many orchards and vineyards in Hood River. The Hood River Valley is known for its luscious apples, pears, cherries, peaches and other fruits, and for the view of the majestic snowcapped peak of Mt. Hood. People from all over Oregon make an annual trek in the fall to the many farm stands to stock up on fresh apples and pears. Other produce is available, and varies by season. The Mt. Hood region and its more than sixty miles of forested mountains, 77 waterfalls and myriad lakes and streams are a rip-roaring mecca for outdoor adventure. The mountain is home to four ski areas and offers the country's only year-round skiing and snowboarding.

This house was absolutely perfect for our family’s visit! We met our 5 month old grandson for the first time because our daughter and hubs live in Seattle and we live in PA.
Great well stocked LARGE kitchen was terrific for cooking! I loved the taller counters.
Beds were so comfy and linens were dreamy.
Shower in upstairs bath was large also. I think one could park a Smart Car in it!!
Neighborhood was mellow and an easy walk into town. Highly recommend this lovely home.

An amazingly well done renovation/restoration to a classic Craftsman home. Location is excellent - totally walkable to 90% of what you'd want to see & do. Very comfortable home. Nice laundry. Easy parking. We discovered a Horse Chestnut tree across the street - never seen one! We totally recommend a stay in Cascade Chic, especially if you appreciate old Craftsmen homes - you'll love what they did with this one.

Chic retreat close to Fort Hood shops and restaurants. Our family was in town for a wedding and found the accommodations perfect for our needs.

House was clean. Location couldn't be better!

Clean and great location. Big bathrooms and huge kitchen. Really nice play to stay with a group

What a wonderful home! Our family had a great time walking downtown. The home had everything we needed. Thank you.

Amazing time!!! Will reserve it again!!!!

We had a great time! We were traveling with young kids and the house had more children's toys and supplies than we realized from the description. We were pleased to find a booster chair, pack n play, books, and sand toys in the closet. Great location too; walking distance from Children's park and the ice cream stand.
4.7
Great lower floor, beds and bathrooms. Could use a better cleaning, dust on the walls and paint. Would stay again.

We were very pleased with everything about our stay. Would recommend!

We had a group of 8 women for the weekend. This house fit all of us very comfortably. There was no shortage of towels or toilet paper. Comfortable beds! Which is a win for me. The location was perfect. Only 0.2 miles from Evoke Winery and walkable to the main shops in Hood River. The older couple next door was so kind too. I would book again in the future.

Enjoyed the house and Location. No complaints. Will definitely be back

Love this house! It is a magical craftsman on a great lot. A little more soft seating in the living room would be good, though.

This property was spectacular to stay in for a family trip to Hood River. The location can't be beat and it's incredibly appointed. Highly recommend.
4.7
This property is the most impressive I have ever had the opportunity to stay in! It felt like coming home as soon as we walked in the door! The style, vibe, comfort, downtown location, EVERYTHING was perfect! If I had to pick only one thing, it would be the open living/dining/kitchen area where we gathered with our new in-laws! And the kitchen----it is AMAZI
NG! You will not be disappointed with anything here at Cascade Chic!

We hosted a small group for a dinner party and enjoyed the community space. Then my husband and I stayed there the night after our wedding and it was a glorious place to unwind.

After years of renting from Arrived, we finally found a dud. The places we've rented in the past were really nice. This one not so much. I feel ripped off on this one. Live and learn.

The main level common space is very large. Three bedrooms up and one bath up and the other down. The lower bathroom is nicely outfitted but water pressure was low in shower. Driveway is very narrow and only space for one car to park. We were able to easily find space on the road. The kitchen is great but we had an ant problem and did not cook anything at the house

My family of 5 had a great stay. Walking distance to shops and restaurants. My 3 girls enjoyed the basement area with ping pong and Foose ball table. The house was equipped with everything we needed. Large kitchen and dining area! Will be back!

Overall it was a pretty good stay. The home was in a great location and easy to access fun things in Hood River. Our only frustration or disappointment was the home was not stocked with any napkins, zip lock bags, Tupperware, or tin foil/Saran wrap. We also only received half a roll of paper towels and not back up. It make cooking and storage food nearly impossible. We came with some friends and young kids and not having those essential supplies was challenging. Also, the home was clean but really only surface. Lots of build up dust and dirt.

Visited the house with friends for a weekend. We appreciated the proximity to downtown’s restaurants. Wished we would have used the kitchen, which was pretty nice and well stocked.

Great House with a few issues
We loved the house, especially the first floor - very open- and the kitchen lacks for nothing… even the knives are sharp.
I'm not sure who checks on this house but the carpet upstairs is disgusting. It should probably be replaced but at the very least, cleaned between guest/pets.
Our other issue - which got markedly better after 2 pest control applications - was box elder bugs inside the house. I was awakened several nights because they were crawling on me in the bed. One was on my coffee thermos one morning and I almost swallowed it, our son bought cotton balls and blue painters tape and tried to seal up the air conditioner side panels in order to keep the bugs out. We rented Cascade Chic for 3 weeks and dealt with these bugs in the house for 2 of those weeks. I will say that the Arrived staff got right on the situation and staff members tried to solve it. The house could could be a 4 or 5 star but someone needs to take a good look at the interior of the house which is tired, including some of the bed linens.

Great location, close to town and able to sleep a lot. Nice open living space downstairs with the kitchen and living room.

Great location
This place was perfect for our ladies meet-up. It is cute as a button, very spacious, and in a great location. We liked the feather tics and the feather pillows. The king bed was very firm while the others were perfect. We liked all the windows and the downstairs sitting area. The laundry is in basement. The driveway is very narrow up to the backdoor parking area. The front and side porch slants away from the building. The structure sits on a hillside with street parking available.

The location is in a quiet neighborhood, and ideal for short walks into town to great restaurants, breweries, wine tasting rooms and shopping. We also appreciated the outdoor gas grill, and quiet backyard sitting area. Looking forward to visiting again!
