Take advantage of special beach gear and bike credit! This Kiawah Island vacation rental, located in Vanderhorst Plantation, is an updated home with plenty of room for the whole family. It features 7 bedrooms, a private pool, and is a 15-minute bike ride to the beach. This home now offers a Tesla Charger in the garage for guest use.

Enter the main living area and immediately notice the details- coffered ceiling, arch ways, brick accent wall, built-in shelving, and a view of the pool area through glass double doors and large windows. Relax on the comfortable sofa and 2 chairs while visiting with friends and family or while watching TV on the large flat-screen TV. The updated kitchen has white and blue cabinets, a large center island with seating for 5, a patterned back splash, stainless steel appliances, and is equipped with everything needed to make a meal. Adjacent to the kitchen is the round dining table that seats 6. There is also a sunroom with a sofa and 2 chairs.

The large, first-floor master suite features a king bed, access to the pool deck, seating for 2, and access to a private bathroom with his and her sinks, walk-in shower with bench, and soaking tub. The second-floor features 4 bedrooms all with private bathrooms that have tiled walk-in showers. Two of the bedrooms both have king sized beds and have access to a shared balcony. There is also a queen bedroom and another king bedroom. On the third-floor, the remaining 2 bedrooms both feature 2-full sized beds each and share a bathroom with a tiled walk-in shower. One bedroom has direct access to the bathroom, but it can also be accessed from the hallway.

The home is equipped with washer, dryer, and high-speed wireless internet.

The back deck features lounge seating, a pool that is roughly 20 ft long, with a depth of 6 ft. Guests can enjoy a friendly game of ping pong in the garage.

The home also features an elevator that is available upon request. For safety, the elevator is kept locked for guests who do not require its service.

During your stay on Kiawah Island, be sure to enjoy biking on the 30 miles of flat bike trails, golfing on one of five world-class courses, playing tennis, crabbing, fishing, swimming, and boating. Many families also enjoy the kids’ camp and nature programs at Night Heron Park.

Kiawah Island is about 40 minutes from historic Charleston, famous for incredible shopping, galleries, antique stores, museums, the South Carolina Aquarium, horse-drawn carriage rides, historic landmarks, and sumptuous dining.

Guest reservations of 3 to 21 nights come with a valuable credit to use towards beach gear rentals during your stay! The credit amount for this property is $400. You may use your credit for bicycles, beach chairs and umbrellas, beach carts, kayaks, stand-up paddleboards, and more – the choice is yours!

This pool has a gas heater, so the pool may be heated in cooler months for $75/per day for the entire stay. It can take 24-48 hours for the pool water to reach the optimal temperature of 85-87 degrees. When the air temperature falls below 55 degrees, typically November-March, pool heaters have difficulty achieving the optimal temperature. In this case, pool heating will not be available.

RESERVATION PROCESS: Your reservation is not confirmed until you return the Akers Ellis Rental Agreement. This document will be sent to you via email within a few hours of making your reservation. You need to review and electronically fill out, sign, and submit the agreement within 24 hours. Once returned, Akers Ellis will collect payment and send you a reservation confirmation via email.

4 story house but elevator remained broken. They worked on it the first day but no more. We paid extra to have pool heated but some furniture at pool was unusable without cushions and it was taking up a lot of deck space. We asked that they get lounge cushions or move the wooden slatted unusable loungers. They lied and said it was the furniture that was pictured but it wasn’t. Claimed they couldn’t move them so we could have enough space for our family to sit so my 60 year old self moved them. For what we paid that was poor customer service. Lauren was helpful.

We enjoyed staying at the Kiawah Island rental home. It was lovely and perfect for our group. It was centrally located and was a lovely layout. Everyone had plenty of space & the kit h & dining area was large enough for our group. I did have a couple of issues. Is there someone who could reach out to me? Thank you!!

This place was perfect for our large family vacation. Beach access was very convenient and having a pool for afternoon entertainment was perfect. This was the most well stocked kitchen we have ever rented. We had an excellent stay and very much enjoyed all the conveniences of Akers Ellis rentals!

Very spacious, and clean home. We all enjoyed our stay and were happy to see extra chairs to fit several of us around the dining table. The little sun room was also nice for overflow. We all enjoyed all the bike paths in the area. If we had any issue, it would be not being able to park the cars near the board walks to access the beach.

Our only complaint was the A/C unit on 2nd floor didn’t cool below 76 degrees, though we had technician out twice. Glad this was not July! Otherwise the home was beautiful, spacious, clean and perfectly located.

I rented this property to accommodate a group of friends as my house on Kiawah is under renovation. None of them had visited the island before. They all enjoyed both the visit and the lodging. The house has plenty of room and great common spaces.

The house was beautiful and exactly as the listing and photos described. We had 4 adult couples, 7 kids and plenty of space. The number of bathrooms made showering up after the beach super convenient, each one with good water pressure and we never lacked for hot water. Two washing machines was a big bonus with lots of kids hitting the pool and beach daily. The location was lovely, less than a 10 minute bike ride to the beach. We really enjoyed our stay!

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The house renovation and layout is great. We loved the colors, the way the bedrooms and bathrooms were renovated, and spaced out. We had plenty of space and were very comfortable. The house, for the most part, felt new and was well equipped with toiletries, hairdryers, etc.. The furniture is worn and some need replacing. We stayed for almost 2 months and did encounter a lot of issues. Given the pandemic and the situation, the management company was a bit inconsistent at addressing our concerns.

The home is exactly as represented in photos and there were additional pleasant surprises, like family games, speakers and a ping pong table for fun. The property management and beach rental companies were extremely responsive and helpful. Location was perfect and within walking distance to beach. We would highly recommend staying here for your time in Kiawah.

There is plenty of room for everything and the layout works perfectly for large groups. The only criticism would be the cleaning company that services the house. The house exceeded our expectations and everyone raved about it. The home is very spacious and the bedrooms were all very comfortable. The home was clean and well supplied. There is an elevator that is very functional and safe. It appeared to be new and was a great help in just getting our luggage and groceries all up to the 1st floor. The management company too was very excellent in providing information and assistance. We had a small problem with a house lock and the pool, they were very responsive and took care of them quickly. There are two sets of washer/dryers and TV's in every bedroom and two more on the first floor in living area. We had 14 people in the house and everyone felt the house was very spacious. There were 5 cars in the driveway and still plenty of parking. Overall it was a great experience. The location is very nice too. The ride to and from of Charleston is very scenic and beautiful.
