Lindo!

Friendly, helpful, cheerful staff. Clean, organized, full breakfast for a very reasonable price (~$3.25), quiet pedestrian street, big fully loaded kitchen, close to shopping and bus. Totally secure luggage storage. Quilotoa hiking routes and info.

Good location and information to plan next steps in the area!
Some lights were not working in the room, including the only one in the bathroom.

We only had short stays here, before and after the Quilatoa loop. The staff and the room was great. They were super helpful in guiding us on the transport options and also in answering any questions we had. We were able to keep our big bags safely here whilst we were away for the hike which was helpful. The place seemed quite social although we were pretty tired so didn't socialise on either stay.

Zentrale Lage war super! Ambiente ist schön.
Viel zu hellhörige Zimmer!
Kein wirklich warmes Wasser.

It's a good budget option in a town most people are only using as a jumping off point. Decent value for money, and the staff can answer questions about hiking options in the area.
Rooms were a bit dingy, but again, for the price, it was fine.

Nice view over cotopaxi from our window. Kitchen was well equipped.
Rooster 🐓 from 1 am, noisy building

No windows meant a dark room.

Room without windows.

Everything about this hostel was amazing! Great dorm beds and hot hot showers! The kitchen was well equipped and the views from the rooftop of Cotopaxi at sunrise were mind boggling!
Loved my time in Latacunga!

Friendly and helpful staff, overall clean, nice indoor common area, safe luggage storage
(my) room was dark, no window to the outside, luggage storage costs 1$ per day

Charmant hostal dans une rue piétonne
Belle cuisine avec salle commune
Eau chaude

Location is very good! Right at the city centre. They offer bag storage for the Quilotoa loop for $1 per day (if you stayed there).
Room was very big, bed and pillows were comfy.
Nice common area. Hot shower was good!
Our room was at the streetside and was a little bit noisy unfortunately. Also the bathroom was verrrry small (but had all the necessary stuff so was okay, but a little more space would be even more comfy)

Great place to stay for starting the Quilotoa trek and/or tours to Cotopaxi.

Helpful staff. Great kitchen and facilities. Good value for money.

Good location
Very basic room, small bed and basic hostal.
The dorm wqs nkt well equipped. No plug per bed, very small bed and no light per bed. Which is very inconvenient.

Nice hostal to meet people and leave your backpack to do the Quilotoa loop
Very basic, dorm was not good. Low beds (so you hit your head), no small lamp per bed and only 1 plug per room. That is not how you setup a dorm for 6+ people.

Spacious rooms and lovely common area.

The hostel was comfortable and quiet, with large sized private rooms. The location is very central and walkable to the bus terminal and to various restaurants, shops and banks. Staff are friendly and accomodating. The kitchen is large and very well equipped. You are able to store your luggage there if you are doing the Quilotoa loop.
We stayed there twice on either side of the Quilotoa loop- the first time we didn’t have any hot water in our shower, but the second time we did, so it may be a little temperamental. Although the kitchen is very well stocked, you can only use it after 10am, which means that cooking breakfast is somewhat off limits, which we found to be quite inconvenient. The hostel charges for you to fill up your bottle with drinkable water, which we thought was a little off putting, and would have preferred to pay a couple of dollars extra for accommodation and be provided free drinking water, like everywhere else that we have stayed. Luggage storage is also not free, but we were fine to pay this.

Good hostel
The laundry is too much expensive

Pretty decent backpacker hostel. Great common area. Great kitchen. Good info. Helpful staff. Warm shower.
Very thin walls. Loud at night. Poor construction left an 1/8 inch gap at the bottom of the wall in the loft. This was a shared wall with reception. Whenever the light would go on it would light up the room, not drastically, but enough to disturb sleep.

Helpful staff and cozy rooms
No sound proofing, extremely noisy by early morning (5am)

Reservation got canceled just before we got there
They still gave us another room but only with a little discount

Great location, hot showers and a secure locker room for your bags if completing the Quilatoa hike!
Breakfast could be slightly more organised in the mornings for hikers who are leaving swiftly.

The place is nice and has a big terasse where you can even see Cotopaxi on a sunny day. The room was nice and we also let our big backback there for the Quilotoa Loop.
The breakfast is little expensive for what it is.

My first stay was great. It's a good location, the staff are helpful.
Second time I stayed the bed was awful. It was sunk on one side so I kept rolling that way. Pillow was rock hard and the bottom sheet keep coming off so I was lying on the unhygienic bare mattress. I had the worst night's sleep I ever had in a hostel. I could barely sleep a few hours. And I'm the kind of person who sleeps well on a night bus.
Plus they charged 6usd to keep my bags whilst I did the Quilotoa trek. I met a guy who stayed in Latacunga hostel and they kept them for free.

Big rooms. Good communal areas. Roof terrace is nice. Location good
Sheets don't fit the bedwhich is annoying when trying to sleep. They charge to keep bags while on the loop which think some others don't in town. Also for other treks people don't charge. I think it's a bit mean.

Breakfast was good, location was convenient.
Room was dark. The place felt old and run-down There was only one toilet and 2 showers for everyone on the floor, they charged for filtered water and luggage storage.

Perfect place to stay before you are heading or coming back from the Quilotoa loop. The staff is attentive and super helpful. I had a flight on the next day when I finished the Quilotoa loop. They bought the bus ticket to Guayanquil for me, so that had a guarantee that there will be availability when I will be back from the track.
4.0
Great place to stay in Latacunga. Breakfast was really good and the rooms were spacious. They also offer bag storage for a fee, for folks doing the Quilotoa Loop.
Water refills are not free (0.50 for 1L). Also, the rooms on the main floor are not soundproofed at all. We could hear the person in the room next to us blowdrying their hair at 7 am.
4.0
nice staff, good location, big common space
rooms are basic, bed sheets and towel were dirty, you have to pay to refill your water bottles (which is way more expensive than the price of a new bottle of water)
