About this house rental
Our doors opened in June 2018 after 457 days of restoration! Featured in Our State's Around Town series and American Farmhouse, Sixty-One Park is a historic farmhouse located in the heart of downtown Bryson City. Bryson City has been called “The Tiny Town in the Middle of Everything” and Sixty-One Park is right downtown, just a short walk to the Great Smoky Mountains Railroad, breweries, local parks and all the cutest shops and restaurants. Perfect set up for a family vacation or a trip with friends!
The Sixty-One Park Farmhouse has been fully brought up to date with all modern comforts while keeping all the farmhouse character. The farmhouse has 4 bedrooms and sleeps eight comfortably. The downstairs has an open floor plan with the kitchen, living room, dining room and game room. The farmhouse has multiple living areas for reading, resting and personal space. A large screen TV is located in the living room. We’ve stocked the farmhouse with books and board games as well. We’ve tried to think of every detail that will make your stay perfection. In the warmer months our succulent wall and National Park-inspired charcoal grill make for great entertaining. In November and December the house is fully decked out for Christmas and the Polar Express.
From Sixty-One Park you can walk to the nearby seasonal Friday farmers’ market for fresh produce from our local farmers, honey from our local beekeepers and crafts from local artisans. Walk along the river and put your feet in the cool water at nearby Island Park. Hop in the car and drive just 2.5 miles to the entrance to the Great Smoky Mountains National Park. Three waterfalls are within a short hiking distance and in the spring/summer you can bring your inner tube to float down the gentle rapids of Deep Creek. Nearby favorite day trips include Cherokee, Gatlinburg, and Asheville.
There is an external security camera actively recording the driveway outside of the house.

My family and I come to Bryson City every summer for a short stay because it is my mom’s hometown and I spent many summers as a kid in this quaint city. This property is by far the best we’ve stayed in yet. The location is perfect for shopping and checking out the local restaurants. The house was clean, comfortable and beautifully decorated. We brought extra cooking supplies, paper products, etc but everything was already provided when we arrived. We enjoyed many cups of coffee on the front porch listening to the train go by and my daughter especially enjoyed watching a cute groundhog come out to eat in the backyard every morning. We will definitely look forward to renting this property again in the future!

A beautiful historic home in a fantastic location made our getaway very enjoyable. Everything we needed was there. We had six adult guests and there was plenty of room inside or outside to enjoy each other’s company without feeling cramped. Town was walkable from the home (there is a bit of a hill on the return trip). The kitchen was well appointed and had what we needed. We easily parked three MINI Coopers in the driveway. We very much enjoyed the historic pieces around the home and the railroad theme. We plan to return!

We were so impressed with The Farmhouse. No complaints. The property is immaculate. Everything you could need is provided. The quality of the furnishings is excellent. I’m always a stickler for having the right type of bedding & we were very happy with it. Plenty of extra pillows & blankets were available. The property is centrally located in town which is wonderful to have the amenities so close by. We spent a lot of time at Deep Creek & being at The Farmhouse was so convenient. Out of the many times we’ve stayed in BC this has been our favorite BnB by far. All the modern essentials with the historic charm. Thank you, for providing such a wonderful experience & venue to share with our family in our favorite city. This was our first time staying so long and it truly felt like home away from home.

We LOVE this home…perfect for train enthusiasts!!! (Which we are!) Ashley has created a magical place of yesteryear with all the conveniences of today. Bryson City, itself, is beautiful. We rode “The Polar Express” and walked to the train station. We eagerly watched from the porch each time the train pulled out to the North Pole ! Sooooo much fun! Absolutely amazing home to make precious memories with your family.

We took the grandkids (2 of which are crazy for trains) to ride the Polar Express and this property was perfect! From the close proximity (walking distance), to all the train related toys and books, the kids loved it! The house has tons of history and the owners took great care to preserve it. Every detail has been considered to make guests feel at home.

Perfect location for exploring Deep Creek's trio of waterfalls, and the Nantahala River Gorge. Wish we would have had one more day so we could check out all the interesting shops in downtown Bryson City. House was charming, cozy and exceptionally clean.

We came to Bryson City to celebrate my Mother-In-Law’s 90th birthday, with a train ride to the Nantahala Outdoor Center. The Bryson City Farmhouse was the perfect home for our son, his wife & 2 children, ages 21 & 14 to stay at during our family gathering on the Great Smokey Mountain Railway. The home was very neat, clean, decor was perfect & just a short walk from the train depot. They absolutely loved the home, with all its unique history. Thank you all!

This place was the best VRBO we have ever booked. We got exactly what we expected and then some. We met 2 of the owners and you couldn't ask for nicer people. Four of us travel together and we can't stop talking about it. If we were ever to come back to this area this will be the place we stay.

The home is a work of art and we appreciated the comfortable furnishings and kitchen with everything we needed. Ashley was an A+ host and very responsive to all of my questions. I look forward to returning to this beautiful home again in the future! 🙏

We were really impressed with this property. Very clean, amenities as described. 5 minute walk into town for food and sightseeing. Grocery store was a 5 minute drive and open until 10pm. We went whitewater rafting and ziplining which was a 15 minute drive. Also went tubing down Deep Creek - again a 5 minute drive. We enjoyed breakfast and coffee from La Dolce Vita Bakery, bagels from Mountain Perks, and ice cream and chocolate from the Chocolate Shoppe. Restaurants for dinner were okay - food was okay, staff were friendly everywhere.
I would definitely stay at this home again. Very clean, beds were comfortable, showers were clean and they provided shampoo, conditioner, and body wash. Highly recommend!!!

Loved the home-spacious, very clean, and well decorated; location was perfect for tubing at Deep Creek and whitewater rafting at NOC; enjoyed walks downtown; close to Darnell Farms (a must whenever in the area); granddaughters thoroughly enjoyed the nice flat backyard for playing volleyball.

My family and I were thrilled to stay in another of Ashley's properties. We come to Bryson City every summer, and our best experiences have been when we stay at Hazel House and now the Farmhouse. The property is perfectly clean every time and well stocked. The beds are also beautifully comfortable, and we all slept great. We are looking forward to booking again for next summer!

What a glorious time with our grandchildren. They loved having their own rooms, 2 boys in the twins and the girls in the queen. We played cards, laughed with each other, explored the town, rode the train and saw Unto These Hills. We discovered a long snakeskin on the property and started to get closer to show the boys when the real snake came running. We all screamed and then took pictures of the snake skin. None of us will ever forget it. We loved, loved this house.

Very warm and spotless homey place, away from home. As rated 5 stars all the way! Ashley’s attention to detail was impeccable. She’s a super host indeed and A1 “tourist guide.” She took the time to give us pointers on Bryson City’s attractions, even delivered blankets for us to take to watch the sunset! It’s a beautiful farmhouse in a quiet location, yet close to downtown Bryson. We stayed for 4 nights, and ventured to neighboring towns. It’s truly relaxing to come home to our “home sweet home.” I’m hoping to come back in the fall with my family, and experience Nantahala Nature Center. Thank you Ashley for a very memorable stay. Cheers! .

This was the perfect location for my extended family during our Thanksgiving trip. It was our home away from home. The location is perfect for Polar Express train rides super close by. And I appreciate the special touches throughout the house like the Ethiopian coffee the host provided from a local coffee shop that I am now obsessed with and the toys that my kids enjoyed during our stay! I wouldn’t hesitate to book this property again next time we are in Bryson City.

This is such a cool place! It’s so much fun! Thank you Ashley for putting your spin on 61 Park that makes it uniquely one of a kind! The train photos, the attention to detail is simply perfect! Bryson City is a charming town with so many things to explore. Of course, our favorite was the Polar Express train ride! A must at Christmas time! (Get tickets really early, though!) This Home on VRBO is 100% A+ all the way! Simply magical!

A Beautiful and Historic Home
61 Park is a property where memories can be made. Roomy and well-appointed, 61 Park offers all the comforts of home nestled in the bustling historically rich Bryson City. Not many miles from Tennessee, close to Cherokee, and a short distance to Asheville, it's nestled in the Smoky Mountains and retains a good bit of its historic personality with touches of the railroad sprinkled throughout--a fitting tribute to the family who most recently lived and raised their chidren there. The broad porch is still wonderful to sit on and watch the nearby mountain from, the yard is still perfect for playing in, and the EV parking is a welcome addition. You can hear the train down at the depot whistle and start up--a nice bit of yesteryear which remains vibrant. And Ashley's a wonderful host and made us feel quite welcome. Definitely a spot I hope we have a chance to return to in the near future.

Everything went well. Just a few friends came to Bryson City to do some fly fishing. This made a great base for us to come and go from. The house was beautifully remodeled and can easily accommodate 7 to 8 people. This is a 5 star accommodation. One of the owners, Ashley, was very helpful.
