I came with my family for Easter, we were a group of 9. This location is amazing, has security 24/7, feels exclusive to be in the awesome penthouse which oversees the city and a small part of the beach. Walking to the beach is also incredibly easy, just a block away. This was my first time using Vrbo vs the other usual apps, and I've traveled extensively to more than 30 countries in the past few years. For this trip to Rio, our host Marcus is hands down the most caring and incredible person I've had throughout all my trips. Marcus made everything SO easy for us and accommodated multiple of our requests. We had a flight cancellation last minute and he also helped us navigate all of that. Easily one of the best places I've stayed at. 5/5 experience and will absolutely come back again.

We were very happy with everything about this rental from Marcus Andre. First, he is an excellent host - helpful, accomodating and with many helpful connections. We (our family of 7) enjoyed spending almost 3 wks here during the World Cup. The apartment is really great - spacious, open, well equipped and with comforts of home. It is indeed a 12th story penthouse with a bit of an ocean view in a secure building and in the calmer Leme neighborhood. One block to the beach, three blocks to Copacabana. Access to buses, taxi, Metro as well as markets and good restaurants nearby. All amenities are as described including comforts of A/C, satellite TV, wi-fi and a nice kitchen. There are 3 suites each with private bath. These baths are nice, including adequate hot water - not always a guarantee in Brazil. Everything in the apartment was functional. The property was definitely clean and in good condition. I would not hesitate to recommend this location and apartment to anyone interested in being in a hospitable locale close to Copacabana or Botafogo.

We had a cracking fortnight at Marcus' property in mid June 2014- using it as a base as we went out to matches at the Maracana and what a base it was. Brilliantly situated- with the beach on metres away, whilst being in the midst of a relaxed Brazilian community. Four bedrooms- 3 of which were really good- the foruth was not quite so good but my two older sons were relaxed. The lounge was lovely and large with a massive TV and the terrace was spot on for BBQs and chilling out on. The property was first class and we all came away feeling with had the holiday of a lifetime. Only problem was going home!
